  1. ya, i guess it does sound kinda fishy. not really sure how else to word it really.

I have $38 on paypal, looking to trade that for baht. I can withdrawl it but that takes 7-10 days to hit my bank, in 10 days i'll have plenty of money.

also open to other ideas, not trying to scam or offend anyone.

  2. I sometimes get stuck without local currency while I'm awaiting bank transfers. If anyone is interested in swapping my Paypal for baht via a Kbank transfer I'd pay a little vig for the trouble.

I'm not looking for a big transfer, just enough to get by for a few days.

  3. ChefsXP.com says this : We accept cash and all major credit cards (Visa/Master/Amex/Diners). In case of credit card, we will call you for your credit card information. There's no need to worry about internet security at all. Alternately, you can have our riders bring a wireless credit card machine to 'swipe' your card at your doorsteps (please put a note to 'bring credit card machine' upon checkout). Furthermore, online payments by credit card OR paypal will also be available to customers in the very near future.

...* ... So when I read that, I thought there might be other places that already accept it. I sometimes get stuck without baht while I'm waiting for a transfer to hit my kbank. If I could buy food with Paypal or find a quicker way to trade paypal for baht, it would beneficial, even if I had to pay a little vig.

  4. The main reason I chose this place is because the internet. It is the fastest I've seen in Thailand, never any disconnected, great download speeds. I would be willing to pay a little more to be closer to the main area, but premium internet is my #1 concern with my work.

  5. @Langsuan Man - I read up on the link you included. Correct me if have any wrong information, but from what I understand....

I go into Bangkok Bank thailand tomorrow, set up up a new account. Then come home, use my Bangkok Bank account number, and use the routing number 026008691 (BKK Bank NY) and use a direct deposit of $200 USD and it'll appear in Baht in my BKK bank thailand.

There are 2 fees, a USD fee, and a Baht Fee.

    $200 falls into a $5 fee

then when its converted to baht, an additional fee of .025% fee.

    that sounds excellent.

I was always advised in the past that Kbank was a much better bank to have over Bangkok bank, from personal experience do you have any reasons why they'd differ?

also, does BKK bank have any monthly fees or disadvantages
