  1. I would have to say Sumet Cycle Honda on Prachachuen Rd. in Bang Khen. My wife and I own and manage it. I'm American, so I like to think I can speak English. My wife is Thai but studied overseas and speaks perfect English. I'm new to the business, but my wife has been doing it for years.

Our mechanics are all skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. We will always make it clear to them what your problem is and exactly what you need done.

We also provide hassle free financing with great interest rates to foreigners.

We are part of a family run network of dealers, so we also sell and can provide financing for Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Vespa.

You can check out our Honda site at www.hondasumetcycle.com or visit our Facebook page at Sumet Cycle Company to see other bikes.

Check out www.akecycle.com for Vespas. (sorry, no English version yet, but great photos)

  2. I picked this up at Honda Airport the other day. Guy told me they had more stuff coming next week. like the one for covering the gas cap. He said it was mostly for the 250's, but that most of it could also be used on the 150's. 350 baht

There was still one gas cap protector on display when we bumped into each other there last weekend, someone probably beat you to it. I felt really bad when I found out they had the tank guards for sale there and they were actually cheaper than the Progrip one I brought from Fast Corner.

They also had a few carbon parts, and aluminum bits on display in the waiting area beside the service center .

No big deal. I can pick one up next week, and see what else they have that might have come in. The only problem with the carbon & aluminum parts in the display cases is that most of the time they only have part number, but don't actually tell you what bike it's for. lol

There are accessory brochures for both the 150 and 250. Some of the stuff can go on either bike, and some of it is model specific. They might not have enough to give out to customers, but they should have a copy for you to look at. The prices are quite reasonable as well.

  3. actually i thought that it was a bit high... was wondering how to change that..

On the way home tonight I played around with my foot positioning. I found that it seems best with the heel of your foot on the peg. Before, I would ride with the peg at the center of my foot. Using the rear brake seemed easier and less awkward.

  4. Brian (Sumet) is or would your company think about renting out the Cbr250's.

I would have thought that would be fairly lucrative as you can rent in Pattaya and CM but there are NO companies offering this service in BKK for 250cc bikes.

    Regards Allan

    Hello Allen,

We only sell at the moment, but perhaps rentals might be possible in the future. I'll look into it and let you know. You could always avoid the rental fee and take an "extra long" test ride, lol. Thanks for the advice.

Ok in which case can i book an extra long test ride from Feb 26- March 5.. ok. But NO red bikes please (very unlucky)

Let's see, the average test ride takes 20 minutes. I'll put you down for 576 consecutive test drives. That's a hell of a test drive, so you better buy one when finished, whether you like the bike or not. Yeah, what's with the unlucky red bikes? My wife made me get the black CBR for that very reason. Although, there might be something to it, as I crashed and almost killed myself on a red Airblade last year.

  6. Hey guys, who can tell me on what details I can make out its a ABS version or a normal version???unsure.gif

on kwaker they use different discs, as abs has a pattern in disc center for abs sensor to check if wheel is rotating or not. and you can see the sensors outside this part of the disc. and the electric wires to sensors

and an electric fuse for abs (under seat). abs electronic box probably behind fairing

The ABS version will have a "combined ABS" sticker on the front fender as well.

  7. Test rides are now available for the CBR 250 w/ ABS at Sumet Cycle in Nonthaburi.

We sell this model for 130,000 baht. This price includes registration, third person insurance, a jacket, and a Nippon helmet.

    Financing for foreigners is available:

With a Thai guarantor, the minimum down payment is 39,000 baht, with an interest rate of 1.25%. Financed over two years, your payments would be 4,930 baht per month.

Without a Thai guarantor, the minimum down payment is 49,000 baht, with an interest rate of 1.00%. Financed over two years, your payments would be 4,185 baht per month.

Contact Brian @ 081-919-8570 if interested.

Not bad rates for a Honda dealer. I'd still rather bend over and take a red hot poker, but maybe that's just me. When will Honda catch up and start offering finance through a bank like Kawasaki?

We have our own financing company here at Sumet Cycle. We could have foreign customers apply for financing at Krungsri or other banks that offer motorcycle financing. However, there is a lot more paperwork and red tape involved for foreigners. Our interest rates are the same as Krungsri and other banks/financing companies.
