  1. Very sad, only 27 yrs old. RIP. Two thing come to mind on the investigation. 1) Does the trail of blood start at the room and lead to the pool? 2) this is a 5 star resort so I would think they have security camera's on the pool area and maybe the hallways and can see her falling into the pool? Not an investigation question, would someone bleeding that much in the pool be a need to empty it or just chemicals?

  2. Stuff like this all varies by state, as mentioned. Some states are MUCH more anal than others. I will tell you right now though, without even looking, you will NOT be driving in California with a Thai driver's licence. Just forget it.

Well thats's just WRONG I have in the past flown into LAX ( California) and rented an Avis car with my 5 year Thai drivers license AND an International license obtained from the Land and Transport in Bangkok. I had to use my Thai license because my California license had just expired

Thanks everyone, I am the friend. I will get my International license. Probably will be in Fl, Ny and Ca. Had my license in FL before. Thanks for all the help.

  3. attachicon.giftomato.jpgNeed some Help. The photo is of some plants at the end of Nov. They grew nicely to over the top rung of the cage and had many flowers, but did not bear fruit. The temp got down under 20c and I have bee's in the area. I am thinking of starting new plants now, is it stupid to start in July? Any wisdom would be appreciated.

Hi Soidogs, do you have any other pics or information? what media were they growing in? what were the average day night temperature differentials? how many hours of direct sunlight were they receiving and are the hydroponic or in soil ?

    Cheers

    Scoop

Hi Scoop, They were grown in 3/4 organic soil and 1/4 manure. Not sure exactly of the temps I know at night it was 18-21c they probably got 4-5 hours sun. I'm thinking of starting a new batch .When would you advise starting? I have a good variety of seeds. I live in Hua Hin if the location makes a difference. You did great with yours and made my mouth water.

    Thanks.

  4. Cement pots? New cement pots? Just speculating.

I never had a tomato going over a metre high with flowers and no fruit. Any sort of air flow and they self pollinate.

    Rice555 is the man.

    Regards.

Yes they are cement, it is what is used for sewage openings. They were NEW. Is cement a problem?

  6. After watching the steak show I hope you watched the Dental show from England. It was so sad watching people with no teeth and mouths that look like Gangrene set in. I was waiting for the maggots to crawl out. I cannot understand how grown adults cant brush their teeth and visit a dentist. Maybe it is a biblical thing " An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" rant overwai2.gifbiggrin.png .

  7. Got to be the luckiest guy in the world . . . . if it was an accident.

Or the unluckiest guy in the world, if he was trying to kill himself

Why would you think if he tried to commit suicide and he fail he was unlucky. You make me sick on the attitude on this, If a person is having emotional or Psychiatric problems and He /She kills them self

there is no chance of help

. Successful SUICIDE is final. Your humor is very sad .

So many comment on here trying to be "funny" on behalf of this guy...and you pick THIS comment, to voice your outrage?

If someone wants to commit suicide and made that decission to jump...and wakes up 3 days later, alive but with severe injuries that will make a live he already found unbearable even worse...what is wrong with considering him "unlucky"?

I think, this is almost tragic!

Next time, try one simple thing before posting: thinking!

Speaking of thinking, If you look at the posts prior to mine those were the only ones that showed Non compassion and no understanding of depression. If some one is finding their life is unbearable and wants to end it, most of the educated world says that most likely that person can get help to turn things around.

You say so many people trying to be funny, most adults would realize that there is a time and place for everything. If you are a professional comedian let me know where you are performing so I can see how funny you are. If not think before you post..........

  8. Interesting, but it begs a couple of questions: 1) if Viagra is 10 times more expensive than Sidagra and 'poor' (?) old Pfizer is discounting by 30%, Viagra still retails at 175 Baht a pop, so I am not sure that their claim of competing with fake drugs holds much water; people will still go for the 25 baht version - if it works! 2) Nowhere is it mentioned whether or not one has to buy it on prescription - I think people need to know this.

Just as an afterthought it seems slightly ironic that the 'sex capital of the world' that has been so concerned about AIDS, prostitution, under age sex and paedophilia for so many years and has desperately been trying to bring sex awareness and condoms to the country at large, should now turn its attention to ensuring that maximum sex is possible by the greatest number of people. TIT!

