  1. Also, being a Man City fan. Wembley in the Play Off's against Gillingham. We was 2-0 down with 5 minutes to go. We equalised and won on Penalties. Had it gone the other way, that would have been a long drive back to Manchester  :o

That I think was the only match in English history that was fixed. There was no way they could let the Gills go up a division. Their ground was not big enough. I think the ref allowed 6 or 7 mins of injury time till Man City did score. A few comments from players and pundits after that suggested that was what happened anyway.

I'm a stickler for tradition though. For me. England winning the World Cup in 1966. Another sporting moment for me was seeing Colin Cowdray walking out to face Wes Hall and Charlie Grif with a broken arm.

What would have happened had city not scored? How long do you think he would have allowed?

I've never heard anyone say it was fixed before, well apart from a few Gillingham players and some pudit on Radio Gillingham.

  2. The best form of evidence is, as you've already said, letters. It doesn't necessarily have to be utility bills, but any form of communication addressed to your wife at the matrimonial address. Ideally, it should span the whole 2 years, too. Perhaps also chuck in a few photos and greetings cards as well as your passport.

I recall a few years ago I was asked to undertake a home visit in order to establish whether an ILR applicant and her husband were living together. When I got to the address, the husband invited me and my colleague in, explaining that his wife wasn't home, but that we were to feel free to have a look round the house. He showed us the matrimonial bedroom and I noticed a photo ablum lying on a table. I asked if he minded me looking at the photos, to which he said not. I leafed through the piccies and, bugger me, they were all of his wife in bed with another woman.......

    Scouse.

That reminds me, is there any chance of having my photo album back Scouse?

  3. Please post all congrats and praise to the Australian cricket team on beating the R.O.W.  and the humiliation of the R.O.W cricket team.....

We all know that this will happen, so why not get in early with some good words for a great performance.....

Also please stop Lampost throwing himself of a tall building....as it makes to much of a mess !!!   :o

a line has been drawn in the sand Pie Boy......those that are not with The Fly, are aganist The Fly......

    :D:D

Does it ever get lonely on your side of the line ?

  4. I would invade a non-threatening country with plenty of oil, bomb the population to smithereens and start a major civil/holy war of epic porportions.

Then I would chase a poor brazilian immigrant on his way to work, down into the subway and blow his head off.

These are the ways enlightened societies deal with terrorists.

And, oh yeah, I would spout a lot of mindless rhetorical B.S. about never giving in to terrorism and pound my chest a lot. That would do a lot of good. Right.

Plot lost slimchance I think and a very poor referance to events that led to the unfortunate death of Jean Menezez.

  5. Sunderland played well today, but I suspect the games gone so far will be indicative of the rest of their season, lots of heart, unlucky late goals etc.

If it's any consolation I can confirm that not only are Newcastle pants but they are very expensive pants.

I await rant from Geaordie dreamers please post soon. :o

  6. Turning the question around to suit a female I couldn't say that I could fall in love with two males. However I could lust over two males anyday. Notice the words I've changed?

I think if I was in love with one male I'd be able to lust over another but I'd always know who came first. The male I loved.

    Typical eh? :D

Typical of what? A 17 yr old teenager who has had very little experience of loving men so far during her short life? :o

    17 yr old?

No , my post was a cheap attempt at inneundo based on the wording of the post that clearly didn't work and lookin' at it again, I'm not surprised.

No offence meant and apologies if any taken.

I'm assuming that Ice Maid is the 17 yr old in question?

    I'll get my jacket now.

    u ######s

I think in the interest of a fair and balanced discussion it would be much better if you didn't hold back your feelings so much.

    Just two questions:

    (1) How do you know they are from Yorkshire ?

    (2) Do you find it difficult to make freinds?

  8. not so very long at all , but they are thai provinces now.

and i dont hear the malaysian government demanding them back.

You might not hear them demanding them back but equally so have they gone on record to condem the terrorists' actions ? Are they working with the Thai government to track movements of suspects etc?

Sometimes what it's what people don't say that counts.
