The new Kawasaki Z800 has a deluxe version available from the factory that has a smoked little windshield, gel tank protector, and an Acropovic exhaust. Or however you spell that. I don't know if it's available in Thailand, yet or ever. Interesting scenario though.
The Akrapovic that you can buy for Z800 is TIS stamped so it's legal in Thailand.

Don't know sorry and I'm not in Thailand right now to check.
Found this phone number online 0819457424
Try giving them a call.

Yes, should be enough. I have a US license in addition to Thai (so I know nothing about the European license), and US does not distinguish between cc's, with the exception of cc's below 100 which are classified as mopeds which is a separate license (though a full motorcycle license covers that too). If trying to obtain a Thai license just bring international license showing motorcycle endorsement to Land Transport office, and they will exempt you from riding test. As I recall still had to do a color test, and something else--so I don't think it exempts you completely.
The other tests are depth perception and reaction test

I've been effectively living in Thailand on Visa exemptions for the last 4 years working month on/month off on the rigs.
I married 2 years ago and we have a son in Thailand.
I have no savings but can show my earnings every month.
We are going to go to the UK for a holiday next month and wondered if the Thai embassy in Glasgow issues marriage visa's and what documents are required?
I have marriage certificate
Birth certificate for our son
Photos in front of the house in Thailand
Rental agreement
Passport scans every page (mine and my wifes)
Is there anything else I need to take along.
Thank you for any help

Where are you located?
I buy my pirelli's from the Maxxis shop on Pattaya Sukhumvit just past Bangkok Pattaya coming from North road.
They also stock bridgestone I think.

I think you would be OK, but I'm not sure since I only have a Thai license. I'm sure someone will answer shortly.

Bought these boots just recently after retiring my Oxtars boots of many years. Not one piece of leather used in the construction, surprisingly. Even more surprising is that RST Gear is made in Pakistan of all places.
The Tractech Evo CE- EN13634 race boot is built with protection and comfort in mind.
Tractech Evo is constructed from micro tech, a special 2mm microfibre with PU coating that is superior to leather (being nearly 70% lighter, tear and age resistant with easy care properties).
Loaded with protective features that provide a really competitive boot for the fast road/track rider who demands protection, high performance and style to top off the incredible spec list the Tractech Evo is independently CE certified to guarantee the best level of protection.
CE certified EN13634

I have the RST leather trousers, good quality from what I can see and not too bad fit. Didn't feel to hot wearing them driving around Bangkok last month.

Nice combo there JohnPark. Which Shark helmet is it? Are you happy with it?
Not my helmet. I took the photo at Soidogbobs house.
He's very happy with it.

Kennypowers, thanks for the videos and lecture on the evils of meat-eating and wearing of leather. Appreciated!
On a side note, as this is the Bike Forum, mind sharing with us which bike you ride?

My girlfriend, received notification today that a decision has been made, so sounds like it's on it's way back, she applied on the 11th June
So, we probably still have a week to wait.
Thanks for letting me know, hope your application was successful.
I think he actually said that the decision has been made, not that the application was successful, let's just hope it was though.
I'm sure that's what I said, that I hoped his application was successful.

Could be the wife likes to show others her husband is a ferang.
Wife wanted to do the same on our car, but I said no way I want to be targetted as a ferang driver, lets hit him he'll have money.
Let them discover dont advertise the fact is my motto.
Why would she want to do that?
My wife insisted we stick a "I love the king" sticker on ours to prevent damage/theft. I stuck a Scottish flag on the back but.
My wife picked one sticker and I picked the other one, I wanted a Thai one also but she said it wouldn't match the car.

Anyone received their visas yet?

Never tried a Shoei, my heads wide at the back and narrower at the front and it's a good fit (even pressure all around) maybe a little tight on my cheeks but don't think that's a bad thing.
Think the Corsa is a better bet for the road as the Pista air vents are removable plastic/rubber inserts and the Corsa has the more conventional sliders. Knowing me I'd lose the inserts.
The corsa still has the locking 2 position shield and the shield I find handy because it comes down with a nod of the head or when my speed gets up a bit.
-
I've only been wearing Shoei since I started riding- I do like the AGV Pista, though.
It's the Corsa I have same shape as the Pista just not full CF.
Here it is modeled by my future biker

Trying to get something sent from a Malaysian company, they cancelled my order because they said delivery would be too expensive.
Which company is cheapest to get something picked up and delivered to Pattaya?
Stated weight is 7 kg
Dimension estimate would be 70cm x 40cm x 40cm
TNT Couriers have came out cheapest so far at 330 Ringit.
Any help much appreciated.
Fiberglass motorbike bodywork is what I'm getting delivered.

I realized what you meant after I replied, oops. Added another option for you.
-
There is no option "none". Do i need to prefer one?
Didn't think anyone would be silly enough to ride without a helmet on these roads but I'll add the option, lol.
-
Just wondering what brand helmet everyone likes. I've always worn AGV since I was a kid, don't think I'll ever change because they're a good fit for my head shape.

You could drill a hole in the new exhaust and weld in a threaded spool to take the Lambda probe (O2 Sensor)
Could cut out of old exhaust or source elsewhere.
