USA says wait one month between and can do AZ and Pfizer second. If you tell you had Sinovac recently, they will cancel you. I had AZ one month ago and Pfizer yesterday at CF. Sinovac is useless sorry, do some research.
I did some research, and it said that you will get better protection if you wait 12 weeks between doses of AZ.
A study published earlier this year in The Lancet found that a single dose of AstraZeneca is 76 per cent effective in the first 90 days.
Receiving a second dose 12 weeks or more after the first can kick this protection up to around 81 per cent.
But this efficacy dropped to around 55 per cent if the second jab was given less than six weeks after the first, the study found.

That is an excellent idea. Hope that a few million other foreigners living here do the same thing. I've written to Ms. Duckworth, and suggest that everyone on this forum do the same thing Thanks to Haoleboy for the suggestion: https://www.duckworth.senate.gov/connect/

I think most get it, but I have never met and I doubt any Thai women would word a question like that.
I paraphrased what she said, which was "why don't farangs write a petition to the US embassy about not receiving the promised doses of Pfizer?". Can you assist me in answering that question, assuming that it is of greater importance than my wife's grammatical abilities?

Fair dinkum. I paraphrased what she said, which was closer to "why doesn't someone complain to the US reps in Thailand about foreigners not getting any of the vaccines they sent?"....

Last night, just before I completed watching the 322nd sheep jump over the fence, my Thai wife tapped me on the shoulder and asked me a question about this forum.
"If the US government has earmarked a certain percentage of the 1.5 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, why hasn't anyone started a petition to get the benefactors to pressure the recipients to come clean on their commitment to sharing the vaccine with the foreign residents of Thailand?"
I had no answer. Do any of you?

As I have been unable to uncover ANY scientific research regarding the effects of mixing the Sinovac and Astra Zeneca vaccines, I am extremely hesitant to reduce myself to absolute guinea pig levels.
As much as I want to receive a vaccination, I cannot assume that this is a safe combination, and also note Sinovac's poor reputation with regard to fighting off the Delta variant of the Covid virus.
Initially, I thought "any vaccine is better than no vaccine", but now I am not so sure. All things being equal, I think it best to mask up, social distance, wash hands, etc and wait for a vaccine that has been tested to be both safe and effective.

After my grand niece began sleeping with us, I protested, but didn't 'get my way'.
Instead of getting angry, I built a small cottage about five minutes away, and go
there a couple of times a week to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Not the cheapest solution, but definitely an effective one! I've attached a pic taken when we were
nearing completion...

My brother in law has two university graduates living at home with him and his wife - one is a fully qualified & licensed pharmacist, the other has a degree in Commerce and Economics. Both unemployed due to Covid, both playing games until 4am every night, and both getting to live this lifestyle without a peep from their 'pay-rents'. They aren't expected to lift a finger to help with anything at home, a fact that drives me insane, as they often come to our nearby house to check out what's interesting in our fridge or to cook gourmet meals for themselves at late and most fashionable times. My objections seem to fall on deaf ears for reasons too complicated for me to understand.
I own an empty commercial building nearby and asked the unemployed pharmacist if he'd like to use it to set up a small business, - he looked at me like i was crazy. I even tried working out a funding arrangement on his behalf, but still no dice.
If my brother in law and his wife are "normal' Thai parents, situations like this don't augur well for the future of the kIngdom. Rather than training their kids to accept responsibility, they seem to prefer to accept it all themselves. It's clear that they didn't anticipate an outcome like this, but here we are....

In the Netherlands now all schools have selftests for Covid for the teachers and they have to test themselves 2 times a week. Why not possible here in THailand????
After reading all the comments on here, I was appalled to see the obvious selfishness of so many parents with regard to their children's schools. Despite many admissions of ineptitude with regard to educating their own children, they offer no concern for the health of their children's teachers, nor do they applaud the school's decision to offer the best educational alternative to possible exposure to Covid.
Full disclosure: I am currently employed as a teacher at an international school in Thailand, and have 35 years experience working in top rated schools in both Japan and Singapore. No vaccination has been offered to any of us so far, and we're not holding our breath. Until I know that I will not be catching Covid from YOUR CHLDREN, and that I will not be giving the illness to YOUR CHILDREN, keep your opinions positive, for WE ARE DOING OUR VERY BEST DESPITE YOUR <deleted>TY ATTITUDE>

Born in '57, grew up in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. Enjoyed being outdoors, and from a young age I was allowed to spend a lot of time hiking and camping in both the Laurentians and the Gatineau Hills. Our parents weren't wealthy, but we had a summer cottage near Mt. Tremblant and I spent the summer months without any electricity or road access, a reality that I came to appreciate after I began living in hyper urban environments like Tokyo and Singapore.
Like others here, I wouldn't trade those 'analogue' experiences for anything 'digital', and generally feel pity for today's younger generation, for it's getting harder and harder to be "young" in a hyper media environment that encourages people to stare at phones and tablets instead of learning the gentle art of conversation.

The actions of the Burmese military are criminal, immoral and inexcusable. All of those guiding, undertaking and financing these murders of innocent civilians should be charged and judged at the International criminal court in the Hague.
Anything less is a travesty of justice.

