  1. ICON Plaza, Computer City - northside of moat are best priced outlets + Panthip Plaza, maybe closer to you?

Last time I asked at Pantip, I was given some address elsewhere which I lost. So I assumed they weren't available there. I'll check again tomorrow. If not, I'll try Icon. Thanks.

    CM computer building maybe?

    Khuang singha intersection

  2. I have not had children in the school but am familiar with it and have friends who have had children graduate from the school and go on to university.

It is THE best government school in the city. My understanding is that unless you live within the school's attendance district, it is very difficult for a student to gain admittance, which is by competitive exam for a very limited number of places. There is, I believe, an application form that is available from the school office where you could certainly ask more about admission requirements and the various programs.

Has both Thai and English programs. You need to explore this better for what is most suitable for the girl.

The new school year begins next April-May so you have plenty of time to learn more.

    Good luck to her!

    like Mapguy said

It is said to be the best in Chiang Mai

but in my opinion Pinkarat is better in language (if you can afford their payment , force you to be a holder of stocks to be able to attend)

have an English program , but not that much of and English

it's for a Thai students who have a gift at language would have a special separated classes and course and teachers would teach subjects in quite "half" English (Thai teachers speaking English , that's why I call "half")

with an extra English classes (Two or three times) teaches by farang teacher.

you can judge their quality from my grammar (shame to say this) I grad from there for 3 or 4 years now. normal program. worst class in a whole.

  3. North side of the moat , start from Chang puek gate , there's several shops that sale military uniform and camping stuff.

there's some in Rincome plaza (at night) , in Chang puek gate (opposite to soccer field or something)

edit/ they usually don't have that large in store , but I sure they can order it for you

  4. I met some problem yesterday.

I was riding back to home and stopped at some intersection , shift to N , rev down down and pshh ..... stall ....

and it was hard to start again . even started , the rev keep going down below 1500. I have to open thorttle a little to help it and have to keep it rev higher than 1700.

the engine knocked two more time at some intersection , while I let it idle , sounds like not enough fuel injected to me.

got back to home safely , I tore it down , check everything especially electrical system , and nothing found.

I test start it . yet . still easy to stall if let the throttle. so I think It should be an FI system and nothing for me to do . was decided to go to mech

this morning I turn the key , started . then I instantly figure it out.

I left the bike unused for 4 day , making a fiberglass , there's bubble of air in the injection pump and have to turn the key on and off several times to bleed the air out.

and that day , was heavy rained and the air was damp (very) , my bike Idle is normally lower than others so it would be easy for it to stall .

  5. Finally got mine today . So far so good. Pleasant to ride, not complaint from the wrist so far, I'm 179 (approx 5'10"). What still surprise me is how high the engine rev. Rode the PCX for a year got bored of just twist and go B). What I really need is a place to repaint the exhaust cover, silver on a black bike just ain't doing it. Any suggestions? Or should I DIY it with high temp spray paint. MATT black of course. Was deciding between 250 and 150. Most would probably go for the 250, but since I mainly use it in city, just didn't justify the extra cost.

Remembered reading a post that said something similar regarding the usage. Maybe I'll get something bigger, when the 2013 model comes out. (BTW the 150 is a 2nd hand so I'm not that crazy...yet).

Don't have be be high temp color , but if you can , it's better.

cover won't recieve much heat from exhuast . except two areas , at both ends

one near exhaust hole . one at the very fist head of the cover ( it's close to pipe and quite hot)

I have a kevlar and epoxy on them . on the epoxy turn slightly yellow at that two areas.

but that just very little area and hard to be seen. so I think It should be fine to go for normal color as the high temp would cost more.

