Tim Newton was not the founder of Thaiger.

I along with3 other Mods resigned for this exact reason. Contrary to RedPhoenix aka BlueSphinx's misinformation we were not sacked. He was in fact one of the major contributors to TTForum and the misinformation and controversies promulgated therein. Sadly he's been re-admitted to both communities.
