  1. In Mai-Pen-Rai-Land it is normal that safety is only a 6-letter word - nothing more nothing less. I can always see the workers to wear slippers (no safety shoes), no gloves, no boiler suits, no helmits. Then ladders are never secured. Starnge looking caffold are broken - not secured for sure. No safety surveyor looking after workers...This is what you will get. Look to the Norther Europe to see and LEARN what safety is!

Sad thing that will unfortunately happen many times in the future too, since no strong punnishment to the companies ever given. Labor force is cheap there so who cares...

  2. Thailand was the world's brothel. It´s so wrong to say so - I have lived over 3 years in Pattaya, 2 years in Bangkok and 4 years in Phuket and have never ever seen anything else except Temples and Monks - yeah right. It´s so strange that all my friends from other countries are always talking about Thai prostitutes - I always have to say that is legend - there is really only Temples and Monks and good food take it or leave it :-) . If there are prostitutes in Thailand (which I have never seen.....) why Thai gov doesn´t take it away? Too good business? Seems like only Nathee and me haven´t seen Thai prostitutes ever :-) .

  3. Isn't it amazing that so many comments already criticise Thai standards. If you don't like it, here's an idea: go home. THIS is pretty normal Thais´s fix to everything "Go Home". Soon we will have more this kind of happenings - they never really fix the problem, because the quickist way to fix it is to say "Go Home If You Don´t Like It" - UNBELIEVABLE fix! Just waiting when those 40-story buildings are in fire - maybe 2 to 3 at the same time...and there are definitely no good plans to extinguish them. You are right - better stay at home, but still mising Thai food and those fruits - they are HIGH CLASS IN TASTE licklips.gif .

  4. In Thailand there are crazy penalties (especially for farangs) when traffic accidents happens. So better escape. Here in Scandinavia proplem comes only if you escape. Here you don´t need to pay million Bahts so that´s why we don´t need to escape....But when Farangs cause accident that farang is doomed to life time + have to pay millions....If Thai causes taht he gets a lot less penalty - fair as usually. These kind of accidents keep happening all the time due to their Kamikaze driving style sad but true.

  5. Fool´s errand to send a letter... I would give you Australia and part of Europe if things would change any better better from Farangs´s point of view - OK I could promise you the Earth and some planets too as it´s complete impossible that anti Farnag land would make farangs life easier - it just getting tougher day by day. See, even 3 month visa is so damned tough to get now a days compared 10 years ago - not even mention the marriage visa.....

Singapore is a lot easier place to stay - and less rubbish on the streets too :-)

  6. And the news here is? This is just one of those millions horror stories about Thai cops what they have done - and more on the way - you will see if you don´t believe in me. The funny thing is that when you are in an emergency and you would need a police, then do you really dare to call a Thai cop´s help? I don´t - I´m frankly not that brave....Poor countries´s problem are low paid officials - they have guns and the power in their angry bodies and they do what they want - very sad and DANGEROUS....Better stay at home.

  7. Be careful not to be bitten because there was no serum available in Thailand at present to counteract their venom. UNBELIEVABLE - they keep those killers and have no serum available. Mai Pen Rai - who cares, there are already too many people in Thailand....In the West, if you have such you also must have serum in case of things go bad, but in the ASIA the life doesn´t cost any. Only good snake is a dead snake!

  8. Can you now finally feel what we Farangs feel when we are over charged ? We know the proper price, but we can´t do anything. Once we are there, we don´t have options except accept to be over charged. Then you usually say you don´t need to come here. Well, I can say you now that you don´t need to live there with flood too, you can travel elsewhere...Now you just got your own medicine - hope you enjoy it... I wish you learned the lesson about this, so don´t overcharge Farangs if you can´t accept to be overcharged too - we feel exactly same as you. Really pissed off paying multiple prices compare Thais. Remember that only few Farangs are rich and they don´t come to Thailand they stay elsewhere. And one thing more, I´ve seen some rich Thais too using Mercedes 600 S cars - are you overcharging them like Farangs too - I don´t think so.

Good luck - and treat Farangs like Thais too, otherwise that is discrimination.

  9. And why to change the rules at least once or twice a week? Because they want to make you criminal to charge you with a big penalty. And yes, you will lose the case - it´s entirely your fault if you didn´t contact the Thai government to check out today´s rules. Today the rule is this and tomorrow it´s something else. What is something else? Well it´s always twice worse than yesterday´s rules - that´s the rule of big finger. Needles to say that such kind of Anti-Farang attitude cause tourists to feel pissed off and then they go elsewhere - like pure, safe and beautiful Singapore, where is never any problem for tourists or any one, except for criminals.

  10. Change from the most famous sex spot to a family spot ? It´s impossible indeed. You should first remove all millions brothels and bars away before it could turn to a family spot. This means fighting with mafia and corrupted officers / high position people. This will never happen . All my friends in Europe they call Thailand as the place of all sluts - and for the very good reason. That Pattaya is AMAIZING for tourists - never seen such many bar girls. Commercial sex all around - no matter where you turn your head...Just try to be realistic, please.

  11. Nuclear Power Plant in Mai Pen Rai Country :blink::blink:???? The most scaring news I ever heard!! Why are they for a god´s shake planning such now that Germany and Japan are getting rid of those deadly plants?? Seems like Thai leaders are looking for the BIG BIG BIG TROUBLE....This means that Farangs are soon selling very cheaply their property away - we don´t wanna die of radiation. And no Farangs come there for holiday - you will be on your own if you really start to build them. And secondly, where are you gonna jettison the used radiating fuel? Into the Chao Praya River, maybe (I wouldn´t wonder at all )?

    VERY Worried Farang.

Nuclear + a rich country = Scaring damned scaring!

Nuclear + a poor country = Oh my god - I´ll be nocking on the heaven´s door!

  12. I always go to enjoy the Thai culture in Pattaya - I´ve been participating that Thai culture in Pattaya for the last 25 years. And it has never disappointed me :D. I always can find new things in that culture. Wish there would be Thai culture in my country too - so no beed to get to Pattaya to see that rare culture :D. And yes - Russians are noisy folk. And only members of Russian mafia can afford to have a holiday in Thailand - so don´t make them angry with you, otherwise you will find yourself on the bottom of the Chao Praya river with your feet in cement ...

    Farang Leh-Uh

  13. We don´t call Thailand a democracy country at all. Why people can joke on me and say whatever they want to me and I can´t do anything? Because that´s normal life - better get used to that... Such kind of "special rights" belongs to the year of 1800 - not to the current year we are living in....So childish to arrest anyone for saying / writing something that someone doesn´t like. Say or write back to the guy, if it makes you angry - there is no need to go to jail nor court....
