It may well be on one of the networks but at a 3am showing here there wont be many if any accessible venues.
The lack of a venue at 3am was my main concern...

Any suggestions as to where would be a good venue to catch this game on Friday? The KO is going to be pretty late in the UK.
Many Thanks.

Man City SHOULD walk this...
Leeds will lose probably 3-1 but it will be a good game, we score lot's and sadly have a few scored against us as well....

The leeds game is the early kick off on Saturday, they should be showing games at 3 Ko times on Saturday? I cannot find the listing, it's the game I want to see.

According to the website it can be used for 5 different countries? I am unsure how it actually works? Wierdly I was with an ex-girlfriend in India maybe 2 or 3 years ago, she was mugged and her bag stolen and se was furished with a new passport in 10 days.
What is an Emergency Travel Document?
Unlike your normal passport, which is valid for 10 years, an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) is valid for a prescribed journey to up to 5 destinations (not just back to the UK), within a specified time, after which it will become invalid. As the name suggests, it is designed to be issued quickly, to enable you to travel at short notice.
The police know but he is not in Bkk so has to travel from darkest Issan to get to the embassy.

Has anyone used one of these from the Bristish embassy in Bangkok. Basically a friend of mine has had their passport stolen, their visa runs out next week and they have to do a visa run. But of course they don't have a passport OR proof of visa but they have a copy of the passport? They are off to the Embassy tonight/tomorrow or Monday due to the holidays this week.
Basically;
1) Can you do a visa run on a ETD in order to extend ones stay in Thailand?
2) I know they are valid for 5 Countries but for what length of time are they valid? I know it stated emergency travel but a visa run is an emergency as you have to leave the Country.
3) They want to continue their trip without having to wait for 6 weeks in Thailand for a new passport (probably more over the xmas period) is this possible?
Many Thanks,

Ok, well here is the deal. My term ends tomorrow. All I have heard from my boss is I will have a new contract however numerous reliable sources at School have asked me why I am leaving so basically I am pretty confident that contract is never going to appear. So what do I do? My work permit runs until December as well.
So is it the day they decide or my last day or the day I am informed that I have to leave/get an extension. I am 2 hours from immigration, 3 from a border. Basically I am being employed by MediaKids, they said its all agreed and the contract for next term will be with me next week. If it isn't and I am sat here waiting am I liable? My feeling is my boss is a coward and she is avoiding the issue. I also doubt they will contact immigration straight away, this is not Bangkok. If I leave the Country this weekend will immigration demand a letter from my School (this is the Nong Khai border crossing). Its a bit of a fuc_ker to be honest.
Any thoughts?
I take it staying hoping they don't cancel the visa is a bad idea? Thought so.

Ok, my one term contract with my School is coming to an end, in fact I should have finished 2 weeks ago but we extended to help the School out of a situation. I am pretty sure its not being extended after this term for next term however my visa is stamped until the 15th December. My 90 days reporting says the 13th December. Do I really have to leave a week after my contract finishes? Any advice appreciated.

Hey,
I have just moved to Sawang Daen Ding and want to rent a bike, just something to get around town. Does anyone know any places in the town where I can get one from or is it a case of going to Udon or Sakon instead to pick one up?
The town seems ok, if a touch quiet. I noticed in an older post that it once had a western ish bar but thats now closed?? Is this still the case?
Thanks in advance, any info appreciated.

Where To Teach English?
in Teaching in Thailand Forum

Khon Kaen has far more opportunites than Udon as its the academic centre for the NE. Many schools and universities, March/April and Oct would be better times to fine work. In Khon Kaen it seems almost impossible to get the sack during the term judging by the drunken public behaviour of some teachers here at errghhh "good schools" who are old enough to know better.
