Here, my daily is a CRV gen 2, last of the series, it came out with the 2.4 K24 that later went into the gen 3. BMW E36 M3 which is a restoration project, 80% complete. Did have an evo 9 prior to the Beemer, which I regret selling now. In OZ, an arena red Porsche 911 993 manual, the only car I've ever owned that has increased in value. Last of the air cooled and an classic drivers car. Has full service history and in (near) mint condition. Porsche Boxster S 986, bought it with low km's but it had a horrendous bodykit, which I removed and put back to stock. Spent way more than I should've, another car that I'll likely never get my money back if I ever sold it. Porsche Macan GTS, which is my daily when I return. AMG E63, wasn't looking for another car but this was in mint condition and I couldn't resist. The V8 M156 sounds amazing. Buying it was a bit of a gamble that didn't quite pay off, having to get a top end rebuild which was very, very expensive. But it's all sorted now and lovely to drive. VW Amarok. Bought this new back in 2014. It's set up as an overland vehicle, long range tank, 3" lift, roof top tent ect. Super reliable go anywhere vehicle that is quite nice to drive on the highway, apart from the muddies making it pretty noisy. Did have a 911 GT3 RS (991) in 'midlife crisis purple' for a few years, mostly tracked it, hopeless on the road, as they say: better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Bring on the haters.....

Hi there Can anyone tell me what the average interest rate is on a housing loan here in TH? The wife and I are getting a house and need 5M or so to reach the purchase price, which she will get from the bank. She's banging on about this MRR business, her explanation just leaves me more confused. From what she says it appears the interest rate is much higher than it is in foreign countries, well Australia anyway. I'm a bit out of touch now, but I recall it being less than 5%. If anyone has had experience or could enlighten me, it would be much appreciated. Cheers DM

I was in a similar situation, had to watch a 2 hour video not realising I would be tested. If u need to do that also u better pay attention cuz u need 90% to pass. There were 5 other thais that watched it with me, we all failed the first test, most failed the second test including me. Passed on the fourth attempt, but just. Translations are nonsensical in many questions.

Hi there I get my spares from BM Performance, needless to say they don't speak English. They have a lot of spares, perhaps the most in BKK. They're not that cheap either, sometimes the new part is not much more. Really, the best way would be to go over and visit them. Sorry about the small screen shots, they were from my line. Thanks guys The car doesn't have matching numbers, so the dealer won't touch it. I have previously visited Lek Arm, but was put off by the total chaos. Mechanics squatting on a dirt floor surrounded by parts of the engine they were working on didn't inspire great confidence in me. But as the SpeedHunters article said, that is apparently typical of many Japanese workshops. They did have a Z4 that they had just dropped a V12 into, so obviously they have some skills. We spoke with his son, who speaks very good English at least. I asked about doing rod bearings on an S50B32 and he quoted upwards of 200K, which we thought pretty expensive. Went away wondering if that was the Farang price. I was there regarding a Vanos enquiry and didn't ask about a diff rebuild, so it may be worth returning and not being put off by the garages hyper disorganisation. cheers DM

Hi there I need to get a LSD diff rebuilt, I have the rebuild kit but have had difficulty finding a specialist. I can’t believe there isnt one somewhere in BKK. Does anyone know of one. Alternatively I wonder if a gearbox rebuilder could do it? There seem to be more of these about. It’s for an M3 I’m restoring. if anyone could offer any input it would be appreciated. Cheers DM
