  1. Is this the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mor.promplus&showAllReviews=true Seems reviews say there is no English version. One review says only Thai ID is enterable.
  2. Yeah, both doses were taken this month here in Pattaya
  3. Or do you guys advise taking the paper everywhere? I personally would prefer to keep it at home and have a picture of it on my phone if that won't cause issues renting hotel rooms, etc. This isn't travel/visa related by the way, I'm in Thailand and my main concern is just being able to do stuff restricted to the unvaxed.
  4. $900 later I have the laptop. I'll know never to do that again. Would have been almost as expensive to fly to the US to get it. A lot less hassle to, plus a near free trip.
  5. Can it work in an oven? I have that but no stove top or hot plate (and don't like having to watch them)
  6. Good to know, thanks. Does it matter that I haven't left the country in 2+ years? I've been year effectively for 7 years, initially doing border runs for ED visas, then switching to a Volunteer visa and renewing it without leaving the country.
  7. Not sure to be honest, my old language school handled the paperwork for me.
  8. Not sure, I will probably take this trip in November or December after things have loosened up a bit though
  9. Hi, when I travel to Phnom Penh from Bangkok I would like to return by land border. What options are available? Poipet is not a good option but any others are.
  10. Thinking of going to Phnom Penh for a week or so. I'm about to get my 2nd 1 year volunteer visa. To come back to Thailand, do I just need a re-entry stamp from immigration before I go to Cambodia?
  11. Laptop was delivered today. 2,000 baht fee paid to Fedex driver (and shown on delivery bill) on the $700 declared value. What I took away was that this meant Fedex also prepaid the customs fee. In the past I heard only DHL did that.
  12. The 2nd laptop got through customs without incident, and is at "Chon Buri" one day ahead of schedule. It was marked as $700 in value. I have not paid any customs fees on it (yet). Saturday, October 2, 2021 10:11 AM CHONBURI TH At local FedEx facility 10:07 AM CHONBURI TH At local FedEx facility Package not due for delivery My takeaway is that marking the item value over 40,000 THB is what causes huge problems with customs release. Two questions if anyone knows: 1. I live in Pattaya. Is the Naklua location (below) most likely what they have listed as "Chon Buri" ? FedEx World Service Center Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri, Thailand · +66 2 491 2000 Closed ⋅ Opens 10AM Mon 2. Can I pick it up in person if I arrive at 10am Monday with ID and package tracking info? I ask because, in the US one can select to "Hold for pickup" online. I am not able to sign up for Fedex Delivery Manager online for a Thailand address though.
  13. I had Sinovac today. in 3 weeks I'll get AstraZeneca. Some hotels ask for vaccination proof. Bangkok Pattaya Hospital didn't give me anything. How do I obtain proof?
  14. yeah BKK is the airport code for Swampy airport (main international one). Don Muang is DMK
  15. Is the declared value ignored then? My company opted to have the first laptop returned and send out another one. It's also coming via Fedex and the declared value this time is $700 (24,000 thb per Google). I don't mind paying the import tax but what would harm us is if they try to hold it again to do some sort of "private assesment" or some other BS. I need that laptop to come to me without interruption.
  16. I'm guessing the 15,000 thb inspection fee is a bribe given the dollar amount, and speed which it passes. Here are the normal fees and clearance times. As you can see it is much cheaper, but the normal way can take 2 weeks. - Clearance charges 428 THB - Custom fees 200 THB - Duty & Tax + Vat 7 % determine by Thai Customs - Amendment (If any) 1420 THB - Duty handling fees 2% (Mins 185 THB) - Daily storage charge 1.25 THB / KGS / Day (Mins 100 THB)
  17. The declared value was $1,300, putting me over the 40,000 thb limit customs hases for hassle free entry. I need to pay for an import license and expensive inspection, holding fees, pickup fees. One Thai customs broker quoted 25,000 thb all in. Another foreign managed broker gave me an itemized bill for 20,000 thb or so, their fee being 1,700 thb. 15,000 thb goes towards the inspection fee. Painful but my employer will reimburse me.
  18. Okay, Nua bus terminal to Ekkamai it is then. I guess from there a mototaxi to BKK Airport. Anyone know if the Nua bus terminal is also cutting service? Also, any issues with travel between these two provinces (Chon Buri to BKK)?
  19. I'm looking to take the bus from Pattaya to BKK Airport: https://airportpattayabus.com/from-pattaya/ I think this is the station in the same lot as Foodmart Jomtien. Can I just show up at 9am, 12pm or 4pm? Or must I reserve online? I would prefer not to reserve as I'm not sure which time I will need.
  20. I know BPH frequently posts notices for walk ins. Any others? BPH is kind of far from me compared to most others (I'm on Soi Buakao)
  21. https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/pattaya-reopens-spas-cinemas-allows-live-music-shortens-curfew-hours-373608 Does this go into effect today? If not, anyone know when?
  22. I think it was the declared value of $1,300. Fedex sent a forum say I have to pay 20,000 thb or so to be declared as an importer.
  23. I don't have an airbill or invoice, is Fedex the company to ask about this?
  24. Thai customs is holding a package of mine. FEdex says if they're used for "key landing" (sp?) it'll taake 5-7 days to receive. I need this fast and am willing to pay. Anyone else use a faster service they can recommend? Sorry for the mis-spelling, I've never used the service mentioned. EDIT: I was sent a link to this: https://www.ctat.or.th/ So I think I need a customs broker.
  25. They just called and said "package more than 40,000 thb, need to pay customs"
