  1. In may i was watching a friend talk to this beautiful girl. Said she worked in a salon, on soi 3 i think. Anyway as the night went on he asked her if she wanted to spend the night with him. She said she would love to but he would have to take her roomate too, and it would cost him 2000 bht. To make a long story shor he passed. Who knows what would have happened.
  2. You got that right. We went to Hua Hin in may, planned to stay thier for 4 days, left after 2. My fiance didn't even like it. Everything is too spread out. The beach and the water is clean, but We like pattaya  for the facilities. Nice super makets, dept stores, malls, ect. Plus we have a lot of friends in Pattaya.
  3. I heard the same thing about Bangkok Bank.

    Sevinnow,

How did you arrange the transfer with krungthai Bank? Did they have the routing numbers for you to use? I also heard that was a better bank to deal with.

  4. Thanks Lopburi,

I really had no idea i was just doing anestimated guess. My living room, and kitchen is actually ajoined, so i will have to get a bigger unit for the living room. One more quiestion:

is it more reasonable to buy from Big C, Lotus, or Tesco than an aircon store, and do they warantee?

  5. Thanks Lopburi3. I really don't know the size to put in. The living room is about 600 sqr feet, and the bedrooms are about 270 sqr feet. Correct me if i'm wrong that would make the living room 200 sqr meters, and the bedrooms 90 sq meters. do you have an idea of the sizes we will need?
  6. Kiwi Jack,

I can only tell you what i have obtained from the ministry of foriegn affairs website, as i am on my way back to thailand on sat, and will be getting married on august 10th. First of all your mariage must be registered with the thai government. You can obtain an O visa for support of a thai family in country at thai immigation. You would have to take your wife, passport, wifes id card and mariage certificate to immigration and apply for an o visa. This is good for 90 days. Once you get the O visa you can apply for a one yr extension. You would have to put 250,000 bht in a thai bank account, and get a letter from the bank tht the money came from outside of thailand, preferably your home country. Once you get the extension you will need to report your address to immigration every 90 days. According to what has been published in the news papers the visa fees, and extension fees are increasing effective august 26, 2003 from 5500 bht to approximately 105,000 bht. And in 2004 you will have to have 400,000 bht in the bank. You are able to use the money during the year, but must transfer additional funds upon renual to make up the difference.

  7. I have seen houses with 3 separate units one for each bedroom, and one for the living room, with the unit outside, and the condensor mounted on the wall. Is this what you mean by split units? I wasn't aware that big C sells these units.
  8. My fiance tells me both your birthdates determin the day of the week that you are to get married according to Thai custom. This is for good luck. Most things in Thailand seem to be based on good luck. Even when i went to the Buhda ( i know the spelling is wrong) temple, the monk toldme this is good luck for you.
