I live in the Mukdahan province and have found 3 local dams with chado in them, the only reason I found out was the wife talking to the local tackle store man who was more than helpful in telling us good places to try.
Surface lures of any type retrieved as fast as you can reel is the way to go.
They love hanging in and amongst the water lilly's so a lure with a weed blocker on it is the go,one that can skip across the top of the lilly pads
I much prefer casting lures but the wife live baits them with small eels and she leeds the score board 11 - 4 ( I say it's cheating)
Good luck but my advice is to ask a local

Had rain yesterday afternoon and more over night its 6.30 in the morning and its 24 degrees a nice change from what it has been here in Mukdahan
I have a industrial thermometer that I calibrated my self that sits underneath my house and it has only hit the 40C mark once,
Don't trust the cheap thermometers they can be out by a few degrees
I have worked in the Instrumentation field for way to long to trust a cheap thermometer

How about Fox news do a story on hurricane Katrina and go down there and report on how America turned there back on those people still till today
America clean up your own backyard before having a go at someone else's

I live in the Mukdahan province and go fishing in any dam around the place, sure there not guided tour dams but all hold fish which I think any body of water in this country holds fish, be adventurous have a look on google earth pick out a dam go for a drive and see if anybody is fishing and sit down and have a look or talk to them (take the wife to talk to them) I have found some great fishing spots and haven't paid 1 baht to go to any of them. And its amazing what can be found
Good luck

I would like to know what happens to all the confiscated wood, I see it piled up behind Mukdahan police station every week and new piles all the time replacing the pile that was there last week

was watching Tom and Jerry today with the little nephew and the same noises are used and can be enjoyable to watch as there is no language
So I treat Thai TV shows the same as Tom and Jerry, turn the volume down and look at all the hot girls and it starts to make sense

Would be interested to hear from Monster 795 owners what they have
seen as top speeds?
I do not mean the type where you get into top gear & 1-2 minutes later what the speed is
but say 10 seconds wide open top gear after having wound up each gear before?
Have read 172kph-210kph but that is a very wide variance so would be curious to hear
from any actual owners here...Just out of curiosity
Thanks
Yes you read correct 210 kph is about it with the standard gearing

16000 km up on mine no complaints, service in Udon cannot fault, handling improved with rosso II tryes,no complaints about the seat position, power to weight ratio perfect for Thailand, brakes are the best I've had on a bike and saved me a couple of times and then there is the sound of the Ducati that only a Ducati rider can tell you about

Isaan swept by another storm
in Isaan
Posted
Was hit with a storm yesterday afternoon near Khamcha-ee Mukdahan with cyclonic winds that I would estimate between 120-160 km/h that lasted an hour I have got rubber trees down everywhere and the clean up is still going on
A little bit of hail in it too. Quiet a few houses in the village had there roofs removed.
Storm only about 2km wide but did some damage.