Dear supporters of the truth, and nothing but....
The election was a landslide for Joe Biden, as he won by over 5 million votes. In spite of the omnipresent, out of date and repressive reality of the US electoral college, all attempts at overturning results in several US States have failed mightily.
Given the fact that Trump is playing his supporters for fools by sending them at least six emails a day demanding financial support, and also given the fact the Attorney General, Mr. Barr, has publicly said that he saw no issues with any sort of voter fraud, one wonders how anyone on this forum can honestly suggest that they are anything but complete tools for following Trumps lies about voter fraud. Wake up sheeple, for you are getting played by that master conman that you see as a fearless leader. Yeah, that guy in the golf cart who owes hundreds of millions of dollars, that "successful' businessman who has gone bankrupt half a dozen times.

After dropping thousands of dollars on several sets of Siemens and Oticon hearing aids over the past few years, I decided to go decidedly 'down market' and ordered some cheap but effective aids. Not quite as sophisticated as my previous ones, but 70% as good for a tiny fraction of the price. Worth checking out in my opinion.

Back in 1999, my wife and I were shown a nice property beside an inland lake on Koh Samui. The real estate agent was the boyfriend of a lady we had befriended five years earlier. We liked the property, but fortunately decided to call my brother in law prior to signing on the dotted line. When we described the chanote (land deed), he told us not to go near it, as it was fake. We bailed, and headed back to Chiang Rai.
Fast forward about six months. To our astonishment, we read about the same property being sold to five different foreigners...it seems that they learned about the scam when two construction teams almost came to blows at the same location. Despite many attempts to get the money back, further reports suggested that not a satang was returned. A further revelation was that the land was actually owned by the government, and never should have been put up for sale in the first place.
Chastened by the experience, we built up north, and haven't regretted it so far.

I dont think English is his first language, anyway is it that important?
The thinking errors are important, and clear thinking is often matched by clear writing. Without a bit of care in the presentation of your ideas, others may easily misunderstand both your message and intentions. Would you comment on a Thai language bulletin board if you had very limited command of the language? I might try, but would show it to a native speaker before sending it.

First, learn to spell, or at least, get a spell checker like Grammarly.
Second, learn to think clearly. Young adults are far from stupid, for they are incredibly brave and forward thinking. I recommend that you invest in your own education before you cast aspersions on others.

The chance of Trump winning another term is very real
in World News
Posted
LOSER
I WON I WON I WON I WON!
I won I won I won!
I won I won I won I won!
This race is far from done.
.
I WON I WON I WON I WON!
I’ll tweet it like a scream
And if I tweet it very loud
I’ll wake from this bad dream.
.
Sniffle.
.
Remember, folks, not long ago?
My rallies proud and large?
The swarm of fans who risked their lives
So I could stay in charge?
.
They cheered me like a deity
No masks to block their cries
They clapped and roared and loved me
As I superspread my lies.
.
The fake news said I would not win —
They’re always, always wrong —
The only way that I could lose
Was if the count went wrong.
.
And when the early tally came
I really did quite well!
But then the votes for Joe rolled in —
As fraudulent as hell.
.
I bellowed: We must stop the count!
The count’s a giant scam!
I’m still the chosen president
I AM I AM I AM.
.
But still the count kept going
And it did not go my way
In Michigan, Wisconsin
Even down in red G-A.
.
The libs praised Stacey Abrams
And her leftist voter pack
No way I’d be defeated
By some women?! And they’re Black?!!
.
Sniff.
.
To prove that I’m the winner
And the leader of this land
I headed to my golf course
With my putter in my hand.
.
I rode there in my motorcade
Fans cheered me on my path
I wore my all-white MAGA hat
I tried to hide my wrath.
.
And when the networks called it —
When they said Joe Biden’s name —
I felt a chilling, red-hot rage
But kept on with my game.
.
Folks partied in the streets, I heard,
Some broke into a dance
They cheered for Joe in Germany
The church bells rang in France.
.
Libs cried “The emp’r has no clothes!”
Some sang, “The witch is dead!”
But I? I golfed on bravely
And I covered up my dread.
.
They honked their silly, lib’rl horns
But here’s what made me gag —
The sight of all those Democrats
Who waved our country’s flag.
.
Now Rudy and my lawyers
Figure out what we should do
There’s really just one answer —
It’s to sue and sue and sue.
.
Concession is for losers
And for those who don’t mind pain
For victims, wimps and Democrats
And guys like John McCain.
.
Sniff. Don’t get me started on Arizona.
.
Some say I’m throwing tantrums
That I’m just a bratty boy
A kid who’s starved for mommy’s love
So won’t give up his toy.
.
Some say I’m Putin’s puppet
In some giant Russian plot
To undermine democracy
I tell you I AM NOT!
.
But strongmen are my biggest fans —
Like Obrador and Xi —
They won’t acknowledge Biden yet —
Their bets are still on me.
.
We manly men love macho guys
And women love us too!
And what could be more manly
Than a good old-fashioned coup?
.
Chortles.
.
I think back on the past four years
By God it’s been a trip
I tore this land to shreds so fast
Like flimsy paper — rip!
.
I never was a leader
But I surely was The Boss
I turned your fears to hatred
Fed my ego with your loss.
.
And still I seed your minds with fear
I plant the rot of doubt
And if I tweet lies loud enough
I’ll never get kicked out.
.
The GOP still backs my play
They know I hold the ace:
They cross me and I’ll tweet it —
I’ll divorce them from my base.
.
Yet Sleepy Joe and Kamala
Now act like king and queen
They’re even taking credit
For my miracle vaccine!
.
I WON I WON I WON I DID!
You know what else is swell?
Inauguration Day is booked
At my D.C. hotel.
.
And if things go against me
Well, of course, I just might flee
Or maybe I can get a job
As host on “Jeopardy?”
