  1. There has been a staggering amount of deaths and casualty.
Staggering? If the army did not exercise so much restraint, I think there would be hundreds more deaths by now. They are still firing only single shots aren't they, and not automatic?

The protesters should simply go home, as they have way overstayed their welcome (if you could call it "welcome").

I would like to know out of the 279 injured how many of those were shot by the army I bet its 80% of them

It would also be interesting to know what those 279 were doing at the time they were injured.

Some of them are ambulance staff, helping the unfortunates. Until they turn unfortunate themselves. A couple even died, and this is a fact.

  2. Two guys go into a mini-mart. One has a gun, and kills the cashier. Per U.S. law, both robbers are charged with murder in the first degree.

Participating in a criminal act along with others who are armed is legally equal to being armed. The responsibility for injuries and death inflicted are shared equally by all who participate.

were either or both of the two guys in the mini-mart elected governments of sovereign nations with remits to protect their people and their people's interests in line with UN and international laws?

if not your analogy is a bit shit really isn't it?

Yes, agree with you that some RED shirt need to be executed death penalty by law. BUT not before a fair hearing is conducted.

It this too much to ask? A fair trial?

  3. The army are violating human rights.... what about the Reds who are violating the rights of the public who wish to earn a living in the areas they have shut down for 2 months or the public who wish to visit these areas, less the tourists who wish to stay in hotels free from the worry of being shot. Put simply, if the Reds were not there, would this be going on? How come AI have not mentioned this?

I agree the Reds have the right to protest, but they do not have the right to disrupt other peoples' lives, do they Perhaps if reported the full story, organisations such as AI may be in a better to pass judgement?

Sure. But they do not deserves to die for their crime, do they? Or do you think otherwise?

  4. Let's see what the body count is today. Anyone? How many woman and children have been cut down by ruthless Army murderers as they tried to make their way to safety. None!? Oh, dear. <snip>

Does anybody in the world (other than this nut) believe this?

Excuse me while I have my day's puke - courtesy NaiGreg. :)

    :D

Women and children have been shot. Some were even killed. This is a FACT. No not discount this.

  5. The Government should move all Jounalist's and anyone else that will go out of the rally site now , They will be at risk of being used as human shields when the red leader try and escape no one will be safe as they know the end is coming.

    I don't think crackdown is coming anytime soon when you see the below statements from Amnesty, specially with so many International organisation keeping a close eye on the situation ;

AFP: Amnesty International on Tuesday accused Thailand's army of "reckless use of lethal force"

AFP: Thai troops violate law in Bangkok action according to Amnesty

AFP: The London-based rights group said Thai troops were violating the law by firing live ammunition in several areas around Bangkok

AFP: "Eyewitness accounts and video recordings show clearly that the military is firing live rounds..(1/2)

AFP: ..at unarmed people who pose no threat to the soldiers or to others" said Amnesty's Thailand specialist Benjamin Zawacki (2/2)

AFP: "This is a gross violation of a key human right -- the right to life," he said in a statement.

Oh boy now we have a credible source. In the last nine months Amnesty international's credibility has assumed the same level as PETA and Greenpeace.

What is wrong with PETA and Greenpeace? May I ask?

  6. TAN: It has been confirmed that Sae Deang died of kidney failure at 9:20 A.M.; doctors were unsuccessful in attempts to revive him

I thought he died from a sniper bullet that goes through his brain. maybe I have been mis-informed. Maybe He should have reduce salt intake and take care of his kidney when he was still alive.

  7. The good news this morning, the killer, Sae Deng has died

maybe the red will declare 100 days of mourning and go back to Isaan to do it

"Please try and control yourselves and not make remarks in bad taste about other people dying. You are much better to say nothing at all than something spiteful. Irregardless of which side of the fence you sit on, please don't be disrespectful to the dead, its not funny, its not smart, it just shows you're lack of intellect." TV poster.

    I fully agree.

  8. NATION - "Three RPG rockets were fired at the Dusit Thani Hotel late Sunday night, prompting evacuation of tourists and reporters staying inside."

No doubt fired by an innocent, peaceful, unarmed, civilian protester who doesn't deserve to be shot by the army.

Note that not a single demonstrator who has stayed within the restricted demonstration area has been injured.

Note that not a single demonstrator who has stayed within the restricted demonstration area has been injured?

    Please provide your proof.

Many demonstrator who has stayed within the restricted demonstration area has been DEAD or injured. Proof: Watch min 1:10 of this clip. This is inside the barricade, just in front of Chula Hospital, about 10 m from where Sae Daeng was shot DEAD

  9. "We want the UN because we don't trust we will receive justice from organizations in Thailand," protest leader Nattawut Saikuar /AFP

don't worry you won't get the justice you deserve

you will never face charges of treason or the firing squad ...........

This comment will go down as the biggest Joke in Thai Hostory

Thai want help from Farang as they trust Farang more than Thai

If I want time to myself I tell my Thai wife this, I then hear Thai words no Farang ever hear before

and she go to her room with 4 channel 3 Thai love Dvds

I not see her again for hours

That is why many Thai rather watch CNN, BCC, AZJ etc rather than NBT.

  10. I think it is no longer the fight of the RED protesters. It is a fight of the Thai poor. Bon Kai is the second poorest district in downtown Bangkok. About half of the residence born up there, and half rent rooms/bed there, while working in Bangkok. Bon Kai is just 100 m from Klong Toei slump, which is the largest slump in Bangkok.
