That should not be required at CW.
They may have just accepted it..
Jack, I thought the same. But my online 90-days were twice rejected, noting "Update TM.30". Not sure what that means; my TM.30 is in my wife's name & the dates are correct. Expiring at next year's extension. We've lived in the same house for 32 years!
Any ideas?

All savings accounts are subject to 15% with holding tax, some banks will not deduct the tax, for the first 20k of interest earned, as along as you show them your Tax ID card.
Does the include the 800k required to extend retirement visas?

The question of whether withholding tax would be deducted from foreign remittances was asked in the French embassy video and the French speaking RD lady said, "Fortunately not".
Does this mean that I can transfer / remit from my foreign bank account created pre-2024 without the 15% tax? I presume I don't have to file as I live off savings.

I don't think they have the resources to step up resources. Their inspectors apparently have quite a backlog already.
Yes, but I bet they will target farang, business as usual.

Let's keep on topic and go back to VISA issues only.
Feel free to open a separate thread about mass tourism.
Thanks! 🙏
Thanks for your efforts to keep us in line, George. It could be chaos!
Will you please point us to the tax thread or tell us where to search? Thx.

Or more likely they are eliminating it and adding a health insurance requirement to all non-O visas based on retirement.
THAT would be a serious bummer. No hope for me at 75.

Also presumably O visas on basis of marriage and dependency will also come under 5, Other.
Also I would assume this reclassification will effect issuance of new visas, not extensions of existing non-O visas....?
Health insurance is going to be really hard on spouse visa-holders. Many have a spouse visa because they don't have the dosh to tie up in retirement. Let's hope they grandfather us in for existing non-O extensions. Thanks for your take, Sheryl.

I will have more time than money, so OK to wait at Queen Sirikit Hospital. I have never been to a government hospital either and wonder how it is. In the future I will have no more health insurance, so the gov. hospitals will be my choice then if I need them.
Govt hospitals are cheaper per doctor consult but often rushed through with not very effective ideas. Sometimes downright hooey. They want to prescribe you a grab bag of name brand meds--think Pfizer, GSC, etc.. Those big pharma brands are not cheap.
A few have generics but not many import from cheaper countries. The U.S. has a $35/month cap on insulin. Insulin is a lifesaver--it should be FREE!
-
Stupid question: If I can get insulin prescribed in Canada, can it be mailed here? Would it be cheaper?

The problem with meds from India is it's so difficult to pay them!

No surprise, our city water comes from the Chao Phraya. The PVC pipes are close to the surface, not buried as in the West. This means hot water when it's hot. Terrible amount of chlorine (take a breath of your tank).
We have had a stainless steel three stage water filter. Prefer stainless to plastic. Changed the filters--B 1,500. Ceramic center filter is black and slimy. Water tastes like sh**.
Big left filter is some kind of resin beads, right is charcoal, center is ceramic.
Reverse osmosis removes all minerals, not so good for health long-term.
Any recommendations? Thanks.

Late coming back to this topic. Made appt at CW in person, next one worked online. Go figure.
Yes, wait a few days but it's always a gamble not to get caught out & spend a whole day in queue, CW traffic & so on.
However, I have read elsewhere that the FIRST 90-day report after a new extension has to be made either in person or by mail.
Anyone had such experience? Would be way easier to just continue clicking the magnifying glass!
Thanks for your help.

I just opened link and did dry run.
There is no place to enter port of entry.
TM6 etc.
I then checked my past approved TM47 receipts.
Few fields are blank.
In other words not required.
Thanks, Jack. I'll give it a try next time.

Right, I guess. Good to know the arrival card number is unimportant. The problem seems to be my port of entry.
My application was 'pending' for two weeks so I had to go on the last day to avoid the fine.

There is no field for TM6.
Folk using this just fill in pp # and nationality and then hit magnifying glass.
Any field that needs change just backspace in field and make change.
One example of possible change : last entry date.
Thanks, Jack. I used the magnifying glass method & change the date of expiry. But nowhere to enter port of entry so it does not appear on completed PDF.
Any ideas, please?

Online reporting worked great through 2022. But after my latest retirement extension, the online system failed for me.
When I submit my report online, the PDF generated on submission left several crucial items blank such as the tick-box for “NON-IMM”, port of entry (“BY”), and “ARRIVAL CARD NO.” Nothing has changed for me and all other information is correct.
This means a whole day, at considerable expense, to get to Chaeng Wattana, and wait in the endless queue if one is not lucky enough to secure one of only 14 five-minute appointments in one’s allotted 10-day reporting window. The IO at this desk obviously did not ‘update’ my data in the online system.
Surely there must be a way to correct one’s data!?!
Anybody know? Ubonjoe?
Thanks in advance! (Takes me awhile to get back to TV these days...)

No Naltrexone in Thailand. Here they use Naloxone for overdoses. Not the same.
LDN for a year did not work for me: Hashimoto's / adrenals.

We're all sooo bored of boosters. And do we now have to pay for vax? If it's free, there may be takers. If it costs, those numbers will go up. Covid isn't finished with us yet.
