OK. This is "out there" and based of other hypothesis and some of my own thoughts over the past 48 hours.

1. Crashed. Still no evidence. Obviously this will take some time but if nothing comes up by the end of the week we can assume that they did not crash where they are searching or they simply did not crash. Why they crashed is not really of issue to my hypothesis.

2. Hijacking without purpose of crashing. I will explain, shortly, why we might not have heard. Plane disappears from normal plane tracking "radar" (I now know more about radar than I did before but not enough...it would seem). If this plane is still flying then we are talking about a hijacker turning off all signals (transponders and the like) and taking the plane down to a low altitude. Plenty of people have said that this would require amazing flying skills...plenty of people have those...including the 2 chaps already in the cockpit.

So, we have a plane flying low, in an unknown direction full of, mainly, people from China or Chinese ethnicity. Where can it go? I do not know about whether it can be detected but can hypothesise about whether anybody is TRYING to detect it. So what is within KL-Beijing + 2 hours (the fuel on board) distance? Xinjiang certainly is. With the MASSIVE terrorist attack in Kunming on March 1st there was no announcement to claim the attack. The claiming was done by the media and the government.

In this, incredibly unlikely, turn of events where is the use for the terrorists? VERY simple. We're all talking about this incredible mystery. We're all focussed on it. That is what terrorism (I am using a vastly over-used word there) is meant to do. It is not the process of killing that is the aim...it is the attention garnered.

Lets move forward a short while. Lets hypothesise that another plane goes missing in similar circumstances. Now where are the hearts and minds of the world's population? In the hands of the organising group. Where are they? Communicating with the right people...not us.

-------------------

Please understand that I feel we are dealing with wreckage here but every moment that passes makes me question that more and more. I'm sure we're all the same. Of course this plane has crashed (whether terrorist, mechanical or pilot error) but each moment that passes with an increasing amount of resources turning up nothing makes us ask questions.

What if this plane hasn't crashed?

Please can the experts step forward and put me back in my box. I know the I might be giving Clancy a run for his money here but we do tend to just "compartmentalise" a downed plane (nasty though it is). 239 people missing without a trace? That stuff sticks.

(I know I'm going to regret pressing post)

Totally valid perspectives.

if it didn't crash than it landed somewhere as it only had enough gas to get an hour or so beyond Bejing.

So , where is it??

no country would allow it to land without everyone finding out

its a long shot but if it was hijacked ,they could still be in negeotiations with the hijackers

and thus media blackout etc

if it is extremeists ,they may have asked for people to be released from jail

or negeotiating for something that the country involved doesnt want to give them

its unlikely that the chinese ,malaysians and the usa doesnt know what happened

the nsa knows when you last took a shit ,to think they dont know about this is ridiculous

This is the best chance we have at getting these people back to their families. It's a sad day when all your hopes are based on it being a ransom situation. My heart goes out to their family and friends. I pray this is over quick.

Second cell /back up cell not required.

Ouch!

It is very difficult to keep a balance of great sorrow for the missing and their relatives, whatever has happened,
and what I think is everyone's genuine interest to try and understand the myriad possibilities of what has happened.
I am puzzled by why a company the size of Freescale Semiconductor would put 20 of its employees on the same plane

That's what I am saying! It's just mind blowing that they would even take that risk for obvious reasons. We need to read between the lines and because it seems all the answers are right in front of us.

It's common for people to check in, not board, and then always luggage is removed. That isn't an issue here.

Next ...

Correct. There's laws that relate to this. Normally when it happens the plane is late for departure as they retrieve the luggage, but I think this plane almost left as scheduled.

So you don't think they are just saying the luggage was retrieved to save their <deleted>
Given the bizarre nature of all this it might well be an issue. If people did not board it would surely have
delayed the plane. So they presumably checked in and changed their minds well before departure? Who were they and why
did they do it?
Be good to know

This should be the question that everyone is looking into. Where are they? Who were they? Why are authorities not banging down their doors right now? They booked the tickets so there has to be a record of who they are.

Ruh Roh the tin foil hat brigade have arrived.

rolleyes.gif alt=rolleyes.gif width=20 height=20>

Logic: The art of thinking and reasoning in strict accordance with the limitations and capacities of the human misunderstanding. Insolence is not logic; epithets are the arguments of malice. Against logic there is no armor like ignorance. Human beings lose their logic in their vindictiveness. Say what you will, an enlightened person considers all possibilities without allowing bias to guide them. As soon a someone dismisses a logical perspective, all is lost for the sake of one individuals ego being preserved.

Seriously, we have no answers as of yet and as an American I can tell you that it would not be outside the realm of possibility that this plane was taken down by many governments in cooperation due to the nature that 20 of the worlds leading scientists and engineers that had been perfecting an electric car died in this crash. America is well known and established as the country to go to to get a job like this done. Many nations would loose a ridiculous amount of money if we all stopped using fossil fuels. The rich don't want to be poor so collateral damage is just want it would come down to in their office meetings. This is not a conspiracy theory anymore than the idea of it just vanishing without a trace. They control the media and this is a prime example that they control everything else as well. 2+2=4 We all know who "they" are.

"This is not a conspiracy theory"

Sure fooled me. Just like the theory the team had stealth technology on board and made the plane disappear. Suggestion, cut back on the scifi and conspiracy movies.

I suppose you think the Boston Bombing was a real terrorist attack too ehh?coffee1.gif

Some posters definitely need to wear their tinfoil hats more regularly....20 pages of speculation, random guesses and nonsense, yet not one scrap of actual valid and corroborated information.

Condolences to the victims, their families and friends. I hope that the families' agony is soon eased and they can find out the truth.

