  1. apology slightly off topic:

i flew in from the UK yesterday with Qatar, both flights were fully booked in all class's. only 1 seat was vacant in Economy and that was because no show (they had checked in on line)

I have never paid so much for Business on Qatar (3200gbp) on Skyscanner went up to 3900 last weekend.

Doha airport was rammed, you would never know there was any problems with the amount of people travelling

  2. fantastic ...made my registration 05:45 this morning Europe, and have just received my QR code , can print off or use on smart phone ..job done (after already waiting almost 3 weeks for the CoE process)

can only submit .jpeg images, colours very washed out on webpage not easy to see tick box's with poor eyesight ..strange they dont ask for copy of visa stamp (they do ask length of stay) ...i really cant fault it on the first day of action.

for your info , all was made on Brave browser and over vpn

I don't see this happening until there is vaccination plan in place and until the virus variant is better understood. If a more infectious or deadly version of the virus spread in Thailand there would be tens of thousands dying every month like in Africa.

  4. can anyone who has received the CoE via a UK application ..did you have to travel to the Thai Embassy in London to physically receive the CoE....or did you submit/apply via the online app then get the CoE as a download from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs... also now when booking the quarantine hotel is this now down to the applicant or are Thailand Elite still working as the middle man....I am getting nowhere with TE the email answers are very basic and many times in what appears to be Google translated English.

If you have gone thro the process and are now waiting to dept from the UK on a NON repatriation or private Jet I would appreciate any tips (please PM me)

Here is a perfect example of a TE answer as to why they keep Incorrectly saying a COVID free/fit to fly test are required at the start of application:

Covid-test would be matching while COE retrieving process would take 3 to 7 days depends on each Royal Thai Embassy in each area as well,

Lastly, for clarifying the information about 30 days process would be the TEM-Q confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and for retrieving COE would be approximately 3 to 7 days depends on each the Royal Embassy.
  5. so many myths ...xaralto is available WITHOUT prescription at most Fashino (if out of stock they will order take 3 days) roughly 6,000 baht for 28 pills (box is huge..3 time the usual size) take an old box as many staff have no idea what Rivaroxaban or Xaralto are.

after fighting to get thro all the tracking i hope this is of benefit ..first post in roughly 5 years might be on again in about the same time frame....way too much hassle if you protect your data systems.

  6. I have just been thro the procedure and to be truthful its quite straight forward even tho I am not really happy about a couple of irritations.

First the staff who man the desk at Sathorn are really not that helpful to walk in customers, I had to talk to 2 assistants on the desk (very poor English) before I got 2 Elite sales personnel who basically just wanted to pick a fight with me until I told them straight I am going to give you all this money for no straight answers and your ridiculous attitude (you get tired of listening to Can Not , Can not with no reason why I can not!!!)...this cooled them down and from that moment all was great and they explained all in great detail.

What i just dont agree with is this part (I had a retirement extension when I applied...plus I dont live in BKK) ...so if you dont want to fly out, first of all you MUST cancel your extension (even if 11 months are left on the extension validity) at your local Immigration office then apply for a 7 day extension cost of 1900 baht (after you have just paid all this money to join PE!!!) your New Visa must be affixed within the 7 day extension (affix visa appointment at C Wattana must be made before you cancel extensions or apply for 7 day extension as you need to show proof for reason of Extension cancellation etc etc

From what I picked up at TE Sathorn there IS friction between Immigration and TE..hence the stupidity of not being able to cancel extensions and then issue the PE visa at the same time

Hope this helps some , I no longer use TV so i wont be replying
