Wednesday, post-3pm, but don't tell anyone or it won't be.

About 2,000 baht. Sukothai is alright and about halfway. If you take the Chainat/Suphanburi route you can bypass Bkk completely. HH is then another two/three hours.

Main thing bothers me here is as soon as it's out you'll have Somchai Bloggs et al copying it and selling it for peanuts without repercussion.

I know the guy's a crook and the rest of it and innocents probably died--and also don't like to bring his name into this thread--but I wonder how many people have been spared by the actions of Khun T, taking all those pushers and pins out of the equation...

Easy on your tod for the non-sexpat book reader who can get by on noodles/rice and a moderate amount of booze, but don't let it get around or we'll have another influx!!!

Well done India, now can you focus on feeding your people and protecting your women?

Could you not just organise a self-induced coma and save all that hassle?

I would take a deep breath and think about this a bit. 20 year old, meet online, 'works' in Patts etc etc. She likely has lots of sponsors and has been merrily banging away, unprotected! While women can get pregnant through pre-seepage, chances are it is likely someone else's, if she is pregnant at all even. at that stage, you walk! Even if she is and it is yours, if the rules are anything like the UK, you could marry and get the nipper an Oz passport/birth cert' at a later date from within Thailand.
/stops talking to you/disappears for a month: indicates she has someone else I'm afraid. Assume the worst//

Hua Hin area? Some years aren't too bad and it is generally ok by mid-May (avoid March-May) when the rains start back up.

Usual song ? I have never encounterd it EVER being said, so its hardly usual,
You've never heard a Thai say 'Thailand is for Thais', or similar? I have, on many occasions (including immigration) even in the most benign of non-bar situations among educated and non-educated folk. Perhaps get out more, keep the antennae up and listen in Thai and English.

I like your style, he probably lost an ounce of face. But unfortunately you can't argue with kids or educate pork. Would you have had the urge to stick him on his behind if there were no repercussions? Aside from some
of these guys being as thick as two short planks and the puerile face thing, I think they wouldn't be so tough if they didn't think everyone in the area had their back.

Do all three! Language school can be just a few hours a day. You could go to a retreat for 7 days and be completely bored (better to do mindful meditation in your room anyway, me thinks) or perhaps do a massage/meditation course at Wat Pho, and then hit Pattaya on weekends.

Chiang Mai has 'expressways' (Superhighway/Inner (middle) ring road) but not of the Bangkok elevated, tolled kind with no lights. Bikes can go anywhere in CM.

If he's not ridden before, have him rent a mountain bike and use the big songthaews to get to town.

As well as removing the corrupt government, the upcoming coup should also look to removing the police force... I mean, crime would be halved right there!

^^ Agreed. Do 200 pushups/situps a day and you'll be fitter than most of the populace. Augment with cycling. Used to do a bit at City Gym, but that place has seriously gone downhill... filled with nattering beefcakes now (Thai and farang) and the kit is worse for wear. The push-up (press-up) alone is such a good all-round exercise, including legs and core as well as the obvious.
Op: this stadium here (Gmaps co-ords: 18.800622,98.990056) has a gym under the grandstand for a few baht (or used to) with some weights and suchlike. You can also run around the track. Just north of north moat, which ain't far from US Consulate.

Budget, Thai Rent A Car, Northwheels (all will deliver and have full insurance as standard). Avoid Somchai and his Vios on the street.

I'm surprised admin hasn't set up a filter to have these time-wasters auto-binned.
