  2. I am with TOT since 4 years both here and bangkok and have proved to be the most reliable specially when it comes to breakdowns etc 350 baht a month for 4 mb download were else in the world would you pay that ?All the others promise and offer alll sorts of performances and services but have proven to be unreliable.

  3. Homeworks sells a 3 piece water filter unit which guarantees water purity to drinking ware standard, its a plastic unit with 3 big filters to place on the floor cost 13000 baht.Filters to be replaced all depending on usage frequency,

  4. the manager this morning told me they just had the tank cleaned on the roof. From what i understand so far the most practical solution is a filter that works,i have to investigate at the usual places .My condo is right up the hill behind Surakul stadium 2 minutes from central mall called the Green places a new complex still in construction on a small rock mountain.this is a nuissance.

  5. i live in a new 8 FLR condo, cant access tank "must be huge" will discuss this with manager tomorrow, see what he says about cleaning every 6 months. This is a real nuissance. The problem is washing again does'nt remove the stains. The big towel is spotted all over,i can still use it to go to the beach.

  6. Damned !!! this a big problem then.I ruined 2 T shirts 1 big towel 2 drying clothes 2 white bed cushion covers.Over a period of time i wont have anything left !! the only practical solution is to replace everything with sand color sheets towels shirts shorts etc. Africa Corps here i come.

  7. if you cant find it at Big C or Home pro "dont ask, look for it yourself" add 50% water 50% vinegar and boil for 20 minutes ,wash out residues with light scrubber,do this every 6 months.I have a kettle which has a programme for this, i just add the water and vinegar.

  8. hello,

I bought an electrolux waching machine from home pro when i moved here 7 months ago and today for the first time i emptied the machine and i was surprised to see all my laundry with yellow stains !!!! this never hapened before here in phuket.I went to Home pro with some samples and they came over an hour later and checked the machine found nothing no rusty parts filter ok etc they gave it a water rinse at 90 degrees and asked me to try again and report back .I washed again my laundry and alas the result is the same, the dirt wont come off.We did discuss a water issue and they said it is advisable to instal a water filter ,what are your experienses here in phuket, is this the reason or is it something else since i never had to do that in Bangkok for 3 years or back home in switzerland.

  9. i feel like a criminal from the lower end of society, reporting 90 days feels like probation and in 3 months time i go up for renewal and i already feel the heat We are financially self sufficient retirees, not dangerous criminals.this is middle ages scenario or maybe israel.

  10. hi,

i hve been living alone in this country for 4 years and counting and when i arrived i bought my first thai cooking books in english while in bangkok during my first year ,they were very good easy to follow books with images etc i had never heard before of galangal, kafir leaves, lemon grass etc fish sauce and so on and i am now expanding my knowledge and recipies even further and enjoying them tremendously so i wish to know were do you go to discuss anything to do with thai cooking such as markets ,were to find this and that, which is better and so on in english language.

  11. to report by mail while living on the island is ridiculous unless you are incapacitated, thats different. It takes me 10 minutes on my scooter to get there and you wont wait more than 5 minutes, now compare that to bangkok !!!so what happens when you apply for a reentry visa if you have to fly out and back again and you have missed the reporting day?

  12. how much is the fine for not reporting at all for 12 months ? i hate reportiing i feel like a convict on parole.if some here think its a hassle reporting then try living in bangkok.
