    The German guy was a member of the Outlaws MC . I know these bikers go nuts if anyone touches their bikes so i can imagine this had something to do with the speed the incident descended into violence

    Can anyone verify he was a member? If true these 3 teenagers might have extra problems.

    I took the tyre back and had to wait for 1 week for the boss to return from BKK to inspect the tyre... after he inspected the tyre the staff said they could not raise him on the phone (they never even tried), so being a bit more than hacked off I asked for my tyre back and told them I was going to send it to Bridgestones in BKK, with the most gormless stupid face expression , the fool with no teeth says "ooowwww I put outside for rubbish and someone take" well to say I went into a strop is being nice I told him in worldwide language "that's my fuc###g tyre not yours and I fuc###g want it back" with plenty more expletives included, all their dumb arse expressions now looking a little more serious, then a girl appeared out of the office and said ok come monday I hab new tyre, I thought I was being fobbed off but decided to get out of there as I was starting to get very abgry,,, went back Monday and low and behold there was my new tyre... result

    on tyres there is 4 numbers 2 for the week and 2 for the year EX: 2211 week 22 year 2011

    I remember when I first came here meeting a Swede who was wearing an Iron Cross because he though it was funny. I exploded at him about that it not one of my finest moments.:(

    I saw him the next day and he was no longer wearing it. maybe he got my message.

    Nazi paraphernalia is tolerated in Thailand because this country did not suffer much from WWII. If they'd lost 25 million people like the Soviet Union did for example, they would have been wearing different sort of uniforms.

    Sweden was "neutral" in WW 2. There is zero tolerans to anything to do with nazis or their symbols....

    Not true. I wear a grey Waffen SS wendejacket without markings during the winters in Sweden. Nothing ilegal about that. Why do I wear it? Its warm and nice looking, infact no one can guess that it is a military jacket.

    I think he may be thinking of another country as Holocaust denial is not illegal in Sweden.

    Remember, these were just kids with costumes and plastic machine guns right?

    Just like western kids might dress like ninjas or samurais.

    would it be different if they dressed as Japanese suicide pilots? or Napoleontic armymen? Or American bomber pilots?

    Whose history matters most?

    This nazi-stigma and the perpetuation of guild-feelings is not part of Thai history and very rightly so. That's why perhaps only the expat parents at school took offence.

    The past is the past in Thailand (that's why their historians suck) and perhaps we should learn from that.
