Hard to understand how anyone can drown, except maybe in rough open seas. Even a basic knowledge of how to swim would keep you afloat.
It may be hard to understand for some or even for many. But perhaps getting to familiar with the dangers (and there must be dangers, if an average of 10 people per day are drowning in LOS) that are at the root of the statistics would make it easier to understand, and might be the beginning of fewer drowings.

"This tariff change provides a vital glimpse into the complex world of global trade relations."
And what does that mean? I mean, what are we able to see in that vital glimpse, and what does it lend to our understanding of that complex world?
My estimation is, not much.

Those are foolish words. Every nation needs friends, even if you're the richest country in the world. That status can fall away very fast, and with Trump's trade policies (i.e., tariffs) they will fall away fast. Trump only understands, it seems, "I win-you lose" deals, and not a win-win philosophy. This American has no confidence in the Trump administration and I expect the USA to be third-rate, soon,

Maybe I'm annoying, but I would like to come back what I pointed out:
You admitted not to do or dislike sports?
Well, you have to overcome yourself. And I'm convinced with a little bit of special exercise your conditions will improve:
Pelvic floor training is a completely unknown area for many men. That's why you first have to find out how you feel the pelvic floor. Exercises: finding the pelvic floor. A simple basic exercise helps: act as if you wanted to stop the stream of urine and contract the corresponding muscles a few times. Then squeeze your buttocks several times. The area between the muscles you have just contracted one after the other is the one that matters. This is the perineum, which consists primarily of pelvic floor muscles. You can train this area unnoticed in everyday life, while standing at the bus stop, talking on the phone, brushing your teeth, at the checkout in the supermarket or even while sitting at your desk or in front of the TV.
You want to give a try?
Thanks for reminding me of this exercise!
I would like to also suggest the areas of herbal medicine and diet, where there is much to address the issue. -

Well, who will have the last word on this one?! There are more views and opinions than there are angles in the compass. I don't like to jump to conclusions, presume, or assume too much, because so much is unknown. From what I can see, however, there didn't appear to be a clear Indication of who had offended whom initially. But it appears to have escalated into reciprocated violence, with both parties trying to inflict injury on each other.
As for Phuket, I enjoyed a little time there a few years back. And I find any occurrences of violence in Thailand, or anywhere, regrettable when there is so much potential for good things to be happening.

It's always terrible to hear about something like this, the silver lining is that these mass shootings are relatively infrequent here in Thailand, unlike in America, where they happen almost daily. However America seems to have more of a fascination with violence, guns are very easy to acquire and there are a lot of very insane people running around.
Sorry, but in my opinion, that is hardly to be called a silver lining.

I know you can get "ripped off" by going to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. However does someone know if any of the other hospitals have neurologist that can test for nerve damage. I suspect she has either Carpal Tunnel or Ulnar Tunnel or perhaps both.
I'm not in Pattaya, but in Khon Kaen. My wife very recently had a nerve test on her right arm/hand/fingers and the cost was around 11,000 baht at the Bangkok Hospital here. I don't know if I'd call that a rip-off or not, but it seemed to open the door for more treatments at the University Hospital here.

The cat is already out of the bag.
Every farmer is already growing ganja. There is going to be a lot of weed here soon. They have jumped on the bangwagon for its going to be a cash cow. And cash is King here.
Yeah, sure. If every farmer were (and of course every farmer is not) growing marijuana it would be a very cheap substance to procure and would be about worthless to the government in terms of tax revenues. Cash cow? I can imagine weed at the morning market about 500 baht a kilo.

May I ask what the duty of a lifeguard is if it's not to save people in cases like this?
I know, I know, he did warn them etc. But that would surely mean he's just a guard, not a lifeguard.
I think you are confusing "lifeguard" with "live saver". I was once a life guard, however never saved a life, nor was I ever called upon by circumstance to do so. Also, in this case, it would have been foolish to swim out after the victims. Using a jetski might have been plausible, but evidently was not an option.

Why not get a 90 day non o visa before you leave, nothing to worry about then.
Good question. (all questions are good, only there are inevitably some stupid answers.)
Back to the 30+30+60.... it the 60 day extension "to visit Thai wife" a relatively recent change? I've been away from LOS a few years, and I believe at the time I was there, after a 90 day visa, one could extend a month, but with a Thai wife could extend two months.

Chinese herbalism might be an effective approach. There are various shops in Thailand, ranging in competency and offering different pricing. Finding one with a qualified herbalist might be possible, and if not, one with a manual of herbal remedies.
Here in the US, there is an online outlet that carries a couple of remedies that may well address the issue. See activeherb.com and look for "nasal and sinus support". If you are able to try their products, please let me know your results!
