  1. love the smug contented grin on his face. Strutting around like a peacock thinking to himself who care about or what these stupid Burmese think. if we want to stich someone up on murder charges we will. He is so proud of the job his police have done and rewarded them for their corruption.

You're giving hime too much credit. If anything he's thinkg "What kind of som tam today?"

  2. What PC bologna. Tigers and dolphins are not what's important in life at all, but everyone is saying they should be...really...like any of us has ever eaten a dolphin or fried tiger gonads. Sure, let's all do what we're told and nod our heads at the appropriate moments.....like that makes life better for us or the animals concerned. What drivel and utter crap. No. I refuse to be a robot for BS arguments. All the PETA idiots can now go back to patting each other on the back and being successful at trying to censor all debate under the cloying blanket of false altruism. Congratulations -- you stifled free expression better than Stalin ever did -- and for all the right reasons too. I protest. I disagree, and I I hate anyone who mouths such platitudes. The quotes are from people who make their living from being spokespersons for correctness, and they, themselves contribute nothing -- a last cull of such conservation nuts found that not a single one had ever made a cash donation to the causes they rant about...I guess the logic is "I get paid to do this, why should I contribute? I'm your hero -- you pay me."

Yeah, right. It is all minimalist BS aimed to make people feel like they are doing something. Raising awareness does not tie a baby's shoes.

I don't eat sentient animals, including dolphins and whales and primates. But roast some mutton, beef or chicken and I am there with no guilt. I am not accepting guilt for being an omnivore. No way, no how, and piss off with the pseudo-religious arguments.

I like being human, with all of it's contradictions and difficulties...but push comes to shove, if the choice is my little girl or the one-eyed barfing beetle...the beetle has to go. Get over it -- thaat's never going to change. Ever. And not for any of the hypocrits bleating to save all cute animals either.

Animal rights actrvists never care about human beings, that's too complicated, so they latch onto the easiest and most socially lazy approach altogether and embrace the new pastoral conceit,

Blah! We should all puke...and then eat some more beef (maybe vomitoriums are needed now more than ever).

What are you toking? I want some

  3. I think long story short, I want to buy a motorbike from a couple who bought the motorbike from Vietnam. They have the blue papers, looks like true offical docs from Viet owner transfering the bike to new owner plus a signed and stamped vietnamese contract. My question is How do I register it in Thailand? Or is it possible? The bike is legally in Thailand now, (Chiang Mai). Also, I work as a teacher and have valid Non-Imm B visa and a valid work permit. I've searched, but no luck. THANKS TOO MUCH

  4. Question might be, what are you going to do next time no.1 goes away for a while? Guess you would prefer to have this one back as you know she is good at her job. So, I would pretend not to notice she is pissed, and let her know you will be giving her a nice tip on her last day (keeping the amount to yourself) and that you will keep her number if things change or if you need her again. Then on the last day, at the end of it, give her 2k extra (that's more than enough!). She'll then be good up until the last minute (as she will not want to risk losing the tip) and happy with the severance and note that she may get the job at some point later.

Checkmate! That's a pretty good idea

  5. Depends who he knows, its unlikely to hold water as he already agreed etc and inspected and returned the deposit.

So, nothing there in a reasonable world.

BUT this is Thailand, its a roll of the dice sometimes, my advice would be to let it play out first, see where it goes, if he does go to the Police and makes a formal complaint, you will get chance to put your point if you have someone Thai to speak for you.

Just let it play out and dont panic.

    I agree, good advice.

But I'd definitely want to see the bill and damaged furniture. and maybe a translated copy of the rental agreement as there may be some rules about deposits and moving out. good luck

  6. I was broken into about 3 or 4 times a year ago this month, in Lampang. He was a crafty one as he had to climb up to the balcony and pry open the wood around the door.

The thief took anything of value, computer and guitar. The strange thing was that it was always during the day while I was teaching at school. I asked my neighbors, all retired, if they heard or saw anything. Nothing. It was broad daylight in a fairly busy neighborhood. He hauled off a laptop and a guitar, amongst other things. Landlord is a retired couple that lived next door. It didn't add up to me.

So, that's the experience. Hope it helps

  7. Don't get this, why for starters do they think the (woman) was trying to abduct ??? and being on a ferry did she flee the scene ???? we have to assume the woman was a Foreigner ??? and she was not apprehended on board???? the lady was seated 10 or so meters away ???? but must have been beamed up after being unsuccessful in her attempt ----if the WOMAN was blond and sunglasses on--could it have been a man in drag ????? all sounds a bit vague half a story ???

  8. They haven't prepared jack s*, I don't think PTP or gov't officials are even capable of seeing the whole scope of things; especially, say if they totally killed the dollar, depending on the rothschilds, morgans' decision to one day let it all go; 17 trillion and climbing.

At least it isn't "shutdown" but just cut out places and operations not making much...the police & army sure aren't shut down!

Better get back to their micro level flood management first, since they fail and even the most basic, predictable things year after year.

I wonder if their lack of understanding and preparedness might mean Thailand won't be so drastically affected if the dollar goes really bust. Maybe it's finger isn't in the pie so deeply.
