Thanks guys for the info. The ThaiVisa forum is helpful as always :)
My wife sent me this source and she says this is the most official and current one.
Here is the link: http://osos.boi.go.th/index.php?page=faq_detail&group_id=211&topic_id=492
Please feel free to discuss if any thoughts or opinions on this one.

Hi,
I am married so I suppose it won't be a hassle to obtain the non-immigrant O.
Here is a link with general information: http://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/work-permit-basics.php
-
Thanks.
I remember that before there were some prerequisites to employ a foreigner such as company must have the annual money turnover of 2 million Baht, six Thais to be employed or something similar.
Do you maybe know what the prerequisites are for companies in order to employ a foreigner?

Hello guys,
My company would like to send me to work in Thailand in their branch office and we are aware that a work permit is needed. It is an IT company.
Would you please provide me with a specific information about what is needed to be done by my company in order to obtain the work permit for me?
Thank you in advance,
-
Thank you to everyone.
This makes the things much clearer for me now.

Thank you guys for your knowledgeable inputs. They are very informative.
Actually, I am officially married in Thailand although I live in Hungary and my wife in Thailand.
Do you think it would be a good idea to take a copy of the marriage certificate with me in case they start questioning why I come often to Thailand?
-
Thanks guys.
Do you maybe know how many times I can repeat this in one year?
I am asking because I am going back to Europe but plan to visit Thailand 3 or 4 times more this year.

Hello guys,
Happy New Year
I would like to ask a question.
Would you be so kind as to tell me how to handle the following situation?
I am a Hungarian citizen and my country belongs to the ones that when visiting Thailand the visa is not required for 30 days because it is on the list of countries with the Tourist Visa Exemption.
Therefore, I plan to go to Thailand and spend there three weeks. However, within those three weeks I would like to visit Vietnam or Cambodia and spend there three to five days and come back to Thailand.
So let's say I left Thailand by plane, spent a weekend in Vietnam and would like to get back to Thailand by plane as well.
Do I need some visa when I am coming back to Thailand or my thirty days will still be valid (the thirty days when I had came in Thailand based on the Tourist Visa Exemption)?
I apologize if my question is complicated and please ask for additional info if needed so I am going to provide you with a clarification.

EDIT.
As a Hungarian citizen you are not entitled to apply for a VOA.
You can get a Visa Exempt Entry which will give you 30 days and is free.
This can be extended at Immigration by 30 days for a fee of 1,900 Baht.
Then it sounds good because I plan to stay only three weeks there but I get 30 days by default initially and no extension will be needed.
It seems the question has been answered.
Thanks again for your help

Hi Lite Beer,
Thank you for your answer.
I have found two internet links according to which Hungary belongs to the list of countries with Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme:
http://www.desiyatri.com/2016/09/country-wise-information-of-visa.html
http://hungary.siam-legal.com/
However, I am not sure about the validity of these two sources.

Hi everyone,
I believe that this question has already been raised in the past but I would like to have it confirmed.
I will come with Hungarian passport and get the visa on arrival (two weeks, suppose it is 1000B).
However, I would like to stay three weeks and I need to make an extension.
Where am I supposed to make this extension, what documents are needed and how much it costs?
Thank you for your answers.

You really helped me to save some money.
So, in order to avoid this 45 eur fee the one who sends the money can send 999 eur and the fee can be avoided.
Thanks
-
When someone sends me the money by PayPal, 4.5% fee is always cut.
It really did not matter if the amount was less or more 1000 eur.
Is there any cheaper way to send or receive money in Thailand than PayPal as I thought that this is the cheapest way?

Always wondered also.
Very good question

Oh guys, please don't be so naive.
I am a Christian Catholic from Serbia.
Americans bombed my country because of so called "The freedom of speech".
I didn't have a clue what was happening but many innocent people had died there.
Anyway, after whole that long period of suffering I thought that an average American citizen cannot do anything about it because he is just an ordinary guy who has to pay taxes to the US Government because otherwise he would go to prison.
After that I left the country and met quite a number of Americans.
I was very disappointed because I saw by my eyes that their ego was too much high.
They thought that their opinion was always relevant. Every conversation finished with "I am right" (meaning "We are right"), what was just foolish.
I can't say, I met some Americans who were just normal people (minority) who really didn't care about the crap that the US Government did whit its propaganda spreading around the World and were really good people who I deeply respect.
All the others don't know "to clean their ass after pooping out" - with the other words they are not aware of the reality in the world.
This whole crap is not just about the movie but it is almost the last drop in a glass.
No one likes that American crap when they behave like they are always right.
PS. I am still aware that there are a lot of good and normal people in America who are aware about what their Government does around the world.

Very good idea
that if performed properly can provide great results.
I suggest Puppy Linux for the operating system as Linux is quite secure when it comes to viruses.
Prathom 1 immediately to Linux and in a couple of years Thai society may get some young programmer talents

Two or three months money in the bank.
My experience is that everything in Thailand depends on place where you apply and who you deal with. (Your look is important, your wife's speaking polite Thai and repeating kaaa 1m times, smile all the time etc.) :jap:

And about Toyota and its employees.
Of course they shouldn't get a free car but of course they should get an employee discount.
Generally, that's also in Toyota's interest because they will sell more cars and the society will see that people who work there also use their products. (By the way, that belongs to "Public relations")
If I was the owner of Toyota I wouldn't like my employees drive for ex Ford.

Dear friends,
And with that money they have to pay for their accommodation, food, clothes, shoes, educate their children and have some fun once a week.
Good idea but I can't make the right calculation.
On the other side, no one will give them a rise if they do not fight.
If they don't fight they will live worse and worse.
If they lift the boycott on KFC food I am gonna support them.
Try imagine being on BHT 27 a week.
A bottle of Leo beer is 48 baht.
So sad
If they will fight, they will loose their jobs and will end up sleeping on the streets.
This is conditions in the country, they are NOT any worse off the any other person working in Thailand.
Now the managers who created the problem(providing this is all out in Thai media) may find themselves little unemployable for a while.
First, they will end up on streets. They are already there with that money.
What kind of accommodation can you pay for 1000 B?
Someone may let you sleep in his yard with rats, snakes etc.
Second, the managers created a problem.
In the 21st century we call it fighting for human rights.
People in New Zealand earn $13 per hour because they fought for their rights or as you say they were causing problems.
Third, try to imagine yourself working for 27 B per hour. (read: first, really imagine yourself being there and then answer this post)
I support boycott on KFC food.

If you are married at the moment = 400THB/year
If you are not married 800THB/year
800 - 400 = 400
This is 100% profit increase.
They want more money in the country to be spent.
Also, more foreigners are coming. Demand, supply.
More foreigners = more strict rules i.e less foreigners less strict rules.
Moral of the story: Consequences of globalization :jap:

Farangs relax,
This is called a political gaffe
I am sure that he regrets his words.
He may have realized a moment later what he had sad but it was too late for excuse because he would have lost his face.
Loosing face in Thailand
I am sure everyone knows about that :jap:

Hello guys,
As it can be seen there are many interesting aspects when it comes to work permit.
Thank you for your comments. They helped me to build a bigger picture so I can provide my company with a better insight.
Kind regards,