  7. hello guys

    more update on Uppalux's project.

    wind screen

    img0291an.jpg

    img0281asl.jpg

    img0282aa.jpg

    img0283am.jpg

    and the overall design

that Xenon cover look ugly, I will try to change it

wind screen and pillion seat will be quite the same in shape and contour . for congruent . and I will install a lighting system in it , brake light and turn indicator

It will be the whole seat, not just a pieace of fiber to patch on , with the real factory seat base. (this kick the price up sky high)

    higher tank cover

    lower lower cowling

    front fender

    Please comment

  8. Try googling AEK stickers. I'm using a tablet right now and on strong meds so you guys are on your own. Uppalux might know the place or he can get the directions from their website since it's in Thai. They have reflective and luminuous stickers, even those pseudo-carbon sheets from 3M. I've seen some stuff they've done on tuner cars here in Chiang Mai.

yes Aek sticker , very famous for four wheeler In CM-Club .

they have 3 - 4 four branch on several name , but all the same

original shop is is Rincome market.

alternative branch is BANANA story near Lotus Kamthieng

but , say , yes , they may be a pro in this way but little bit expensive too,

If I were to do , I would get them printed and cut at Lanna.

and go to Aek to apply it on (Lanna will just print , cut but not install it for you).

  9. I'll take a ride by there tomorrow for more detailed directions. I have to get some stickers made also.

The place on the right is a sign shop that can cut stickers, but are brain dead.

A better place to get custom stickers made would be across from Chang Puak soi 5, the soi next to the bank. If you go inside the soi, on your left side there will be a place with people much more interested in getting things done. There is a small motorcycle shop on chang puak where the soi is, they have rim stickers there too, but their labelled X-speed and rather ugly. 350 baht-450 baht.

If you bring in an image file they can cut the stickers you need.Including gold and silver, i'll be getting reflective red myself (3M). If you get rim stickers made, split the circle into 2 or 4 pieces instead of a complete circle, it will save on material cost a great deal ! Or you can use strips as long as its not to wide, otherwise you may have problems attaching it in a circular shape.

150 baht per foot, 53" wide....labor not yet figured in.

    That's Expensive !

the shop I refer to has a precutted to various width 1/2 1 1.5 inch and for around 40 - 50 B per meter!

they have various other decal and sticker too, worth a look

and a shop that you get them cut , I used to buy from them like .... 53. per meter , I hope it's a diffrent grade of sticker.

I recommend Lanna printing , right on that intersection of Lotus Kamthieng.

they will print a high grade vynyl sticker up to your design with unbelieveable price.

I was thinking of having a vynyl wrap on whole bike. asked many shop , all qoute around 10000 and just a plain color.

At Lanna , 100 Meter from my house , they said just only 6000 B and it will be printed to color or any design you desire .

even a complicate and high resolution one.

  10. Look up ' JJ Market, Chiang Mai' on google maps.

Its closer to route 11 than the moat.

If your travelling east on the north side of the moat, make a left when the moat goes right.

    Atsadonthan road, straight down.

Oh , this just around my house , how come I didn't know them.

can you give some exact location?

left from the moat , straigth down pass two intersection , Lotus Kamthieng should be on my right

and enter to the soi of pubs , right

    and then ...

  11. CM far eastern chemical on Mahidol road have almost anything for fiberglass works resin epoxy mat chop weave silicone gelcoat and so on

you can find body filler around San pa koi market easily also everything about painting.

aluminium mesh , well , that's up to how you want it , if you want some small and frequent pattern like some car have infront of their radiator or intercooler , that's hard. and look like there's none near CM , I have to go to Lamphun to get mine , still got a big roll left , Interested?

rubbing compound , I think every construction store have it , but I recommend Nana screw , large variety of tools.

  12. Anyone know where i can buy yellow or silver rim tape in CM (obviously not from Honda)?

I'd like to know that myself. There's one shop I know that MIGHT have it. I'll check and find out. If so, let you know.

    about sticker

there's one shop (and I think only in chiang mai)

it's the auto sticker shop on outer side of the moat

way from Huarin corner (chumpae makata) to Katam corner.

on the way you'll passed Duang kamol book shop and some school

pull after that school , they have a lot of sticker hanging from the ceilings

  13. Was thinking of changing the front fender and rear side panels to red. It turns out it doesn't look good. Thanks to Photoshop, I didn't have to get the parts to see how it looked.

    post-118861-0-77914300-1315536649_thumb.

    black and red eh .

here's my friend bike he gone all the way for his bike

  14. Hi uppalux, nice work! The HIDs look great. A bit hard to tell with the front indicators, would be good with a photo or 2 further away from the bike, but i like the idea; i remember on a CBR250 forum that some guys were thinking of doing a similar thing.