" The Thai diamond-shaped little blue pill, which resembles the original produced by US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, is called "Sidegra" and will be available on prescription across the country on October 1."
  9. Peking duck is served in slices, crispy aromatic duck is shredded (usually at the table) and is a Chinese-British invention. For the latter the duck is usually deep fried, making it much quicker to prepare.

Here in Thailand it's normal to eat just the skin of the Peking duck with pancakes. The meat is then served as a separate dish, often stir fried with preserved vegetables.

I just don't get that you would say Peking Duck is a Chinese British invention. Oh all food was invented by the British.

  10. Smokie how do you know what there customers will pay? Are you the fortune teller on the corner? Again if they cannot afford to eat it then dont eat it. I see may thai's eating Yanni Pizza at much higher prices and Pizza company at much higher price's. Have you opened your eye's yet? Maybe you dont want to pay that, but why should the owner not make money? ermm.gif

I don't want to eat a whole pizza while I'm walking down the street. Frankly I'd pay 100 Baht a slice IF I thought it worth the money.

Yes , I agree that N.Y Pizza by the slice would be great. Priced between 60 -80 baht depending on the size, but 40 baht is not realistic and is not fair to the owner. That is why I made my reply. There was a place on Suk around soi5 but I dont think it is there anymore.

  11. Cannot stand the curmudgeon's moaning. Cheese is very very expensive, if you wanted it to sell cheaper you would need to use less cheese, then we would hear that it is not good because it doesnt have enough cheese. If the Pizza is good and it looks like it is, also being wood fired. Why do you not want people to give it to you without making $$$$$$. Are you that special, The answer is no. If you cannot afford it then dont buy it. If you cannot buy it then keep your opinion to yourself. Like the person who said 40 baht a slice, that would be good for you but not for the owner. I have eaten pizza in many aircon places that were terrible. Food costs have gotten crazy in Thailand in the last year. Maybe the owner can look at his margins and see if he can adjust. But people have to make rude comments without even had a try at the food. Opinions are like A-Holes, everyone has one. w00t.gif

  12. I have only seen kabobs. Its a very small space.

    PP.

Yes, I started a new thread as they locked it as the OP being part of the Biz. I have nothing to do with this biz or friends with the owner as I said met him the first time on my third visit to the shop. So me doing the thread is not self promotion. I don't appreciate you calling me a liar or a cheat, but you keep making assumptions so I know what are.

  13. I love how all the great posters assume I'm a friend of the owner. You know when you assume you make an ASS/U/ME. I have nothing to do with this establishment and if you look at the other topic I was the second person to post. I am customer, had never met the owner till my 3rd time there. Till you have had a retail establishment in Thailand dont assume you know Jack about it. I gave a fair review of this place and as a chef I take into consideration what you are getting for the baht and it was more then fair. Some of the ex-pats here think they should get Filet Mignon for the price of hamburger.

    Soi41- Check your knowledge.

Kebab (or kabab, kabob) is a wide variety of meat dishes originating in Turkey and later on adopted in the Middle East, Turkey, South Asia and Asia Minor

  14. Was pleasantly surprised to find a Shawarma shop in the non tabled food court outside Tesco

Not a bad Shawarma. The sauce 's are good the filling is good. They only have chicken which can be a little dry. I spoke with the owner about lamb but it is just to expensive. I would eat there more often if it wasn't a pain and time consuming going into Market Village. Good place and when Im there I grab a couple I.Can recommend. Hope they make it as the cost is only 60 baht and is good value and something I like to eat.

I have No ties to this business and so this is not self promotion only letting the readers of Thai visa the knowledge and feedback of a new establishment in Hua Hin

  15. As I said its More a Shwarma. And Chicken cooked like that can turn A LITTLE dry, The more that is sold the less dry it will be. I dont think you want undercooked chicken. People write in then get pounded by the cronic posters. After the don't want to post again. AND PLEASE ENGLAND IS NOT A FOOD LOVERS Travel Destination. So how you do it in England let it stay in England. jap.gif
