  1. Locked up in the cellar in your mamas house playing with the computer alone, is not the same as walking among the crowds in Bangkok, as the infection risk is zero! 🙄
  2. The vaccination itself doesn´t "kill" the virus it just boosts your immune system so that your body can more easily defeat the virus and the symptoms will be less severe and revovery will be quicker! In 2023 I had a vax just a month before my trip, and although I did catch Covid it was over within 4-5 days only! This year I didn´t bother to get a vax before my trip, and once again I caught Covid but this time it hit very hard and even today 3 months later I still have a cough! So yes there really are some benefits with the vaccin!
  3. Not that uncommon that Thai criminals shave their heads and put on a robe and hide in temples! 😏
  4. The BiB just looking to collect some baht for the weekend drinking sessions at Soi 9! 😆 50 whores + 500 baht fine each = 25000 baht = 50 bottles of SaengSom! 🤣 Once fined they will all be released again and back working the coconut bar again tomorrow night! 😁
  5. My last vaccination(7th Pfizer/Biontech) was a year before my last trip Dec 2023, I should have had an 8th vaccination just before this trip Dec 2024, but didn´t bother as I thought I had enough protection already! 😏 I then read somewhere that the vax by Pfizer/Biontech lasts for 6 months only, so you must update with new vaccinations every 6 months to have a good protection. The trip before last 2023 I had my vax just a month before I went to Thailand, and although I did get Covid it only lasted for 4-5 days! So, I do think that because I didn´t get an updated vax for about one year, that made me much sicker when I caught again Covid this time! 🤒 Next year I will be sure to get a vaccination before I go back to Thailand!
  6. You mean it wasn´t Covid? I tested positive every time! This year I even did 3 tests to be sure, 2 nasal and one saliva, all showed positive for Covid-19. I also tested for Flu A & B, but was negative. Symptoms all consistent with Covid, only I didn´t get a stuffy and congested nose this time! Most symptomatic except constant fever and fatigue is the dryness of your mouth and throat and lack of taste and smell! You got that strange metallic taste in your mouth all the time making you loose your appetite, and kind of feel nauseous. Even today 2 months later my tongue and mouth still feels a bit dry, but my sense of taste is slowly coming back. I have become very sensitive to smells though, and can smell a person with deodorant from miles away!😆
  7. On my last three trips to Thailand I caught Covid every time! 🤒 Although I have been vaccinated 7 times, it didn´t help me much this year as I was bedridden for 4 weeks in Pattaya with constant fever, extreme fatigue and with dry mouth and throat I lost my taste as well! It developed into a dry cough that I still have today 2 months later! Last year I was only sick for 4-5 weeks, but this year much more severe!? My guess is it´s a new strain more potent and resistent against vaccinations!?
  8. I now know the names! First one is a Plain Prinia, second one a Burmese Shrike and last one a Brown Shrike!
  9. Went to Benjakitti Park in Bangkok a couple of days ago and got some photos of some for me new birdspecies that I need to know their names! Anyone know these ones? 😉
  10. Just a video showing direkt composite bonding, this is what I am looking for! 😁 Only a very skilled and experienced dentist can do this! To make it look so natural you must be like a sculptor! If you know a dentist in Pattaya or Bangkok that can perform this work of art... please let me know! 🙂
  11. Problem is that most street dogs in Thailand don´t have any owners! 😏
  12. I have been to Koh Mook back in the late 80s, and back then it had a predominantly muslim population and because of that no or very few dogs were allowed on the island as they are considered "unclean" by Islam! Nowadays most land has been bought up by buddhist mainland "investors", that has built hotels all over and brought their dogs with them and many has gone rouge and now roam "wild"! Koh Mook is a small island and the population of dogs is increasing, only answers are get the dogs off the island or cull them!
  13. Anyone know a good reputable cosmetic dentist/ place in Bangkok or Pattaya? Last few years my upper 6 front teeth have got a lot of chipped off pieces, as I´m getting older the enamel on my teeth gets thinner and the edges chips off easily! So, I am thinking of doing a make over next year in Bangkok or Pattaya. I have done some research and there seems to be 3 options of treatments: 1, Composite Bonding, quick and cheap, least intrusive as composite is used directly to fill in the chipped areas, though the filling might discolor after some time and short lifetime of about 2-3 years only, but it depends of the quality of the material used and the skills of the dentist. 2, Porcelain Veneers, more expensive and takes longer time as some molding is needed, most of the teeth is saved as the tooth only gets a new front facade, but longer lasting and more natural look. I think this method is mostly used with discolored or deformed teeth though? 3, Dental Crowns, the most intrusive as most of tooth is grind down and also takes a longer time as a new tooth/crown has to be made after a mold, but strongest and longest lasting with good natural look. I´m looking for a specialist Dentist that can do composite bonding and that has a good reputation with great credentials! Most cheap dental places in Thailand would probably do it if asked, but I am looking for a specialist in cosmetic dentistry with lots of experience. Maybe there are some dental clinics that specialize more on cosmetic dentistry? I know most dentists refuse to do composite bonding on chipped front teeth because the filling will not last long, but even if it only lasts 2-3 years it would still be worth it as it is so much cheaper and easier than the other options! Anyone that has done composite bonding or had porcelain veneers on front teeth in Bangkok or Pattaya? What was your experience? Plahgat