Looking forward to see the rest of the mods; the rain seems to be getting stronger though!

dam_n the rain , this should be the entering winter by now .

then this whole project should be finished already .

the projectors look ok.. the indicators look fugly.. they are to big. can you do some better pictures..

I will try to use my brother DSLR next time

Good on you for getting proactive, Uppalux. Personally I'd like to see a new, sportier rear section, from the seat back. with not half as much plastic. Even a new small plastic section that those small rear farings could attach to, as opposed to the big chunky piece they attach to on the stock model. :)

yes there's many complains about a rear section too.

but sorry sir , I just don't understand what pieces exactly are you meaning. (bless my language skill )

did you mean an Undertail like those customs ninja (I personally prefer this)

    Or plastic seat cover

or entirely rear section like these 250 in the track

Also UPPA..what was the cost of the projectors are they water proof. where did you buy?

    it's about 5000 B

I buy a car projector fox lamp and HID xenon kit separately .

and do some mod on projectors and housing , do some wiring

But if I were to sell it , it would be a semi complete kit , I'll get all the wire and fuse done , no need to cur or drill the fairing for brainless installation , magnet attatched (some thai wanz boy needs it ).

    water proof ? yes ,

A retailer told me it's waterproof at some degree but not DROWN proof . I doubt that

. so while I was washing , I tried shooting a water directy to them several times . at different angle.

as far as I see , it survived , without any humid left inside the projector , include their regulator boxs and wires .

I will try to get their night performance picture compare to stock next time . for comparison

  15. I exchanged a ride with some friend around the house.

his was all stock and just 4000 km

    results

exhuast sound . I thought it was just a little different . no , It's a totally different tone.

he said mine is better , and he gonna do the same.

    engine

looks like I loosing some power at low end (3000- 5000 rpm)

    can feel the different

    but . thing is

I mark the reference point on the throttle

mine : feeling less power but use a Less thorttle at same speed .

his : have to open more throttle to in order to make same speed

If I open my thorttle as much as his , mine will jump , especially when on the highway after 7000 rpm , I was like . .. . . leaving him behind

without further more need to twist the thorttle (my wrist fixed) the rev just still went up by it self to around 8500 and yes, all this need less thorttle than my friend's

  16. hello CBR riders.

I'm on the way of making fiberglass part and some decorative for a new cbr for commercial and want your comments on my prototype.

here's some finished (just a prototype , a production will be a little bit different after fixing)

first are HID projectors install externally. as I don't want to touch the stock reflector.

impressive performance , vision , brightness , color , durability (passed two flood and uncountable rain)

two things that keep nudge me are battery consumption and position.

but let's not worry about the battery issue , it can't be avoided , on the position I think they are just look weird . like a foreign object , not congruent with the bike.

I was thinking about make some fiberglass part to make like a mask for them below the light housing , some guys say " make them look like R1" . yeah , I would try

    what do you think?

next thing are the front turn signal.

I adapt it from front of Nouvo Elengance . I think it look sooooo cool . but my brother said this is ugly sh-t .

well , as far as I'm showed them to thai CBR guys they say they are just stunning.

now whose eyes are blind. me or my brother (my brother is more into something four-wheeled , so he may not understanding biker style :()

only problem found is that they have a lower resistant bulb and make the them blink faster.

I have to install a variable relay to slow them down , but still not at 60 -80 blink per min, it still like a 120 / min . I need to figure this out somehow , any suggestion?

    img0277al.jpg

    img0279ab.jpg

    img0280ai.jpg

    img0278ai.jpg

    img0270au.jpg

    img0273aar.jpg

last thing on this week is a rear tire hugger , put it over the swingarm and it will just stay there with out any screw or bolt needed . permanent magnet .

DO NOT LOOK at its surface , I know it's hideous , I waiting for a gel coat to dry for 4 days but the rain just keep pouring down and I drop it on the floor one time when I was cleaning the work spaces :(

let just look on it shape

I want to make a rear section look bigger.

and look at my rear shock absorber . that stock fender just not help and it get spalshed easily , if this goes on , the shock's life would be shorten.

this design should protect the shock absorber completely and give rear part a nice big and sturdy look .

