I've lived in Thailand about 16 years, most of them in Pattaya. I've engaged in countless conversations with random people, of all ethnicities... and not once, ever did a stranger ask me to borrow money. Maybe it's just me?

I'd like a good 'Build your own' burrito place like they have in the lower west states in America. They usually serve other dishes, and you can sit inside, but service is walk through and fast. In Pattaya I love Taco House, Taco Taco and Mike's Mexican. But they are more dine in, family style restaurants. A guy who lives up the road from me put six bullets in his wife's head while she was sleeping. I was visiting their neighbors at the time and lots of cops and an ambulance showed up and took the body out. Two brand new Mercedes with high ranking cops (based on their uniforms) and draped in gold showed up and talked to the guy outside. The next day he was "on the run" and about 6 weeks later he was back home living in his building as if nothing happened. Prior to the incident he was very friendly and a great neighbor. The story never made it in the news. Also, did all those people in the photo have proof of double vaccines? I can't have a beer in a restaurant and have to be home by 9pm but angry Thai's are free to gather like this?? (Rhetorical question)

I read the OP but didn't bother reading all the replies so I apologize if this has been said or already recommended. Can you get close to the family? Try contacting the Aunt again as she has already helped you. The disabled Father and drunk Mother, how is your relationship with them? And the brothers? Who's "Side" would they be on? Possibly if you can rally the family to be on your side, in the best interest of the child, the wife will be easier to deal with.

What about the rich hotel owners found dead by the pool by their son and all CCTV cameras were out of order? (Krabi I think?) And the guy in Pattaya who shagged his GF off the balcony of the condo and went on the run?

Seems they didn't notice that Thailand is near the top of the list of places NOT to travel to around the world.

Hi, Yes I bought the exact one in your second photo there with the sliced oranges. I've had it for about a year and probably used it 20 times or so with different fruits and veggies. I can't believe how well it works for the price I paid, and I've never had a problem with it. I just wanted to experiment with it, thinking it was junk but if it worked for me I could buy a more expensive one later. As said, I don't use it everyday but for what I need it is a great purchase. My only complaint about it, is that it makes a big mess and is difficult to clean.
