No good, chief, just telling them.
Catch some of them taking bribes, punish them and then what you say will be heard by the others.
Unfortunately, bribery and corruption has been flourishing for many years in the RTP.
Fortunately, the new government is here to change things, and they will.
Give them time.......
Do you ever wake up from these dreams?? You will discover nightmares!!!!

Many of you seem to want to degrade and put down the USA, but just think about this...if Thailand were to take diplomatic action (I will leave that open) against the USA, and they decided to take all their marbles and go home, recalled all American expats and tourist and put an embargo on all trade with the USA, what would you see happening here. And how many NATO and EU nations would follow in support of the USA.
Draw me a picture of the robust Thailand 6 mo. later...empty hotels and condos, no condo payments on long term purchases, supply line for Big C, Tesco,, etc shut off and MANY imported goods no longer available...let alone parts for many of the factories in Thailand.
Go ahead, send them away...see what you get!!!

It's akin to the Internal Revenue Service calling taxpayers to recommend they should have used certain exemptions or deductions
This is exactly what the IRS does on it's help lines...if you can ever get through to them!! lol

I responded to thousands of medical aids as a firefighter/fire chief/paramedic supervisor, and I new saw anyone with more than minor head injuries from a fall in a dwelling. However, I did see a lot of major head trauma that those around the person wanted to blame on a fall!!!

I think Thailand could reduce the death rate dramatically with some changes in regulations. If seat belts, child seats, and restraints of ALL passengers, even those in the back of the vehicle, were required it would be a good start. Require headlights to be used at all times, not just at night, would prevent many of the head-on crashes, and just simple enforcement of the traffic laws without pocketing the money they "collect" from drivers!!

I am not buying this story. If the engines iced up and both stopped, the flight crew would have had plenty of time while gliding the plane to put out a distress call and set up for a glide to a landing on the water that shouldn't have caused a major break-up of the plane. The Captain was a very experienced pilot and would have had time to go through checklist, and not just disappear from radar!!! No, sounds like the plane broke up in the air...as if maybe a wing or tail was ripped off my up/down drafts in a thunderstorm cell. Time will tell, and a lot more will be known if the "black boxes" which are orange, are found and analyzed by the right people (not those that already are trying for a political agenda...too bad that the NTSB will not do the analysis!).

First...I am a private pilot and a retired Fire Chief!! The airplane is down in the ocean. So you do a search. The aircraft that the USA has used for decades to patrol the west coast of America for foreign submarines can spot a periscope at considerable distance on their radar (the actual distance is classified). Small military aircraft crash in the ocean several times a year, but they seem to find all of them, and quickly. Why aren't they finding pieces of the aircraft??? If it came apart in the air or did an uncontrolled crash in the ocean then their should be pieces, and with the right equipment they should have found these pieces!!!
When they reported the first night that darkness had taken place and the search was called off for the night, I knew we might never know again what happened to another airliner. They sure aren't using the right equipment and taking it seriously enough to search 24 hours a day!!!!
Wouldn't want to ask for help....someone might play in your sandbox!!!

The fees were BofA, as usual. Try USBank...some of their cards have NO international fees, you just pay the 150 baht to the Thai bank of your choice.

Can someone explain USA law?
If there was evidence, wouldn't he be charged with a criminal offense and then if guilty then they could sue, <deleted> are they doing just sewing when there has been no offense as far as the police are concerned anyway?
Most sex offense laws are State Laws in the USA. Therefore it would depend on the state. Nearly all have some statue of limitations, and limit how long after the crime a person can be charged and processed. This may well be a case where the statue of limitations has been reached, but yet allows a civil action to take place.

There are aborted take offs and go arounds on rejected landings every day all over the world. It should not even be a news story, let alone worrying about refunds, etc. Get over it...Put up news that is news!!

It seems really strange that someone who knew he had Ebola would be infected with all the protection, and yet the IDIOT that treated and released the Ebola case without testing is OK??? Like was mentioned above...this hospital will go out of business with bankruptcy with all the screw ups they have made!!!

Anecdotally, I heard that the rainfall in Bangkok is only half what it normally is at this time of year. Are there any websites with data to confirm or disprove that?
The Thai Met Office website does give comparisons but not sure if it will cover what you want.
Don't be too sure!! All that rain is headed to the oceans, and what doesn't go down the Mekong, is headed to Bangkok.

Sadly now common in Thailand, Korea, Japan, Taiwan. Do it in the US these days and the university would be sued out of existence.
"Do it in the US these days and the university would be sued out of existence."
Exactly.
There are many deaths from hazing in the US. Fraternities and Sororities have hazing rituals that make this Thai hazing sound like kids play. Chico State University (in Chico, CA..150 miles NE of San Francisco) has had several alcohol poisoning deaths over the last few years from hazing incidents. You can't say this isn't happening in the US!!!

There have been an interesting number of fires in the last week or so all over the country...BKK, Chaing Mai, Udon, Rayong,..makes an ex firefighter wonder?????

Anyway you have to be a couple of real pricks to get booted out of Lucifer. They kind of need what ever business they can get these days, and are quite tolerant of most of the idiots who go there.
The Israelis were most likely drunk & started shooting their mouths off, and deserved what they got.
Go ahead. Start the anti Zionist bashing now!!!
I agree with you!! If you had to deal with the Israelis daily running their huge bikes up and down the soi's 24 hoiurs a day and brushing back the people walking, you might want to join the fight. Never see them in immigration reporting for 90 days in conuntry??? Do they get a pass??

So let me get this striaght...The US should provide aid to Thailand, massive military support, disaster relief, and much more....but should shut up and go away while Thailand destroys it's democracy???

I don't understand why you would even post this considering the source. This is like Fox News quoting a blogger's comments as fact. Wht would you expect Russia to say??
800 troops is two plane loads...certainly not much of an invasioin!!!!!

The water is back on in North Ubon. It seems to be flowing in at a normal pace, so hope all is well. I have the tank, but also have a yard, pets, etc., all of which take water. I haven't been checking everyday to see if the city water is flowing, but guess I will have to start. Be nice if there was some notice when the water shuts off!

I wonder if any of the powers to be have considered the effect of a small fire with no water in the water mains...and no water available to fight the fire. This is really stupidity....almost as bad as the US Congress. They better find a couple of half sober people to fix this problem!!!

Early morning Saturday and NO WATER. Checked meter, and zero water flowed overnight. This is starting to be serious...can't flush toilets, can't cook much, and no shower water. I think it is time for the local agency to get off the dime and fix whatever is wrong. I'm sure if it was the mayor's home without water that there would be serious action to provide water service!!
-
The water from the city water system has stopped flowing, and now out tank is empty. Anyone know what the problem is and perhaps when it will resume service. Any info appreciated!!

If Air Asia moves to DM, then it will really screw over all of us living out in the rural areas, as there will be no way to make an international connections with out some kind of transportation between the two airports...And there is NO GOOD WAY TO TRAVEL FROM ONE AIRPORT TO THE OTHER...SUCKS!!!