I design it to be able to use with up to 150 tire and .

other parts are coming this month

wind shield (higher , like fireblade's)

front fender ( yeah , I copy half of it from fireblade , too)

petrol tank cover ,. this will make the tank Entirely different shape and look for better grip and comfortable to "laying" on

    pavillion seat cover

lower cowling . lower them more 8 cm . made them sportier and bigger , fuller from front to rear . like an R6 but the tip will be slightly blunt , not as sharp as r6

    aprreciate any comments

and apologize for any language errors , I try my best and will be better next time.

  17. So you already tried PURE 95? The one on the way to Pai?

Id bolt everything to the left engine crankcase cover, thats where the stator for the alternator is, and run another ground from the valve cover to the coil mounting bolts. There's a hose inlet on the cylinder head that has a bolt which may be a better spot. You want to ground the head because that's where the sparkplug is, and the sparkplug seat is currently how its grounded, which is already good, but has a long way to travel back to stator ground.

What ive done in the past is both a circle loop and a star configuration (criss cross all places), and have had good results. This time it's your turn to go first ! :jap:

Dont forget to remove the paint from your new ground points. A drill with an abrasive stone tip will be easiest.

How did the removing the catalyst help the power, did you lose power anywhere...down low maybe?

Okay , then I would go for star configuration. and would mess crossing everyplaces - I have 3 meters of wire :D -

catalyst removing was good all around , really.

on low end , it come easier , lighter thorttle , sounds change to deeper lower hum and a little bit (little bit) louder

on middle to high end , throttle is also lighter , but it make some kind of jumping at 6500 - 7000 range . definitely jumping

after 2 days of removing . I start the engine up in the morning and was setting out for CMU . on the 7000 rpm of 2nd gear he just Pull me hard enough to panic me . but some weeks past , that jump has subtle down a bit.

I'm not losing any range . even the low range feels better , top speed gain for 2 - 3 kmph.

and I have just notice that you're in CNX , may be we have crossed somewhere , mine is all black Fi with a strange headlight and fornt turn signal .

may be messing around sometimes would be good , just want to see your bike.

  18. Ok , it's the ECU remapping.

I met this once , after I done removing catalytic out from my exhuast.

it take two or three day for it to take a real effect.

I think understand about the octane .

Higher octane doesn't make a bike produce more power

but the bike that have more power needs higher octane

sole purpose is 10+ baht less (that would make me 250 full tank instead of 350 of e20)

and if the guys would be able to make it run better , I take that as the addition.

fuel effect I have met was

I was be able to do top speed of 136 kmh on e20

but archive 145 on 95 pure , and it feel way more kick.

    ground wire

I was choosing some wire and plugs in electronic shop

then some guy walk in , overhearding his conversation with shopowner know that he is a car tuner and making a volt stabilizer box and ground wire system commercially. so I just ask him.

he recommend what it seems to be a "battery size wire" 5 mil copper core and 1 mi thick insulator. total is 7 mil.

but as I was leaving the shop he said to me that the ground wire in a new bike won't be noticeable as the body ground system is still sufficient (he surely not know about my 2 xenon lamp eh) and in order to get the best for your system , a volt stabilizer should be install

well , sounds like a advertising , but I believe him and I think I should find a volt stabilizer install later.

but for now my ground would be like this

from - of battery to some bolt on engine crankcase left

from - of battery to some bolt on engine crankcase right

from some bolt on engine crankcase left to regulator

from some bolt on engine crankcase left to radiator fan

from some bolt on engine crankcase right to ignition coil

I would appreciate your advise on this as I have nearly zero knowledge about electronics (my brother grad in elec engineer though :()

should I connect the ground wire system to a circle loop , or leave it have each their own way, of criss crossing all place?

  19. mine is FI version .

after 2 3 days . my effect froms spark plug wire changed.

Idle back to 1700 and effects apply to higher rev . noticeably lighter throttle especially after 7000 (I'm both impressed and don't understand)

I'm just asking ECU shop to make me custom one to use with E85. I always wanted to try it since it has 105 octane and still 10 baht less than e20.

It would take them some months to make it. but the guy at the shop also has 150FI so I don't need to leave the bike there.

after installation of CDI I would surely go for ground wire. (I already have the things all set cut clamped but just don't install it just yet)
