Since I have never put 800k in a thai bank I was wondering what exactly one has to do with complying with the FACTA/FBAR reporting when doing one's income taxes at year end? Since I go back to the US for a couple of months each year do I need to get something from the bank where my 800k will be on deposit in order to be able to complete the FACTA/FBAR requirement? I don't want to go back to the US and not be able to complete the FACTA/FBAR requirement since I don't have the necessary info or documentation to complete it.
You can fill out the form online

Won’t see imagery of Jesus, only Santa and reindeer, but the major hotels feature an extensive buffet.

You’ll have a great time if you have a good attitude. Maybe the OP missed that this time around? Bars have always been commercialized and pushy for drinks.

OK, how about 90 baht drinks until 8 at Sharks on Soi Cowboy, and they have some hot dancers you can impress in the unisex restroom while they’re doing their hair. LOL

I think you’ve changed. I’ve lived in lower Sukhumvit for 6 years and love it. First visited in 1992, It’s different now, no better or worse. You have to know the good places to go.

I rammed a pickup truck broadside on my motorcycle at 50 Kph. The driver made a quick left turn in front of me without checking his blind spot or using the directional. I was unconscious until the ambulance arrived, awaking in the ditch with the driver and passengers handing me my broken watch and sun glasses, but at least they looked remorseful.

Steakhouse Co has daily specials

El Gaucho on Soi 11 had featured half-price steaks on weekday afternoons, don’t know if they still do.

El Gaucho Argentinian Steakhouse on Sukhumvit Sois 19 or 11, Steakhouse Co on Patpong 2, or New York Steakhouse in JW Marriott.

Africans that work in the gems industry do indeed stay in lower Sukhumvit. You can get a small room at the Miami Hotel for 8000/month plus utilities. After the closing of Chuvit Garden, there's no open space in lower Sukhumvit, and no one is going to stay in their room all day, so they tend to stand outside, only to be harassed by tourists demanding drugs. They're not dealing drugs, they're just standing around. DUH!

Those in Soi 13 were not targeted, the same old nasty faces are still around. Their presence, alone, was the problem! You wouldn't call their pissing in the street a problem, either, then?
Us "retards" that are in that area regularly not only have "the mindset" that West Africans hanging around that area, all day and all night, probably are drug dealers, we know that they definitely are dealers!
Sorry to spoil the stereotype but you don't know very much, you're just weird. I've worked the gems industry here for years and plenty of law-abiding Africans come to Thailand for legitimate business reasons.

There's always one isn't there.
The pompous, sneering, self-appointed moral guardian.
Always on the look out to be offended on behalf of another race or gender.Ready to condemn those considered beneath them, with moral outrage.
Insults always used, and the racism card is a must.
Lecturing others and virtue-signalling their superiority.
Only one type of person we need to deport immediately - this type of pompous peacock.
I don't look down on Africans. I only look down on you @t8769, and I wish you were the only one.

Bourbon Street (Soi Ekkami) is the only Cajun Creole restaurant in town, has a Mexican buffet Tuesday nights. I go there for breakfast: crab cakes eggs benedict

For seafood, try Snapper NZ in the first subsoi off Soi 8. Cod is good but I love the calamari with onion rings and a bottle of Moosehead for about 500.

I have heard that Pala pizza is real good. My craving for western food remains unsatisfied and I wont be to Farangumvit till Friday, day maybe.
BTW, where is the best schwarma?
Don't know schwarma, but the best bbq ribs are at The Smokin' Pug near Lumpini Park and the best Mexican is La Monita Taqueria in the Mahatun Plaza (BTS Ploenchit)

I had the pork knuckle with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Not as good as Mom's but still good. Wasn't in the mood for beer, so had Irish Coffee, 480 + 250 and no tax or service charge added ☝️

I had a full gastrectomy for a hemorrhaging stomach at Bangkok Hospital Medical Center. I arrived at the ER in an ambulance, throwing up blood, the hospital had arranged a motorcycle police escort. Spent two weeks (including 3 days in the ICU) getting soapies from awesome nurses. Full bill was 1.6 Million, including discount.
