I really recommend Pidgin too. It was the standard IM for ubuntu 1 year ago. ( Dont understand why they change it to Empathy)

By the way there is a nice Ubuntu Package called "pidgin-otr", withit you can chat encrypted with all pidgin supported chat protocols.

Is a Visa trip to Hong Kong also possible? Emirates offer daily flights from Bangkok <-> Hong Kong (7600Baht round-trip).  I have a Emirates Miles card so I can keep my Gold Status with extra miles.

I have Non Im "B" visa multiple entry visa and have to re-entry next days. It will be my first Visa run and I planing to fly Kuala Lumpur or Singnapore.

My question, is  there any minium time how long I have to stay outside the country? Few hours, one day or something? Best for me would be to take next airplane on the same day back to Bangkok

after 2 years of always only staying with tourist visa I just want to stay now for long time in thailand and want to have a legal permit of residence. I run my own business on internet and not forced to be anywhere. My income is big enough to have a well life in thailand.

The only difference is, I not want to work in thailand but I am not averse to found a company just to stay. Is there any possibility to have success?
