  1. Ok guys... My visa extension experience..

So it took me a day and a half to do it.

I thought I had everything BUT CLEARLY NOT.. Hahahaha

    My Mistakes:

1 - Real photos needed to be pasted onto A4 paper not printed on.

2 - Tabien Baan: since I live with my wife's family the Tabien Baan needs to be signed by the owner the house plus photocopies of his/her ID signed as well, plus you need to get a letter which needs to be filled out by the owner of the house stating he/she is really the owner, signed as well

3 - Witness: your neighbor needs to come with you on your first time applying. Your neighbor also needs to bring with him/her their ID AND TABIEN BAAN.

4 - Photos - I had to take from inside the bedroom, house number, in the lounge and also the whole house...you and your partner present in every picture.

5 - New passport - if you have a new passport, you will need to make photocopies of your old passport like of your visa and stamp corresponding to the date you legally got married.

6 - TM.7 form - I printed it out by myself and filled it out but what I did wrong was print it out on 2 pages instead of back and front in 1 piece of paper.

7 - Bank Statement - My fixed deposit bank account is set up that the money has to stay in for min 5 months before any transactions can be done, so what this means is that no depositing or withdrawing can take place during the 5 months( my money has been in for 4 months). Immigration is going to want you to deposit money into the bank on the same day so that when you update your book everything can be shown. BUT my account won't allow me to deposit so in a case like this your will need to get a Bank Statement from the bank showing your updated passbook.

So ya what a Monday I had.. Managed to finish everything Tuesday morning.

    Hope this helps someone

And again really appreciate your guys help.

  2. My Siam Commercial Bank that I deposited my 400 000 baht in two and a half months ago is on my way to the Ayutthaya Imm.. So it's set tomorrow my wife will get the updated version for the KR 2. then Monday I will go to that bank to get my Bank Book updated and the letter stating my funds and I'm off to Imm.. The only thing let for me to do now is take those photos where I live and draw that map

  3. Hi guys

I am going to extend my Non O on Monday and I'm stressing out a bit.

I need help with 2 things.

1.Could someone please give me an updated list of the required documentation need for applying please.

    2. I live in Ayutthaya so where do I go to apply for my first Non O 1 year extension. Chaengwattana or Ayutthaya?

Oh yes I already have 400 000 baht in my Thai bank for over two months already.

Would really appreciate the help guys

    Thanks a million

  4. Hey man.. I am a south African too. I was told to do the Toeic test in order for me to obtain a work permit. This is Thailand man and it is only getting harder and harder for "non native" speakers, so it is always helpful and wise to get as much documents as possible.. Hahaha. The Toeic test is extremely easy, you don't have to study for it

  5. Hey gbob you are without a doubt the MAN. I am currently sitting on a bus waiting to go back to Bangkok from Mukdahan. I just came from Suvannakhet today and managed to obtain a one year multiple entry Non O visa. This is my first time going to Suvannakhet and I can't tell you how many times I read your piece. I followed it word by word and everything workout smoothly. The only sad part was that I got on the 8:30am bus to go to Suvannakhet from Mukdahan bus station, so I was in a bit of a panic state. But fortunately I managed to get to the embassy before 11. The documents I had was my original marriage certificate with one copy, My wife's ID and passport copies, a copy of the house registration book, a copy of my passport. That's all I handed in and the only question the guy at the embassy asked was "do you want a single entry or multiple entry?" I said multiple and paid the 5 000 baht. It was soooooooooo easy.

Thanks again gbob. Really appreciate it

  6. Hahahaha no man it's not like that... I have a work permit till the end of march next year for that school. I've been working there for a while now.. They said they will pay me for the 10 days so i suppose it's not a big deal since I have nothing to do during this october holiday... I have always failed students throughout my time at this school but it seems that this semester even the thai teachers are getting their heads blown off by the directors about their own students failing. So now they want me to pass them all so everyone can be happy...

  7. Hey guys....

Another thing is that all thai students pass at the end of every semester. I just got a Phone call today saying that I will have to go back to school tomorrow till the 10th of October, because some of my students that failed for reasons like showing up to class maybe 4 or 5 times out of the semester, I will have to re-test them so that they can pass. Mind you my contract finished on the 30th of September already. Anyway got to do what you got to do.. Bite the bullet.....hahahahahaha
