  1. An article in The Times of India dated 16 Feb reveals that India's National Security Guard was not allowed to investigate the "bombed" Israeli embassy car for "diplomatic reasons". Why would the Israelis not want the Indian counter-terrorism police to investigate the evidence of a bomb attack in New Delhi? The Times also reported that India has "no proof" to blame Iran.

did you see the news clips of the forensic "experts", i saw one take a swab from the vehicle, smell it then throw it on the floor. maybe they just did not want anybody spoiling the evidence

  2. Why not find out about it then. Google 'Israels nuclear weapons' Please let us know what you find....Or are you a total skeptic about everything.

You're off topic here. Move on.

Funny how you always make that call when it gets too difficult. Don't you tire of blindly supporting a Government that the majority of the world knows is doing wrong, or is your need to support minority groups now so overwhelming that in your eyes they can do no wrong? The Israeli government do not give two hoots about the USA or its citizens, it has shown it in the past and it will show it again in the near future.

The future being election year in the US (2012) Israel knows the US wont go with attacking Iran right now, they also know that if they attack Iran then the US will HAVE to back Israel, therefore an attack on Iran is almost a certainty! The US-UK and allies will be drawn into a conflict, maybe Russia &China too! Bring it on...??

the uk for sure we need the US, just in case Argentina try to take the Falklands , and now the UK and France have new military understanding, funnily since yesterday

  3. As they do not have nuclear weapons yet, it would be rather difficult to use them. Let,s hope the situation stays that way.

I would not be surprised if the Iranians did possess something. They have been at this for over a decade. It is not as if they built a nuclear power grid in the interim. I am of the belief that one of the reasons western nations and Israel are trying to downplay to immediate risk is that they have no way of coping with it. An acknowledgement of a clear and imminent threat would require an immediate intervention that runs the risk of becoming a massive conflict fast.It could see attacks on western capitals, panic in the EU and the usual cowardice in the face of threat and the near destruction of Israel, and perhaps the destruction of key Gulf State energy suppliers. China and India would lose their most important energy supplier and would face a crisis and Russia would see further violent unrest from its muslim populace. As such, it is in everyone's best interest to deny the most likely scenario. No one really has a workable solution that would be acceptable to all parties. And so no one can let go of the tiger's tail. The situation is far worse than the general public thinks and the worlld's governments don't know what to do. The only thing everyone agrees on is to play for time and hope for the best.

Nice statement and very true! Just someone please tell Israel that Iran is 1-3 years from developing a nuke (if they are indeed pursing to have a nuke) and any attack on Iran will have dire consequences in the region and indeed the world, a pre-emptive strike is one hell of a gamble to play.

the world news says, the pre emptive strike talks are at a fever pitch, warships are going through the suez, i think its a done deal, its just a question of tiime

  4. Some posters whole purpose is to distort facts and try provide cover for Islamic terrorists and enemies of the USA. Don't expect logic from these types.

Why are some posters getting so defensive? It seems that this post hit a nerve.

if thats your main aim is to upset and insult people, then i will get you hooked up with my mother in law jerk.gif

What a very silly person. So now because I disagree with you I am 'covering for islamic terrorists and enemies of the USA' I never realised there was an under 5's forum on Thai Visa, now hop along back there and take your offensive personal attack with you.

this either you are with us or against us attitude, is getting rather boring

  6. All governments are about power and control, how do you expect them to tell the truth-- when the truth will undermine their control and ultimately their power. Through casual observation I have found that the Israeli government is still trading on the events of the Second World War to manipulate the West it allowing it to do almost anything it likes. In some circles criticism of Israel no matter how objective, is considered anti Semitic.

Criticism of Israeli policies as you would criticize the policies of any other country is of course totally cool. Anti-semitism totally is NOT cool. If you don't get the difference, maybe you should consider learning about it.

but his post is not far of the mark.

  7. But Warnock, 15 games left, looking realistacally only 3 are easy, why put a new manager in now, nobody is going to change the season around, wait till the off season and find a manger who can take us up, keep us up, and can get us back into Europe,

    +1

Bates and Warnock - that's a marriage made in heaven. To$$ers the both of them (all mouth and trousers as we say oop North). The Leeds public and disaffected LU fans (of which I am both) deserve neither of them.

Warnock just a yes man so Bates does not have to buy any new players in the summer

  8. But Warnock, 15 games left, looking realistacally only 3 are easy, why put a new manager in now, nobody is going to change the season around, wait till the off season and find a manger who can take us up, keep us up, and can get us back into Europe,

  9. I'm sure the west will be happy about this news, a divided Syria is the aim here, not a democratic country!

Quite a cynical sentiment. Anyway, the "west" is hardly a unified block.

Syria has a large number of chemical weapons and a divided country would make it easy for terrorists to get their hands on them. Somehow I doubt that the West wants an unstable Syria.

Maybe they are Bunkering the weapons of mass destruction for Sadam, i mean they are still looking for them are they not ???

  10. I've never heard of Stephen Fry (ignorant me), but I like the story. And indeed, I read The Importance of Being Earnest several times in a row too! (First time was a school requirement in our English class, believe it or not.) Same is true for the Picture of Dorian Gray. And I only later found out that Oscar Wild was gay.

