The immigration ALWAYS has the right to require further proof at any time IF THEY WISH TO.

Usually they don't, but it is their right to do so when they desire.

Therefore, if you have a pension or other source of income from outside of Thailand, an intelligent person would always have proof of that fact....... just in case that person was asked for proof.

You don't need to show it, but at least have something with you if needed.

Yes that document was in hand at the immigration office along with the Embassy letter.

I have always used money in a fixed deposit,but apparently a particular gentleman has been putting his own interpretation on the rules.Time will tell,as always i have plan B.

Sorry guys, i have tried and i cant even see a live camera on my notebook, connected directly to my LAN port.

As i said, my rouyer is not a router, it just has a small box connected to the cable coming from the dish on my roof, with the addition of a wifi d-link extender..

with current ip add at the time ....192.168.101.207

I gave my camera an ip of...192.168.101.15

as i dont know what the ip address range is....

But when i try to open the ip address through firefox and the camera finding software , the camera does not connect..

Oh and the default port on the camera software is 81

AND i cant get into the controls of the wi-net box as they are passworded by TOT...so i dont know if port 81 is open or needs to be...thanks

Hi , i have TOT wi-net in the house and i have purchased an ipcam, the only problem is i have no router in the house only the TOT box (Ubiquiti type box i think ) and connected to that a d-link wifi extender..

When i do the ipcam search through the supplied software on my notebook pc , i can see the ipcam via a LAN cable to the notebook , but it wont assign it an ip address....

My service has dynamic ip address and not a fixed one, as in when i reset or power offf my internet i get a different IP address , can anyone in the know help me set this IPcam up with the system i have please...very kind regards

I am switching from Thai wife visa to retirement visa, because I believe it's easier for all. I'm aware of the financial requirements and can meet them.

You don't need a new visa. Just go to immigration when next extension is due and apply for extension using retirement as the reason for the extension of marriage.

You should take your wife along because some immigration offices will want her to give you permission to change extension types.

So if you are estranged for your wife , they wont allow you to change visa types, what if she has died , do you need her death papers ??
