  1. Beck's beer used to be produced in Thailand by Thai Amarit brewery, but as far as I know they stopped producing a few years ago. I reckon the Thais didn't like it's light taste. It may be imported but I doubt it.

  2. Have lawyer now I am beginning to think that this was a set up to do just what she is trying to do. I new her 6 months she rushed the marriage.I wanted to wait a year. Maybe this is not the first time she has done this. I do not reply to her threats but do keep all the email messages for my lawyer for possible future actions. She is so stupid she takes ex husband to a friend of mines hotel to apply for work. I told her 2 weeks ago I had a n investigator take photos, Unfortunately in Thailand you need to catch your spouse in sexual relations to get a quick divorce. Not just with her ex husband. I am wondering if they are part of a gang and he gives the orders. I have copies of his ID card as well as copies of everything of hers. I did return her passport and house keys as the lawyer suggested.I did pay her bank 56,000 bhat in back mortgage payments.

She rushed the marriage? Don't you have a say ?

She is so stupid? That's funny.

The lawyer told you to pay her 56,000 baht so you did. Who's lawyer is he?

    Keep 'em coming.

  3. Does anyone really believe this story? What kind of a person would ask for the advice of strangers about such important issues? Don't you have friends or family to discusss this with? Can't you or your brother figure it out? Do a couple of sentences give anyone sufficient information to solve this problem for you, if it were real?

If it is a true story (which I doubt) it is of no surprise that you (or your 'brother') are in this situation. Time to grow up guys.

  4. Yeah, that's the problem with politicians, all they do is get in the way of our life. Cause nothing but trouble. If we have 'free trade' then it should be free, and therefore no duties. But then they stick their oars in, and we all suffer. Bastards!

I wonder whether the CityLife wine column will also turn into a whine column?

  5. I absolutely Fking loved it biggrin.gif

Are there really this many people over the age of 9 that still think swearing is funny because it's rude?

If you're going to write about schoolboy humour then Billy Connolly certainly deserves a mention. He is a 'comedian' who made fame and fortune by being rude and offensive, telling schoolboy jokes. Unfortunately, like a lot of these guys, he made the mistake of letting his ego take over from his schoolboy brain.

In 2004 he made a 'joke' about a british hostage, Ken Bigley, who had been in the news a lot. He said "Don't you just wish they would get on with it". A few days later they did.

    Hilarious.

BTW - Is this "Thailand related"?

LOL Newbie! The OP is the founder and owner of this very message board, so which mod do you think would moderate him?

Like you, and unlike most people in this thread, I am offended by this word too. But like you, I will continue to be a subscriber to ThaiVisa, because this is a highly unusual thread and you won't find this word anywhere else on the forum. Rest assured, it is an exception.

He should set a better example. Do as I say, not as I do?

Maybe this should be moved to the 'jokes' forum.

I found it funny to swear when I was about 7 (only because somebody told me it was 'rude) but I did grow out of it by about 9 . Some people still find it amusing it seems. it doesn't bother me but it's either allowed or not.

Maybe a Mod can clarify for us.

  8. I was unaware of what a hernia was, exactly, until I went to check about a small 'lump' with Dr Tawatchai at Loi Kroh clinic. He diagnosed it immediately and recommended a specialist at Ram Hospital. He reckoned he was the top guy in Chiang Mai with a very good success rate of patients not having a reoccurence of the problem. I had a double hernia op and spent only one night in hospital. It cost about 60,000 baht , which was a bit high, but apparently the mesh that he used was quite expensive. I have no complaints (after 2 years of playing active sports) and the scars are almost invisible. Unfortunately I can't remeber the surgeon's name but Dr Tawatchai should be able to help.