Please try looking on you tube, under Stephen Fry on religion 1/2 and 2/2, i am not going to post a direct link, its up to you to try it, but if you want to hear a very intelligent gay man speak , please try

Look at the bigger picture JT, It's not all about a functioning/stable Syria or Iran having nukes etc. The US and It's allies are attacking China's allies/interests in the Middle East, all comes down to oil I suppose, plenty evidence on the net to prove this, stuff you don't see on mainstream news!

I totally agree about the west not being completely united, look at the EU and the Euro, the Greeks pushed to the brink now with austerity measures, and Germany demanding more in order for Greece to receive yet another $100 billion + bailout, chances of total Euro meltdown this year...Very high!

looking at the bigger picture, if Greece cannot do simple math to balance their own books, thats thier own fault, but that is not going to bring about a cease fire in Syria, truth is without the US the UN is nothing, Russia and China play thier own game and make their own deals, so who is more interested in oil, China i would say

    Summary

Kissing offers many health benefits but may also transmit a small number of disease-causing agents such as bacteria and viruses. Colds, glandular fever (kissing disease), herpes infection, warts, hepatitis B and meningococcal disease may all be transmitted by kissing. However the risk of disease from kissing is small and kissing can be good for physical and mental health.

  13. I don't think you are correct Jingthing. There are many posters here who disagree strongly with Israeli foreign policy, where are the 'many posters' who share Iran's dream of a world without Israel? That is a truly offensive and unjustified remark.

We would all like to see the nutjobs off the stage in Iran, but that does not mean we should be willing to destroy millions of lives in a bid to do it until EVERY diplomatic solution possible has been tried. The problem is time is running out because Iran is ditching the dollar as its Oil currency (Thats what Iraq and Libya were in the process of doing by the way). So dig your bunkers, it could get very ugly, and by the time you see the end result you won't be so proud or feel so humane then, and you will wish we would have tried every other alternative.

Would you also be for ejecting people from their Holy land in Saudi Arabia?

And why would you ask me that? I am not in favour of ejecting people from Israel either, have you ever seen me write that? I will save you the time from trawling through all my posts, the answer is .....no!. You seem awfully confused here. Did you actually read my posts, especially the one you have just quoted? If so how on earth can you come to the conclusion in your post? Bizzare!

    Bangkok Bombers 'Targeted Israeli Diplomats'

Gentlemen here we go again we are getting all personal, just because somebody is paranoid, we are all cannon fodder, for some extremist idiot somewhere, be it jew, christian, asian, black, gay or what ever

  14. Anyway, I understand your point, shouldnt bring to innocent places the bad things but come'on this is their intent to scare people, we must be happy they not target the Fullmoon party where thousands of Israelis drink and drunk every month or the Khaosan rd or even the nearby school... Those people who come here for holiday, really have nothing to do with terrorism for sure. This is what the terrorists recognize as an easy target I guess...

They probably are targeting Khao San Road, but the government will not admit it publicly. They are trying to play it down and saying only an Israeli diplomat was targeted, and that the Iranians never even considered attacking the huge number of Israelis in KSR.

Maybe they were Targeting tourists, they blew the house up whilst making the bombs, the BBC describe Thailand as a easy target for terroists, because of the Thai police, be grateful these were only "D" terroists

  15. What else would you call someone who helps a bunch of hateful religious nuts develop nuclear weapons in order to control the Middle East?

I think Robert Oppenheimer, and Maybe Albert Einsteins theory of relativity, may have helped just a little bit, but i agree if Iran develop this evil weapon, then god help us all

  16. Seems these guys were as competent as the 'shoe bomber' and the 'underpant bomber'. Iran has a very proficient and professional military and as it is always toted as being a regime that trains terrorists, then if these chaps are an example of their finest then if I were leader of a terrorist organization, I would be sending my terrorists elsewhere to be trained that's for sure. This is all too convenient. I am still staggered by those on this forum that see a guy lobbing a few grenades around as an excuse to go to a massive war, I doubt you would be so quick on the draw if your kids were going to be sent to do the fighting.

Attacking India, Georgia and Thailand is nice. Three countries up at the very top of the corruption index, whose officials and heads of media will say anything for a deposit in a private bank account. I expect Mr no legs and his companion will be out of country soon having been extradited for some other terrorist charge. That way, no tricky answers to tricky questions. Lets catch the terrorists, I am all for it, but we may need to dig a little deeper to find out who they are.

    Jingthing said

Why get third party countries like Thailand, Georgia, and India involved? Especially India as India is a huge buyer of Iranian oil.

EXACTLY!!!! India have just done a deal to buy up spare oil that Europe is not going to take from the start of the sanctions. So you would then send terrorists to that same country to stir up the crap with a major trade ally??? Make sense??...NO!

I have explained in another post the rationale for it from Iran. To warn Israel that an attack on their nuclear program will result in an international response against Israeli (and potentially American) targets.

If you are going to target Israeli diplomats, First you have to find them, not to many walking around in Tehran
