I live in Thailand on a PE Visa and am Tax Resident in Thailand and in Norway (because they say I can stay in my childrens property). I use Wise for my Pension Payments from Norway and the UK and I have to date not received any notifications About what is covered here. I have however just noticed that the address on my Wise Bank Statements has changed from one in London to this one in Thailand: Wise Payments (Thailand) Limited 999/9, The Offices at Central World, Common Ground Zone, G Floor, Unit C08, Rama I Road, Pathumwan Bangkok 10330 Thailand

In my opinion there is no Christmas atmosphere here however we do try and make the most of it including eating out in Fuji and Korean resteraunts great food and lovely girls, listening to Christmas songs by Frank Sinatra, Slade, Chris Rea, etc. We always put a Christmas Tree up with lights and have presents. We celebrate Norwegian Christmas on the 24th and UK Christmas on the 25th. Why the Norwegians celebrate on the 24th instead of the 25th I have no Idea? Thanks once again to all members for comments. Just before I intended to send the forms to Norway I sent a photo copy of the documents by email to my Pension Provider and to my amazement they confirmed that the documents had been received and are being registered and that I dont need to send in the Post. I was quite suprised and glad for this. Good luck to all with your Life Certificates

Many thanks to all Members for comments. We went first today to the local Amphur Office and they said that they can stamp, sign and date the Life Certificate but that we must first get the Form translated (English and Norwegian text) into Thai. I didnt ask about certifying my Passport Copy. After this we decided to go to the Main Udonthani Police Station and they directed us to the Udonthani Immigration Office. At the Udonthani Immigration Office the Lady who normally does my yearly PE Visa Extension stamped signed and dated the Life Certificate Form but said that she could not certify my Passport Copy and recommended we contact the Embassy in Bangkok. I had to pay 1000 for this. We then went to a local Notarius Publicus Lawyer Office that we have used before and they said they could certify the Passport Copy for 5000 and then after I said no dropped the price to 3000 and then again to 2000 which I agreed to pay. Other Lawyer Offices have previously quoted 3000. Tomorrow will go to the Post Office and send it. So all in all we nearly used the whole day for this and paid 4000 just because thieves have been claiming pensions illegally amazing

I am a British Citizen but I worked in Norway for 32 years so I receive pensions from Norway also because of the Tax Treaty with Thailand I get all my tax paid back from Norway every year. I have been requested by one of my Norwegian Private Pension providers to get a Life Certificate signed and stamped by a Government Authority in Thailand with example Authorities included as a Post Office or the Police. Just wondering if any Members have any experience of using the Immigration Police or the Post Office for such a purpose. Many thanks in advance for any help.

I am certainly not suprised that your lost mudguard was found as Dowsing can be used for very many things it just needs Faith and confidence. All of the very many Dowsers I have met use their Spirit Guide(s) to help them some go even higher and ask Jesus to help them and some even higher and ask God (were nothing is impossible). I use Dowsing for very many things including but not limited to Healing, clearing of Negative energjes, checking the safety of travel, research and much more. I understand peoples sceptism as we are not taught about this for various reasons. Dowsing has helped me and my wife in all areas of our lives considerably and still does. Thank you for correcting a 30 year old spelling mistake

