The following story happened to me a few Years ago:
My Flight out of Suvarnabumhi was scheduled to depart 10:00 or 10:30 pm on my last "Permitted until" Date (I was on a 90 Day Single O Visa that time.
Checked in to my flight, went through Immigration at around 8:30 PM, got the exit Stamp. While waiting at the Lounge the message appeared that my flight was delayed substantially, and new Departure announced for 4 AM on the next Day.
In this situation, have I been on Overstay? -
About a week ago my wife dropped me at Udon Thani Airport for my (Solo) flight to Bangkok. At check In I realized I forgot my Passport at home ... Not enough time for going back to pick it up.
But I had no problem checking in for the flight with my Pink ID.At the Hotel in Bangkok (4 or 5*) I am a regular, they already prepared the Check In form using a Passport Copy they had scanned on a former trip.
No problem, also no problem checking in at Suvarnabumhi for the return.
Still will keep carrying my Passport on all domestic Flights in the future, just in case.

BOTH.
Meaning first extension and subsequent extensions.
If you are referring to non O application the funds only need to be in account on day of application
Thanks. Referring to extension of stay on visiting (living with my) wife.

It's 2 months.
Two Month for initial Application, or for annual extensions, or both?
-
So, as these answers somehow differ on one point, may I ask for clarification:
First Time 3 Month Money in Bank?Second and consecutive Extensions: 2 Month?
Or the other way round? -
Did you actually read the article you just quoted?
It says that, once you hold a Work Permit (I.E. are legally employed by a Thai Company) you are then allowed to do other jobs, unless you participate in activities not allowed for foreigners, or the company which issued and sponsored your Work Permit does not approve. -

HOWEVER, being 76, I did get a health insurance policy that meets Immigration's requirements (400K + 40K) last year when I was still 75 because it's very difficult to get health insurance when you are older than 75. It is renewable until I am 100! ???? I anticipate Immigrations will eventually require this for all visas and long-stay extensions, but as I stated above, so far it has not done so for a Non-O stay extension based on marriage.
Please PM me the details of insurance.

A friend of mine has a valid Work Permit that allows him to work at the location of his business.
He would like to open a second business. This will be a different ztd. Company.Construction for the Premises are soon to begin, he asked if the new address can be added as another workplace? He told me he heard that there have been some changes here about 1 or two Years ago. Asking at Workpermit office he has been told he can't register new place as it is obviously not ready, that would mean he cannot supervise the construction?

Does the 40k a month for extension have to come from abroad?
How about if you are working in Thailand and have a work permit?
I have a Marriage Extension based on working income in Thailand, approved by Udon Thani Immigration. Before I lived in Pattaya, and I’m did not accept it ….
So: Depends on where you live, and the mood of the Imm officer who deals with you …

The obvious answer is to obtain extensions based on marriage be that income method which will work or money in bank method.
Can't imagine why the money in bank wouldn't be preferred option especially given it's part time living here.
Also consider other options all depends on the planned length of stays in Thailand and Eu.
400000 Baht would be quite a chunk of money for him that he probably needs for other purposes while settling here.
Income from abroad would be his preferred way. He lives quite a bit away from his nearest Thai Embassy, and they seem to not answer his questions.
Is monthly income from abroad by way of a salary an option?
We have heard now that working for an employer abroad is not considered forbidden work. -
A friend of mine plans to move to Thailand part-time.
He can continue with his job in Europe, paying him a monthly Salary of over 80000 Baht after taxes. He wants to get an annual Visa extension based on his marriage with a Thai Woman.
He has problems with the 400000 Baht in Bank options, so he wonders if his European income would satisfy the Immigration requirements.
He currently lives in Europe with his wife, who will join him to Thailand.
What are his options?

Will fly from Bangkok to Udon Thani (and back) later this month. I am vaccinated (2 Swabs). What do I need to show at airport?

