4 Dec/Saturday/7:30pm I successfully logged in 4 straight times...4 for 4.....split second logons.  I stopped at that point with that 100% success rate.

Me too.  Sent password change request. Received it within seconds.  Changed password and logged in.

NB:  It would seem that they do not confirm that the password was changed successfully.  After I changed the password,  the page just refreshed with log in details.

So how does that work on a PC desktop?

Depends on your keyboard type as to where they are situated.   In some cases there are 2 symbols on some keys.  The top one of the symbols can be accessed by holding the shift key and pressing the key with the symbol.  If the symbol you want is on a key with two symbols and you want the lower symbol, just press the key without pressing the shift key.

    Hope that helps

You will find " |" on your list of characters along with (,* ^☆》 etc.

When I entered my password, it began with [.

I thought this was a bracket to enclose the password.

After several attempts   I put this [  as the first symbol in front of my password and it worked.

    Hope that helps.

If you look at the bottom left cursor on this keyboard of an android phone, you will see the characters symbol.

If you press this once you will find a lot of symbols.  If you press it again, it will show as 1/2, you will then find even more  including the " |" sign.

    Enjoy????????

Youcannot change to different password. It has to be then generated one they the send you by email.

Sent msg " forgot password" received an email stating " request received to change password"......"click on link below.

I did that and it brings up " page not found.  Somewhat misleading to apply for password change to receive a page not found when clicking their link.

And, the reason I wish to change my password is because of the jumbled one they send you originally.

Wise cost about $27.00 - direct banking app bank to bank transfer $90.00....

Don't know where you get those figures from.  And it all depends on the amount you are sending.

If I send £1000 to my Thai bank through wise, using online banking to send money from my UK bank to wise, it costs me around £5.00 by wise to move the money to Thailand.

  6. Don't use a credit card.  Do a manual bank transfer (online).  It is also more expensive than using debit or credit cards.  Your bank will charge you for using these methods, as opposed to transferring money to wise by the manual method online banking transfer.

The only time I receive an OTP is when I log onto my computer to use wise, as opposed to my usual method of using my phone.

Nb:  it is standard practice for credit card companies to sometimes send the cc holder an OTP to verify the payment.

If I remember correctly in CM there is a sign next to the entrance which says something like "No extension without TM30".

Yep....last time I went.  But that was in April.  May have been taken down by now.  I am sure any CM members who have uptodate info, will advise.

A few years ago or more the Male Front desk Sgt with the Mike, showed us all the new plasticised  card about 4x6 with Tm 30 instructions.....if you leave your home and travel to another city anywhere in Thailand, and even within your province for any reason for ANY period of time, you must report to the city/Town main police office.  And when you return to Chiang Mai City  you must complete TM 30 within 24 hours....blah blah blah.

Absolute nonsense that I'm sure no one bothered with.  Fancy travelling for 20 kms or so for a day out and going through all that!!

The point is some folk provide something for the io that's not actually required. Some io would push it back and some might accept.

The assumption then becomes it's a requirement.

Of course never hurts to take along the kitchen sink just in case it's asked for.

Very good point!  Our immigration office in CM have just accepted all my paperwork and never commented.  Next time I will keep 90 day and TM separate and see what transpires.

That was changed in a new regulation done by immigration in June of last year.

A TM30 report is only needed if you change your registered address or if you are on a extension of stay and entered using a re-entry permit or entered with a multiple entry visa. A report is only required if you enter with a new visa.

    Very many thanks ubonjoe.

    Good to know.

They are not supposed to but at least 1 Imm office does this (mine -- Prachinburi).. If yours is saying you have to do it then do it as you won't get anywhere arguing.

Can sometimes be done online (depending on whether the site os up or not). You have to register to be able to do that.

Thank you.  I have always renewed mine.  And attached a copy to my annual renewal.

I will continue to have a copy in my backup file, just in case.   In all my years here, never had to argue/contest paperwork requirements.  Guess I have been lucky or just had all my ducks in a row. ????

Just to add to above info re no need for TM30.

That also applies to international travel.

Do nothing when you return with your reentry permit.

Only file Tm30 if you reentered with new visa or exempt..

Is this a recent change?   I thought that when they renew your yearly extension and observe a new reentry stamp supported by a new TM6, they would ask why you never renewed your existing TM30  within 24 hours of returning to Thailand.

Because the TM 30 you then  produce at your next yearly extension renewal prior to your outward/ inward journey  would be out of date.

But May I ask where is your Wise Account.

I believe it is London according to my account and their sort code.   But I might be wrong. I live in Thailand and signed up here.

@ Blorg.  Thank you.  That explains it.  The address on my account is registered here in Thailand.

But, it's no hardship, I still have my UK Mastercard, which I obtained many many years ago.