I am an experienced Pendelum Dowser of more than 30 years (still learning) retired and living in Thailand and am interested in contacting other Dowsers who have the same hobby or others who are genuinely interested in learning Dowsing or improving existing Dowsing skills. The practice of Dowsing is thousands of years old. I use Dowsing very successfully for improving the quality of all areas of my life and for getting information, etc. I have attached a photo of the Pendelum that I use for Dowsing however just about anything that can spin will work. Approximately 6 weeks ago when getting out of my car in a hurry I foolishly banged the right side of my head very hard on the upper trim of the car door opening and it really hurt. As a result of this my neck was very stiff and painfull especially when sleeping. I informed my Rheumatoid Doctor about this and she said I did not need an X-Ray and recommended massage, anti-inflammatory gel, pain killers and physiotherapy which I tried and it helped a little. After the above event I still felt really rough and so bad that I admitted myself to Wattana because of Fever. The blood test results indicated elevated blood suger levels (pre-diabetes range never had this before) and infection or inflammation. Further blood culture tests showed no infection. After 1 night stay I felt slightly better the fever had gone and was discharged as tbe Insurance would only pay for 1 night. I still however had recurring symptoms of feeling very rough and especially at night which disturbed my sleep very badly. I suffered for about 2 weeks with the above symptoms and was so worried that I admitted myself once again into Wattana however this time all tests were normal except elevated blood suger readings in the pre-diabetes range. As all tests were considered normal by my Insurance Company they refused to pay and I wasted approx 17000THB (normal cost was approx 24000). I nave studied on a hobby basis for the last 30 years about how the body works also alternatve medicine and had been taught that the Cranial Bones, Facial Bones and tbe Sphenoid Bone can be misaligned and that this can cause healtb disturbances and I believe this. I decided to check the alignment of my Cranial Bones, Facial Bones, Cervical Joints and Sphenoid Bone and found misalignments in some of the Cervical Joints, some of the Facial Bones and the Sphenoid Bone and had these re-aligned. After the above I felt considerably better and my blood suger readings went back to normal from the Pre-Diabetes range. It is my personal opinion that the Sphenoid Bone misaligment which holds the Pituitary Gland caused my Endocrine System to be out of balance and caused elevated blood suger and other imbalances causing me to feel rough. I am posting this information here about my personal experience and opinions of healing of my Whiplash injury in the hope that others with similar issues may benefit from my experience. I have a Thai Elite PE Visa and am now on my 2nd 5 year Visa so I will bear this in mind when my renewal comes up in 2029 although I realise many things can change between now and then. A hearty congratulations to you on getting this finally sorted.

I had the same problem for the first time as mentioned by the person that started this Post for an amount around 45000 THB which has now been referenced by Bangkok Bank as "Deposit/Transfer via e-Channels" instead of the normal "International Transfer" I have no idea why. I dont need to show Immigration my bank accounts however I do need show the tax office so I will print out the Wise transfer documents that clearly show under the reference Section PENSION TO LIVE ON IN THAILAND.

My DWP pension was stopped earlier this year and I had to call them as to why, they said that they had sent me a proof of life certificate however this had not been recieved before they stopped my payments. Fortunately I was able to convince them over the phone that I was still alive and they restarted it. The Life Certificate arrived about 2 weeks later just amazing.

Many thanks to all Members for comments. I receive two pensions from the UK one is a State Pension from the DWP and the other is a Private Pension from Legal & General from when I was employed in the UK. After further research my conclusions are that my Thai wife will receive nothing from the DWP and will receive a reduced pension from Legal & General. I receive 3 pensions from Norway one is a State Pension from NAV and the other two are Private Pensions from Nordea Liv from when I was employed in Norway. After further research my conclusions are that my Thai wife will receive nothing from NAV the State Pension and will receive two reduced pensions from Nordea Liv. This will fortunately be enough for her to live on without problems but is considerably less than what she could have got had the Norwegian Government not stopped her right for a widows pension. I have now written down what she needs to do in the event of my demise before her. I have also written down what I need to do in the event that she dies before me.

I am a British Citizen retired and living in Thailand for many years with my Thai wife. I receive UK State Pension paid every 4 weeks to my Wise Account and this is then transferred into my Thai Bank account when needed. My question is if I die before my wife will my Thai wife be eligible for all or part of my UK State Pension. I did try and research this online however this was inconclusive. Many thanks in advance for any help.

Well each to there own in what one believes and does but in my case paying approx 7000 THB each year to Thailand and getting back approximately 90000 THB each year from the Tax Authorities in Norway seems to me that I am a very bright bulb.

My UK Pensions are already included together with my Norwegian Pensions and subject to tax in Thailand

No earned income in Thailand I only recieve pension from UK abd Norway

I provided them with copies of the Will, Death Certificates, and all documents showing transfer of the money from the COOP in the UK who handled the Will to Norway and then to Thailand via WISE. I also gave them a copy of the Thai Law Document stating that Inheritance money is tax free up to about 100 million cant remember the exact figure. Will payments from the COOP in the UK, Danske Bank Norway and WISE were shown as Inheritance. Evreything was shown as International Transfer on my Bangkok Bank Statements so I had to specially mark the three transfers that were Inheritance. Quote

Hello thats great new for you I still recommend if you have not already done so that you contact the Thai Tax authorities and get them to confirm whether you need to fill out a Thai Tax form or not just to be on the safe side. I get the Thai Tax Office to fill out my Tax Return every year and I also get a Certificate of Residence and Income Tax Paid Certificate from them (free of charge) and I use a Scandinavian Tax Law Office in Thailand to send these in to the Norwegian Tax Authirities and it functions great.
