  1. Hi,

i got my 8th tonsilitis this year. Never had any problems with my tonsils until the rainy season started. So for now its like every 2-3 weeks and i have to take anti-biotics to get rid of it.

Did anyone got their tonsils removed in bangkok? Whats the procedure like?

Should i just wait until the rainy season is over and hope for the better?

I read a lot of downsides regarding the tonsil removement. Easy to get infects etc..

    Hope to get some advice.

  2. Just cleared 5 months overstay.........i did it intentionally and will continue to do as i see fit! it all a load of balls!

    Some more details please.

Did you fly out of the country and came back the same day, or did you go the immigration in changwatana and cleared it there?

More info would be useful.. :)

I flew out of sooyouwannaboomboom( im sure thats is the wrong spelling-ooops) airport at 11.30pm last night, so i cleared immigration around 10pm. A female immigration office who showed me to the overstay desk grinned and said "so you like thailand" in a pleasant manner. The officer who then proceeded to fill out the papaer work was nice and polite, i asked him whats the most overstay he has seen today, he replied "5 years" with chuckle. I also asked about if people have been arrested or detained, he said no! I enquired further, and it seems if you cant pay then they sometimes hold you untill you can, but mostly incases where the fine is alot of money 20k plus! I havent returned to bangkok as will be staying in another asian country for a while.

I've got the need to not believe what you are saying directly , perhaps you could show us a picture of your overstay stamp , also of curiosity what the stamp in your passport looks like , and to keep this thread on a more serious note and not only hearsaying .

    thank you very much .

I dont think thats a hearsaying - its been a dozen people that cleared up there overstay the last few days and none of them got in trouble.

Did they say anything about blacklisting?

  4. Hi,

i just read the news and my buddy is on 7 month overstay.

He entered the country from germany on a 30day visa on arrival stamp and is still in the country now.

He plans to leave to Kuala Lumpur within the next few days, pay 20,000 baht at the airport and return back into the kingdom the same day.

The way i understand the new rule is, that you either pay the fne or go to jail, correct?

Can someone englight us here please..

  5. In Soviet Russia, the Massage Lady tips you!

Just kidding.. some thai people told me to tip them decent, or its some lose face kind of thing.

In some upscale places in Ratchada your expected to tip 1,000 where the initial massage price is between 3 and 5,000 baht..

So your not tipping to less in my opinion..

  6. About Thai male attitudes towards prostitution...My random opinion ~ I doubt many young men would go; huge loss of face & it is far easier for them (more so than say their farang equiv) to pick up a girl through normal channels. I imagine the Thai clientele at the brothels would consist of policeman and single men aged over 40 with alcholism issues.

Sounds like the type of guy that drives a bmw, porsche or ferrari to visit one of those upscale joints..

All the the high end MP's, Gentlemen and Member Clubs are full of young (rich) asian men..
