It will be a struggle for all airlines in the coming 12-18 months until flights are at least 60-65% occupied. Airlines have always been a pride of many countries. Thai Airways has reduced the fleet to about 50 from 80 and laid of thousands of people. Let us do hope that their new setup works out as they do fly direct. I would not like to change or ever buy a ticket to Europe with a Middle East stop. Always prefer 12 hours direct than 2 x 6 hours. Good luck

Nothing is right or wrong. Thailand has to open up as the front line people can’t no longer afford to live. On my recent trip to the north the night market was totally empty and vendors begged us to buy anything to get a few baht. This is the reality. Have to die one way or the other. Cases will rise surely and as long as the healthy system can take it we can move forward. It will take years for recovery

About 60% of 2019 local tourism. Possible if we can travel more freely and not being locked down and limited by bureaucratism. Finally realizing that 3-4 million jobs in the travel industry have been wiped out causing many other issues as well. The big awakening is coming once travelling starts and cases rise. By end of next year we all get our 3rd jab and that Covid will get all of us one day or the other. Dont be afraid your chances are very very low.

Too much power in the hands of governments - the new normal. If the public health and well being is the governments priority I argue smoking and drinking should be included. Too much tax money involved. One day we will have the facts public. 1. Vaccine was human made 2. Biggest mistake ever to shut down and try to stop the spread. 3. A flu type virus that has a higher mortality rate for the weaker ones. the approach should be to protect and vaccinate them first and let them decide on their own. Taking that decision away and mandate it is against principals of human freedom.