Tinfoil hats or not, something just doesn't gel. Since 9/11 all planes on international routes have upgraded their cockpit security but this plane just stopped sending any sort of signal. Doesn't that seem strange?

No beacon after the crash and supposedly off course. Nothing to see hear, move on and stop asking questions.

Do you know what doesn't gel? No one is talking about this: http://beforeitsnews.com/events/2014/03/malaysia-plane-crash-20-all-electric-car-linked-green-tech-passengers-on-board-names-released-2432738.html

'solditallandmovedhere' you are clearly not a Thai, so move back from whence you came

as to saying something positive; you may consider more debt for a third country as a good; I say it is a negative, so therefore, it is a positive observation ....

as to Brazil, it likewise is over-populated and the vast majority live in poverty, and life is worth maybe less there than in Thailand; Thailand is experiencing hotter weather as is Brazil (most of the country is suffering varying degrees of drought)

Have you been to Brazil 'umbanda'? or 'solditandknowitalleverywhere'

In 1965 Brazil was one of the most undeveloped countries in the world, even being one of the richest in natural resources. Took one President and an industry protection plan to put Brazil on the BRIC, the list of the 4 emergent economies of the new century. It is not perfect, and corruption is equal or bigger than any other country. Brazil not will be free of DISHONESTY and CORRUPTION, and not will be free of NEGATIVE people, for another century, but every new project have a start date, and a group of people behind with a very POSITIVE and VISIONARY mind.

Why not Thailand?

+1^ Correct. Some people are simply devoid of vision and can't see the overall value of such things.

'solditallandmovedhere' ... "negative people and sewer mouths"

so a whole country can take on this massive debt so you can get from A to B at your convenience ... what a selfish little twit !

Twit? You sir, are the problem here on TV! It's people like you that I wish would just go back to your own country. You based insulting me on my remark about people simply talking trash all the time instead of adding something useful (thanks for providing an example) and then try to back up your sewer mouth and negativity by accusing me of just wanting to go from A-B. clap2.gifcheesy.gif

12. This rail system would be a God send! Do you "haters" and "sewer mouths" posting negative replies understand the economics of this plan? EVERYTHING IN THAILAND WILL GET BETTER IF WE HAVE THIS RAIL SYSTEM! The overall quality of life will be raised to a degree that Thai's and Farlang alike have never known here. We have family in Hua Hin and I know for sure that I would love to pop down there on the weekends and pop back up north as to get to work on Monday. Trains like this will push Thailand into the realm of a functioning 1st world country. Slowly, but it will. Hey, it's a start and a damn good one if they can bring it to fruition. I am hoping for the best.

13. Will that include synthetic cheese?

I'll presume this comment wad directed at my post.

I have no idea. I've eaten vegan cheese a few times which I was told is synthetic cheese and it would likely have melted in the same way processed cheese does. Not sure it is manufactured in Thailand and would matter to me anyway because it is horrid stuff.

Now before I say this, please let me inform you I am from a state in America where we specialize in cheese. Yes, real cheese does taste better for sure and is superior in many ways to processed. However, "singles" as they are referred to, simply melt better. There is no real reason not to use them. Top restaurants in New York still use high quality versions of "singles". If you buy the right ones, they are basically the same except they are made with a bit more water and not "wax fillers". As for the taste, I would put it on a burger any day. If these guys use Kraft Cheese... then I would have a problem. That stuff is plastic. As long as the meat is fresh, at least 80-20 meat to fat ratio and it comes from a real cow... they should be fine. I ate buffalo before. Not my favorite.
14. Well if they are quality beef....real cheese....onion....and good buns i would happily buy one regardless of price.

But that is just me.....one voice in a sea of 45 baht beers.....!

You don't ask for much do you Smokie!

Most burgers with cheese use processed cheese and though there are many different flavours, they are all pretty much the same. Non processed cheese doesn't melt evenly but rather congeals into protein gel and liquid fat making is somewhat unsuitable for a burger.

The onions here are more like Spanish onions in that they are very mild and good for salads. Not great for a burger in my mind but not too bad.

Buns should not be an issue if you know a local baker who is willing to make them in relatively small batches. Bread doesn't freeze well but the faster it goes into a frozen state the better will be the product after freezing. Put half a loaf or a couple of rolls in your freezer at home and they freeze pretty quick because of being surrounded by lots of other frozen stuff. Put say 200 rolls into a small freezer and it takes to long so you need to blast freeze them first.

Good beef is the real issue because it is very costly. I've been told that much of the imported beef comes from Australia along with some from NZ but is usually pre butchered into wholesale joints for steaks which means the usual cuts used for burger mince are simply not available. Another problem is if you used prime cuts then you would be well short of the fat to meat ration of 80:20 or sometimes 85:15. You would have to introduce fat from pork I suppose?

Better to use 100% (80:20) buffalo meat. It's tough as old boots but has a good taste so mincing it would have a good chance of working, pretty cheap and locally sourced.

Can't quit say Buffalo would be All-American but the rest is very well stated. You apparently are a Foodie. Thanks for the comments.
15. A real Aussie burger needs beetroot....just a suggestion for you.

I had a burger and fries at that joint on Nimmenhaimen 2 years ago, and it tasted so good after not having a burger for 2 years. That afternoon the rumblings started and I was crook as Rookwood for the next 3 days-I have never had a burger since.

Before I left Oz in 2005 I used to love the Ogallo's Portugese chicken burger with ginger and chilli sauce-SUPERB!

I personally am not the owner. However, I do agree that they should have something for the Aussie's. I have never had beetroot on a burger, I have heard about it however.Sounds good. If they have beetroot I will certainly try it! I hope they will serve egg as a choice as well. You can follow them the same as me on their facebook page: www.facebook.com/lingbaburgers
