I have made an investigation via Google and I have found no difference to the application form. AirTViptvshop is the site I use and have just checked. Different format to the one you displayed

Being a long time subscriber who is due to renew soon I will look into the problem as well as you. I would be lost without it!

So is mine. If you have been in the same job all your working life, even working for different companies, you could easily end up with about 12000 GBP a year state pension.
You have missed the point I was trying to make. Of course it is possible to get a 12000 pounds .But you would have to be living in the UK or.....?

British state pension is currently 12,000 pounds a year. I'm happy enough with that.
Lucky you. Mine is 4000 pounds. Can you explain the difference?

Not true. I just received my Wise card on my Thai address. Before concluding application for new card I was asked to which address I wanted to be send.
OK, but you say a new card. By that I assume you already had a card with a previous address whis was not in Thailand. A first card Wise tell me card cannot be for someone with a Thai address and no fixed address somewhere else in the world.

I am sure it If , for exais good but if you live in Thailand you cannot get one. if, for example, you have a home in the Uk then you can obtain a card there.

You could also try taking something over-the-counter to reduce the acid reflux, as it's a very common problem. The original medicine for this decades ago was Zantac (Ranitidine), but things have moved on and PPI's are widely used now, like Lansoprazole. They're not completely risk-free, so maybe talk to a doctor first, or at least to the pharmacist (some of them here seem smarter than some of the doctors, lol).
Suggest Miracid from Fascino. Works in 20 minutes

Crikey, I was wondering what happened to the 'STIG' now Top Gear was shut down.
Still very much around. Saw him on You Tube testing, and crashing, a car for Mat Armstrong.

Check out the Wise card. Never had a problem with it and exchange fees are one of the lowest.
Did you get your Wise card in Thailand?

Duodart is certainly available here. I live in Pattaya and it was out of stock for a few months last year. Fascino normally stocks it and I was using Bangkok Drugstore ,on line, when it was not available here. Many of the Pharmacies on Rama IV at its junction with Suriwongse also stock it. Prices range from 1400 to 1800-much cheaper than the hos[ital price.
Hope that helps.

How about the Auction Rooms? One in N. Pattaya and one in Soi Chaiyapreuk

It must have been intensely irritating. How much notice did they give you?
I don't fully get why these big banks which market themselves to British expatriates become so unreliable when British expatriates actually want to use their services. There must be many British expats who have no UK address but need the services of a UK bank eg to finance costs on visits back to the UK, receive pension and other payments, make payments to UK based contacts, service standing orders for health insurance etc etc.
They did give about 6 months notice. I managed to get a 3moth extension in view of the fact that I was visiting the UK for 10 days-that's long enough!. They did not tell me about the extension but have since been sending SMS's which cannot be replied to. So visiting the UK now will have to be with cash in hand. My Thai bank debit card needs a 6 digit PIN wheras UK cards need 4 digits. I was able to withdraw cash inside a Barclays branch office but the card was not appreciated at service areas on the M 4. Booking a Uber taxi is now impossible and so it goes on.

Do you mean you heard from Barclays having closed your account by your own decision?
No, by their decision. They are closing accounts of all overseas customers who do not have a UK address

If they have closed your account already no need to give them the info .
If they have not closed the account they need the info to record and allow share your account balance at 31st December with Thailand RD if requested so they are CRS compliant, but you have to declare Thai Tax residence to Barclays for that to happen I think.
Thank you. They say that if I do not reply they will give the Thai RD any information they have about me. On 31st Dec. my balance was 150 pounds; a week later 0 pounds. Nothing very interesting there for any RD !

If you are no longer a customer you are in my view under no obligation to give them any information.
Thank you.

Yesterday I received a notification from the bank in the UK, Barclays, that is closing my account, that I need to inform them about my Tax Residency status both in the UK and Thailand.
They state that the information they have about me suggests that I may be a tax resident of Thailand. They require Tax Identification numbers for both UK and Thailand. So Big brother is here!
As I am now no longer a customer of Barclays I do not feel obliged to give them any information. Any thoughts?

In Bangkok I would suggest Dr Viroj Chodchoy at Bumrungrad Hospital. I have been a patient of his for 15 years.

If the bank closes your account, then just open a Wise account. Problem solved.
Corect. This is what I have done. The only problem at the moment is that I cannot get an ATM Card with Wise-why?- because I live in Thailand! Round and round I go!

Why not use a tablet?

I am assured the use of a tablet will solve the problem of wanting a bigger device than a mobile. QAnd I am not so likely to lose it!

it would be a risk not getting it by writing them an email, unless I did it anonymously, ...... never mind.
Has anyone here got a WISE card in Thailand?
No-they tell me I am on the waiting list. At the moment Thailand is not on their list of countries for Cards.
