Yes, I want someone primarily to take the headache out of importing a car. Again, I'm aware of the taxes involved. I'm looking for an importer that can do the leg work, and handle the taxes when it arrives in port.

I can source the vehicle, but am also interested in an importers contacts in the Japanese car market.

How long does it take to get a work visa from the Saudi Embassy in Bangkok? I've tried phoning them but nobody answers the phone.

I have been offered a position with a large engineering and construction company in Saudi. I have been told that I need to go to London to process for the visa but I'm hoping that I can do it here in Bangkok, as I haven't been back to the UK for more than 10 years.

Does anybody know of a company or agent that provides an attestation service for college certificates?

IMHO Songthaew drivers probably account for at least 30% of the RTA's in Chiang Mai. They all have one thing in common, they are bl**dy useless drivers, majority of which don't have a driving licence or insurance, TIT...

They quoted me 1,400 baht for a month.

Perhaps it was a simple electrical fault... A dealer told me that the BMW's / Merc's have so much technology, that as soon as the computer detects something is wrong it shuts down the engine...

The new place on Mee Chok (near the coffee bus) does a great job, I spilt some oil the other week and took it there, they cleaned the car inside and out as well as the engine bay. The engine was spotless after they had finished. It took about an hour and was only 400thb for the lot. Very good service. Ive taken the truck back now on 3 more occasions for just the inside and outside cleaned.

How much is the car wash for outside / inside....

The Chiangmai governor has no credibility at all. Not only is he not elected according democratic rules, this person went out of his way to let everyone believe the deaths were natural. He is in no position to take the lead. Unfortunately all politicians are camera horny and have no shame. Although they made themselves completely ridiculous one day, they claim the high ground the next day. Just as the governor the Chiangmai police has precisely the same problem.

The governor is probably a family friend of the owners of the hotel, so he's hardly likely to rock the boat....
