  1. if you drive south along the beach at pranburi, passing the evason hotel, aleenta and villa maroc, continue on and turn right before papa monkey, then first right, there is a soi there 200metres from khao kalok beach that has a few houses for rental around the 10 000bht mark.I live in one of the town houses and its a great soi to live in,10kms from Tesco and makro,5min walk to the best beach

  2. Why dont you ask "what hotels are sextourist friendly?". Wouldnt that be easier?

The problem is lara if you don't register your lady friend when booking the room

,some hotels will charge you any where up to an extra 1000bht a night for bringing a guest

hence, the need to look for guest friendly hotels that don't charge an extra fee

  3. So far all the answers have been wrong.

A Thai can own land 'free and clear of debt' from any age.

The management of the property will be done by one of the child's parents until age 20 (but cannot be sold and can not leased for a period longer than 3 years). The parent to manage (and effectively control) the property is decided by mutual consent of both parents at the time of 'gifting' and can not normally be changed unless the managing parent dies. Nationality of managing parent not considered relevant, foreigner can do. Theoretically the land could be sold with permission of a Thai court, but a Thai court effectively won't give their permission to sell.

    Your problem.

Under Thai law you are not considered this child's parent (and will not be able to formalize your parentage of the child until the child is at least 5 years old as both mother and child are required to state you are the father at the Amphur office) and therefore the mother is automatically manager of the property. So she can tell you to move out and not return, at any time.

    Your solution.

Marry the mother, then as one of the child's legal parents you can control the property and who lives in/on it.

The problem with thailand is there are laws, but not every province will abide by them,i tried to put property in my sons(thai) name, i was divorced from mother, in prachuap kiri khan and wasnt allowed, the lawyer even pointed out the law,and they said sorry, son too young(2yo) to own property..and that was that

  4. I grew up in north queensland, and for those who don't know, the temperature is almost the same as thailand, red claws would have no problems with the environment.

How did you source the breeding stock?

I live in hua hin and would be interested at starting this up as well.

It would be a hobby and not for profit, and maybe even in corporate it into an aquaponics system, any info would be appreciated.

    Red claws are very tasty.

  5. What is the fee for 1 off session at Powefit....I hav used spa and fitness in the pay but not enough equipment..

Sent from my HTC One using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

    I have a monthly membership,but i think the daily fee is 200bht

They have just expanded the 3rd floor aerobics/yoga room, and now have cardio bikes and treadmill downstairs,

also more equipment for the 2nd floor weights room on its way.

  6. powerfit 102 is by far the best gym in town.It has 3 floors of training rooms.

I train most days of the week and the rooms never get warm enough for air conditioning, plenty of air circulating through the windows.

The key is the buildings aspect in relation to the afternoon sun.

I hate training in the heat too ,but this gym definitely doesn't need air cons, and i feel healthier too

,i never get that little air con cough that i used to get from other gyms.

  7. Its slowly becoming a good gym,its still a bit quiet, but when the new equipment from Bangkok arrives soon, bikes, running machines and lat pull downs it should pull a bigger membership.

Apart from the run in with the pizza shop(police have now put up a designated smoking sign so customers no where to smoke)he's doing a pretty good job with his clients.

He's more hands on and helped me with shoulder injuries,in fact I haven't done any weight training, just using medicine balls and ropes to strengthen my shoulder(injured at golf)

I hope it works out for him.

  8. a few more australian shows such as four corners, australian story, 730 report, foreign correspondence, insiders, offsiders and insider business,

also channel 7 and channel 9 news,60minutes etc can be accessed from their websites for free'.

I run a cable from my computer to my 51 tv have exterior sound and watch it all for free, just like watching tv..but at the time i choose to watch it.

  9. the law says you can ,but most local tessabahns won't let you put the land in a childs name under 20

,i tried in prachuap khiri khan hua hin,the land office wouldnt allow it,even after the lawyer told them the law!

The best i could do was put land in ex wifes name with a 30 year lease and a will that if she dies the land goes to our son.

We have a good relationship and share equal responsibilities with our son so no problem......yet..lol