"Spokesman Col. Phakkhaphong Saiubon said there’s a need to “clear out people” as the situation of global pandemic starts to wind down. The government issued automatic extensions of stays earlier this year only after hundreds of foreigners queued up at immigration centers throughout the country. “There most likely will not be an extension. It’s all quiet on that front. It’s been a long time and we need to clear out people,” Phakkaphong said. “Thailand and the Thai government are already generous. No other country has this long of a visa amnesty.”
How would you folks describe his words?
Shouldn't he be accused of spreading false information as a computer crime? As can be seen from postings (with links) above, this statement is false.

You are covered by the amnesty when your permission to stay as stamped in your passport expires after 26 March 2020 (which in your case, will almost certainly be so).
So there is no need to go to your IO in person or mail the 90-day reporting documents.
But if you can do it on-line, it's worthwhile to do it already now to avoid the possibility of not being able to do it on-line after the amnesty because of having missed the current reporting-window.
Attached a trouble-shooting guideline for the on-line 90-day reporting.

What about my 1 Year Marriage Non-O extension? Current one expires in June. Do I need to extend it now or is this also covered by the Amnesty until July?

Thanks UbonJoe!

I am on annual Non-O extensions based on Thai Wife since I believe 2015, but so far never had to do a 90 Day report due to frequent travels with Reentry Permits. Never stayed 90 Days or more in Country. But now the time has come, and my 90 Day is due soon.
Tried the online reporting but got errors, presumable because I am not in their system.
Do I need to go to Immigration or am I covered by the amnesty until July? -
Married with Thai.
Arrived March 15th on a Multi-Non-O granted by KL Embassy. Extended in June 2014 for Annual based on 400000+ in Bank, had Multi-Reentry Visas, several Trips abroad annually, and annual extensions based on Money in Bank.
ALso had a Work Permit during the last few Years but kept extending based on Money in Bank.
Now due to The current Situation I might get laid off work, so am considering extending for 60 Days (First one ever for me) and then applying for extension based on Money in Bank starting August this Year. (Reason is I’m expecting funds from Europe to arrive in May, too late for the 2 Month seasoning requirement.
Should this work in Pattaya?

You have already had the money in the bank for the required 2 months (changed from 3 months last year). You could apply for your extension today.
Do you have a link to this latest order changing the requirements for keeping 400000 in a Thai Bank for only 2 month on consecutive Non-O extensions based on Thai Wife?
I'm sure its here somewhere but I cant find it, and I would like to show it to my Visa Agent who is insisting it is still 3 Month. -
Could be the 2nd Land border Stamp and a trip abroad during the validity. In this case you would not get another one.

Of course he can.
A re-entry permit can be issued for any permit to stay.
Also on a 30 Day Stamp from a land border? (Might be important for some!)

Thanks but I rather keep my EU citizenship with Visa-free entries to most Countries I travel to.

Thanks Ubonjoe!
Yes I am aware of the need of working and showing tax payments. Will the residency permission stay valid after I retire from work in the future? -
I'm on 1 Year Non-O Extensions based on marriage now for several Years in a row. My extension runs until June. Due to some private as well as business commitments I often have to travel abroad in May, June and July, which is often a bit difficult to time in order to be here to receive the approval stamp.
I also consider applying for residence in a few Years, where, as i understand, staying several Years on uninterrupted one-Year extensions is a requirement.
I am thinking of applying for a 2 Month extension to stay with my wife next time, to move the extension period away from the problematic June to July period, but I wonder if this would invalidate my status of having obtained several Years One-Year extensions and create issues when applying for residence? -
Never bothered with it. Living in Pattaya, and taking about 6-8 international trips plus maybe 20 trips within Thailand a Year, staying in Hotels.
Never been asked when extending my Visa. If they start asking I will pay the fine.

Well, I was airside, but had not left the Country (lifted off ground) technically. Some people here claim that you haven't left the Country until the plane either starts taxiing, or lifts off ground, or crosses the border airborne.
