This sounds just a bit far out. I'm coming down there just to see your desk.

Congratulations! Is it playing anywhere locally? A screening at the Pun Pun would be great.

Just to clarify; With the exception of the chocolate cake, which is freshly baked after I order it, everything else is frozen in portions when I pick it up. My orders usually last me about two months and none of these items have ever gone bad before I used them.
One of the advantages of ordering ahead of time is that they're accommodating to special requests like cutting my apple pies into smaller pieces and skipping the raising, etc.
And I didn't mention that the chocolate cake is almost identical to the taste of the Ice Cream Cake Roll that I used to get in the States. A little vanilla ice cream on it and I can't tell the difference. So when I get the cake, I'll cut it into small pieces just enough for single servings and freeze them in small ziplock bags. They keep just fine.

I'm with Sinet in the Watket area and had experienced outages at those same times.

Even if the power is out for an entire day, the fuller your freezer is, the longer your food will last. As long as you don't keep opening the freezer during the outage.

Being someone who does only a limited amount of cooking, I like to keep things on hand that I like and that don't require much preparation. The frozen food isles in the markets have some good choices, but for someone as picky as me, those choices are much too limited, unless you're willing to pay for some very expensive imported items.
About ten years ago, while dining at the PunPun Restaurant and Guesthouse, I asked how a small restaurant like this could have so many items on the menu. The answer was that they keep portions of many of their items frozen and ready to thaw when an order is placed.
This got me to asking; Could I just order these items and keep them frozen until I'm hungry for them? The answer was yes. That's when I started ordering my favorite dishes "Frozen to Go".
I stocked up on meatloaf, beef stew, chicken pies, english muffins, cherry pies and apple pies. Got the whole pies sliced and individually wrapped. All I needed to do for any of this was to heat it in the microwave. Lately, I've added chocolate cake to my list.
Been doing this for ten years now and it's handier now more than ever, since I can't go out to eat. This beats the prices of most other restaurants too.
Wonder how many know that this is available.
