  1. Please Please buy a tall centre forward that is strong and can contend , This togo man spends most of his time on the floor or trying to be a running winger, stay in the middle and man up at a contest . Lennon and bale have no one to cross too, Defoe would score plenty with a strong middle man.

  2. This list could go on for ever

Here's some of the loser's I've meet with over the years

Mr xxxxxxxxxx picking up one of his(underage) students in uniform from the middle of the school and taking her home and returning her back to school the next day , Unlucky for him his house is surrounded with parents of students from his school who saw him with this girl , He claimed he was helping her with english all night.

Mr xxxxxxxx was a no show from school for 3 days, The manager from school went to his house to find him in his room with about 20 empty whiskey bottles on the floor , he was in his soiled underpants with a badly broken hand passed out on the floor.

To many Mr xxxxxxxxxx to mention with a slight problem of how young is too young when it comes to their choice of female company , There is a time and place boys !!! and it isn't in your own backyard.

  4. Formalities..... Mmmmmmmmmmmm

We are not in a big town... Small place about 45km out of Surat.

My wife teaches every evening for 1 1/2 hrs except Fri.

2 sessions for adults on Tues and Fri daytime (again 1 1/2 hr sessions)

Then she does 4 sessions on both Sat and Sun.

So all up about 21 hrs a week.

It seems to be going well and everyday we are getting more enquiries.

Think most of the parents would send their children to Surat and pay a lot more for the privilege if we hadn't started this little venture !

Don't make enemies there. It might look alright, but some greedy guys might not like that you're taking their customers away. Even if it's not true.

Best luck for you! Greetings from lower north-east. wai2.gif

Best of luck mate i've been doing the same thing for awhile now and enjoy it also. Good advice about the greedy guys i upset some by doing my own thing (always a fellow ex pat too) keep it low key is my advice

  5. We recently discussed some of these issues at a seminar. many agreed that it would be better to put masses of native speakers into government schools to teach conversation classes and relax licensing requirements for them - they are teaching only conversation after all, but there could be a TEFL requirement for such positions. Accordingly, the salaries would be lower than English Program teachers - for those that qualify for the teaching licence. 20K is still way too low for any degree holding teacher. Despite having a huge budge, the MoE still shows they are not so serious about allocating funds for english language training. It's still really only students from English Programs and International Schools that speak a reasonable amount of english.

Sounds like a common sense idea to me , This seminar did it have any Thai teachers or government officials involved, that might have a say in this countries education

  6. I know we have some key injuries but some players are just not putting in or just not good enough (in my opinion) . Three at the back looked good for awhile but gallas looks like a old man and you need your wing backs to cover and lennon cant defend or wont defend, Huddlestone runs in circles and looks lost and i know defoe can score a goal but looks like a small child being bullied when he is alone up front, I hope next week goes better and some players are fit

  7. Is it just me But i look at the Teachers Council website to check my degree online

It says to look for the " professional Licence section" then look for "Foreign Teacher's Qualification check"

Maybe i'm blind but i can't find this in the english version online

Has anyone done this and can help me?????

    Unfortunately, it's only in Thai.

Third radio button. Type in the name of the university in the second box. If your university doesn't pop up, try copying the Thai text below in the first box.

    UK: สหราชอาณาจักร

    USA: สหรัฐอเมริกา

    AUS: ออสเตรเลีย

You'll get lists of the universities in the country.

If your university is still not there, then I'm afraid that the university isn't accredited by the Civil Service Commission of Thailand.

    Cheers mate very helpful

  9. Anybody have any idea where I can watch the state of origin game two in nakhon sawan city?

I've watched a few games of rugby at 4.30pm at F F bar (i think thats its name) on the same road as Fairyland heading towards the park area. The owner is a good bloke he is always there about that time.Hope this helps

  10. "Meanwhile, Education Minister Suchart Tadathamrongvej is encouraging schools to seek eligible English-speaking foreigners to teach English, with the ministry giving them Bt10,000 per month to hire each teacher."

My school would be happy with 10 000 baht extra every month to help pay for me.

"Suchart added that he would help ease the regulations concerning the need for licences for foreign teachers."

Go for Suchart you have my vote!!!!!!!!

  11. For the third year running not only do i sign in everyday of March I'm the only one here! The Thai teachers (and Director) will disappear again and return on the last day to collect their salary. My solution is to teach private students in the school in the morning and do my next years lesson plans and take their money.

  12. No, in so far as I am aware , it is a bus from(or to)Loei to Morchit 2, then another bus from Morchit 2 to N.S., there may be a bus or buses from L. to Petch abun ,but they most likely will be very slow 3rd class , then slow 3rd class bus or Song Tao to N.S. Your best bet is from L. to M2 ,then to N.S.

    Thanks for the advice

  13. As i thought 80% b/s 20 % fact thanks for the response

Some comments bring up interesting points

I was hoping to hear about the culture do's and don'ts that some people have experienced

But the of topic stuff i was expecting and enjoyed

  14. Has she introduced you to the family yet?

Sister yes Father no I know that's the test

I have traveled and hiked with the sister and her boyfriend

Held hands? Tried to kiss her yet? (jeez I feel like am 15 again, lol).

To be blunt i haven't shagged her yet (now i feel like i'm 15 )

I've asked to meet the parents but she and i are in no hurry for that fun

I've brought small gifts for her family but she said not to worry about doing that

Everything so far points towards a keeper

She wants to work so she has money to travel, she doesn't want my money , Her buffalo so far hasn't got sick

Her father has been sick nearly one year But still no asking me for money

  15. I'm sure this topic will bring out some wonderful comments from the usual suspects that are on this forum

But There is a question that i would like answered.

I've been dating a Thai girl who works in an office in Bangkok (I'm from Central Thailand)

We have gone out for many dinners and walks around markets so far this year and she always comes alone (which is nice)

This girl likes to travel and climb mountains in her spare time and we have gone to many great places together

No romance has happened yet but we are fond of each other,we have talked about future plans together and she is quiet open.

I've been working in Thailand (teaching) for 5 years and i've seen first hand the horror story's from many of my friends

Money has never been one of our conversations,

Now the question - Has anyone else been in this situation and can you offer me some advice on the next few steps

I'm expecting 80% response from the bar crew,bj, bar fine crowd I'm really looking for the 20% that might of been in the same situation

    Thanks in advance

  16. The support will only come through your self-determination... Remember your calls for action will go unheard..BEST to get out, because nothing will happen to the 14 years boy children. Time to walk away.. A lesson learned...There are other schools out there waiting..find a better choice

    Good luck

I agree move on I've had problems of a different nature with 14/15 year old boys wanting to fight me

I just got moved out because they like to do things in packs and are never wrong in the eyes of their parents and teachers

    Good luck
