Anyone who has been to or lived in Thailand know it is a daily business. Get their gambling,drinking,whore money with these shake downs. I have been in several taxis that were pulled over. I pay the fine for the driver, they work 12 hrs a day for often just 300 or so baht a day after fuel and rent. I do not know how they ever smile. Do your part!

Maybe the motorists of Thailand should launch a class action against the police for decades of roadside shakedowns?

now if thailand actually had a proper ploice force, it wouldnt be that difficult to identify her.... IE using Face Regonistion software against the deceased and from the database of pictures tken from arrivals into Thailand

Violence like this should not be tolerated regardless of the amount in question. If the authorities don't crack down then Phuket isn't safe. You cannot just kick the shit out of somebody because you lost face and expect to get away with it.

what is he worried about??? He is not a baby, he can look after himself. There is no more danger in Koh Chang then anywhere else in the World.You are not talking about great deal of money, accomodation is cheap there. And if the woman is a teacher , she is the most likely decend girl.

I understand opinions and suppose that this might be a great place for farangs to express it. I do say that I am careful not to discuss Thai Politics it is not wise. Thailand is not our country we have no rights to verbalize our thoughts on this subject. Recall recently that Aussie bloke who was out at the Reds meetings I believe, and he was rightfully deported. No place for us to assemble or speak imho!

It seems from the recent polls that more Thais than not would like him to come back. If he does he'll have the Democrat's incompetence to thank. They were handed the reigns and then rode in circles for 2 1/2 years.
