I drove to Cambodia twice via Poipet last year on a big bke and custom in Cambodia was not helpful at all both times. They told me that I had to drive back the last time because thai motorcycles were not allowed in Cambodia. I just ignored this BS and drove to Phnom Penh. I drove with lights on both day and night for about 7 months total without any problem, except one when the police in PP tried to stop me but I just went around them . When I went back to Thailand they didnt even look at the bike at the Cambodia side of the border. I overstayed the temporarily export from Thailand by about 5 months the first time, but it was not really a problem.

This is the most shocking part: "Plus the officers will investigate who spreads the clip video on social network and they will prosecute ones in act of destroying good image of country."

Wehave a few post here on occasion by people who want the 30day stamp to save there tourist visa. Op have you considered using the 30 days given do a fast border run and then using your tourist visa. But check to see what the use by date is first to make sure that will work.
You cannot save your tourist visa for later, I tried this last time but the immigration woman insisted that I had to use the tourist visa.

How about Ho Chi Minh City, can I get a double there too by showing plane tickets?

I tried the buffet at Sun City last month and the food except the Nan was terrible, not that I expected much for 99 baht. They were also slow with filling up the buffet.

I read online last month that it was hard to get tourist visa at penang if you had a lot of tourist visas before(i guess the same would be the case if you overstay), this information was probably 6-12 months old, so has this situations changed now?

You did not state where you are located, but View Talay 1B at Jomtien got it. 50 baht per load. The machines look new.

From which company can I get landline internet without signing a 12 months contract? I just need a stable internet connection and speed is not important. But it need unlimited download.
I live at 12. floor in Jomtien, so that might limit the options too. I already have AIS usb stick but I need 1 more internet line for downloading and backup etc.

Just curious, your voltage regulator went out? Can you tell me how many kilometers you have on your bike, what were the symptoms when the problem arose and what test procedures you went through to determine the problem? I think mine is out as well.
I got about 32,000 km on the bike. It started with the ABS light flashing while I was driving(the mechanic said this was because ABS cannot work with low/drained battery), and if I switched of the bike when this happened it would not start again, like a dead battery. Kawasaki changed the battery, and I had the same problem after, so the mechanic tried a voltage regulator from another bike and it started immediately

Im looking for a voltage regulator (part number number 21066-1127 or 21066-0705) for a 650R from a salvaged/crashed bike etc. For some reason a new part from Kawaski will not be available before the beginning of February.
Im in Pattaya but I guess shipping from other places in Thailand should be doable.
-
This is a long shot, but it will take up to 1 week to receive new parts from Bangkok, so is there any salvage Kawasaki 650R or Er6n/f here in Pattaya? I am looking to buy a voltage regulator, and maybe some other parts too. I will order the part from Bangkok tomorrow(tuesday) if no parts are available here in Pattaya. At Kawasaki in Pattaya they told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get the part from Bangkok because of some invoice problems they had.

Check that Harleyesque looking shop with the Indian outfront on the hill between Patong and Karon. They seem to have a decent collection. Not cheap though.
The quality of the products there are questionable at best, I believe they have only fake products.. My alpine stars gloves (the most expensive they had) lasted under 1 year before they started to dissolve. And my knee pads fell apart too.

Minibus company

Schedule
Can anyone help me with the phone number to 35 group pattaya? Their website has not been paid and thus is not working, and they are not located at soi 13 as someone wrote here on thaivisa in another thread.
Or phone number of another cheap minibus company going to Koh Chang pier from Pattaya? Like 400-450 baht. Huge bonus if it does not stop at the pier for Koh Samet too.

I have been looking around for weeks for a place that can weld aluminum, does anyone know a place that can do this? I have found a lot of different welding places, but non of them can weld aluminum. It is just small repair on an exhaust pipe.

"You've had that bike for a while now. Still the same black F you had when you were living down here right? So now you are moving to Cambodia? What did you end up doing about that 2 bros. that kept falling apart? "
Still the same bike. I brought it down to Phnom Penh for 4-5 months and just came back from there, but Im heading back there in a few days.
The 2 bros was fixed by changing from rivets to some sort of screws, no problems over the last 10k km.

What mirror do you need F or N, they are different, I have both. You can borrow one from me and give it back
when you receive the one you ordered from Kawa.
Oh, I did not know that they were different.. Im looking for mirror for the old Er6F. I want to buy it though, since Im going abroad with the bike.
-
Does anyone have a left side original mirror for Er6F/Er6N that I can buy? Kawasaki in Pattaya did not have them available, and I need it today or Sunday before I go on a road trip.

Time to revitalize this thread!
I just arrived in Pattaya with my 650R from Phnom Penh and I need the 30k km service. Where is the best place for this service in Pattaya, and what should they replace/fix?
Anyone has an idea on homeless skinny Swiss guy in South Pattaya?
