As stated his mum will not help .. he did have thai passport and birth certificate as well.. but are long gone . I want to do everything as a british citizen ...not Thai if possible. Visa company said they can get his UK birth certificate stamped if I want to . but is it realy necessary ?

ELVIAJERO.. Are you saying once I"ve got my 1 year retirement visa ... I can do something else (Extension of stay)  for him that piggybacks mine very easily ? Excuse the ignorance ... what exactly is it and how do I go about it .

If you do not have a cop of his birth certificate then you can always go to the area he was born in and apply for a replacement Then applying for his Thai passport is  a snap

Should not be a problem However coming in a British Passport I would get him a Visa until you sort out the rest

Unfortunately in Thailand justice is not available by the police.  Vigilante law makes for a precarious society.  But I wonder, in America, had this happened, what the outcome would be legally.  It does help me be convinced that the man had been talking about doing this for some time.  This is a tough one, like the other story about the Australian that was raped by a motorcycle taxi driver allegedly.  In that case too, the alleged rapist had a history of rapy behavior.  Jesus, guys, this is Thailand where even *I* can find a girflriend, is it that hard?

If this had happened in America she would not be charged

Now if she was from Australia or white, posters would be saying. ...

How stupid of her to be in the field working by herself.

Why does she let herself be pretty.

    She probably flirted with him.

    What was she wearing?

She shouldn't be in the field in the early hours of the morning and so on.

The way some people talk about a white female being raped and a dark skinned person being raped is really shocking.

Always blame the woman Common people grow up

Its sounds clearly self defense  I know farmers and working in the field alone is common as 99.99 % of the time they are safe

I hope she is not charged with anything She has a right to defend herself

Something just occurred to me .

Why didnt she just change the date of her flight on her return ticket?

She must have had a restricted ticket  where you cannot change dates  and if not used  then it expires

She said they would not honor her ticket when she went to the airport at a different departure date

Of course She thinks there is a conspiracy and the airlines are in on it  Give me a break

This is a bogus story or little of any truth to it

Sorry your post is completely nonsensical, how do you come to the conclusion that I am a dog hater? what am I arguing or speculating about? I stated a fact - good restaurants do not allow dogs based on hygiene........its really that simple. Yes I concede that the majority of pet dogs are probably clean but it's the minority that the restaurant has to guard against. As for the EU regulation this states that dogs are not allowed in to any area where food is prepared...........

The legislation, which makes the provisions relating to dogs in food premises is contained in Regulations (EC) No 852/2004, Annex II, Chapter IX – Provisions applicable to foodstuffs (4) as below:

Adequate procedures are to be in place to control pests. Adequate procedures are also to be in place to prevent domestic animals from having access to places where food is prepared, handled or stored (or, where the competent authority so permits in special cases, to prevent such access from resulting in contamination).

Nuff said on this subject now.

Yes I agree where food is prepared Its called a kitchen  and dogs are not allowed in those areas It does not prohibit them from going into the dinning area

    where people sit

Anyways I have a dog who lives with my wife and I and he can eat off my plate any day . He is cleaner then some people I know

The Tourist Police is a different department, should she really be worried that cops did that to her.

             It does smell fishy, right.

Not everyone who has an event here in Thailand is lying but there are a few every year that make weird accusations  and you know there is something missing in their

statements. Maybe she is not lying but on the face of it It does smell fishy Sure maybe  there is something to it but the police are not going to cover something like this up

Its in the tourist industry the one industry in Thailand that is monumentally important to then So any scum from it they will want to clean out

If true she would have been safe going to the police

I have been to Europe...............very nice it was too.

Some of the countries visited were; Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, UK, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria, none of which allow dogs or any pets for that matter (except guide dogs) into indoor restaurants. The simple reason for this rule is "Hygiene" and it has got nothing to do with whether Bruno has brushed, gargled and flossed his mouth twice a day since conception. Dogs are covered in a fur coat which is a natural habitat for all kinds of bacteria and undesirable little insects etc.

As for France and Spain not sure what kind of restaurants you're referring to but I suspect it is the greasy Joe type cafes and not proper respectable restaurants.

Speculation is not fact my friend I have witnessed dogs in good restaurants and bistros in both countries. It seems your just a dog hater Sure soi dogs are not very clean .

Strange what you say If that was the case then  120 million people in the United States would become deathly ill since they are in contact with their dogs on a daily bases as the dog hovers around the Kitchen  while someone cooks or is under the table waiting for morsels while they eat .

Your argument is not based on fact rather is based on a knee jerk reaction to your emotions about dogs.

Please get your facts straight before you make a comment I want facts not emotion If those four legged creates where as dirty as you say  then people would not have them as pets

    Its that simple

  8. Canad the United States Britain and other European countries have casinos that are fun to the benefit of the people. Most in those countries are void of

the mafia in the 21st century It is a corporate world now .

If run correctly casinos in Thailand would be a windfall for the people

Set up a ministry  for this purpose  to oversea it

If they can run casinos in China then its time to have them here as well

    Casinos will attract monied people

Not being a fan of filthy dangerous animals does not mean I hate them, I don't eat them either

Fatal dog attacks in the United States are a small percentage of the relatively common occurrences of dog bites. At least 4.5 – 4.7 million Americans are bitten by dogs every year, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 20 to 30 of these bites result in death.[1][2]

Number of deaths from the Influenza  from the CDC on a yearly bases is  4,605 in the USA  And people catch the Flue from other people  20 to 30 people die from dog bits is a non statistic

Get real You just do not like dogs

  10. I have a house dog Never goes out gets baths regularly has his shots all the time when needed

This is not a dog with a health threat to humans Here is a quote for Web MD

"Dogs and the health benefits for children. Not only do children who grow up with pets have less risk of allergies and asthma, many also learn responsibility, compassion, and empathy from having a dog or cat. Unlike parents or teachers, pets are never critical and don't give orders. "

You're damn straight I have not been to Europe -- All I read was this:

"Don't leave Fido in the hotel room when it's time for dinner. A dog's gotta eat too! And no matter where you're headed, we can point you towards a great sidewalk cafe, brew pub, coffee shop, or other eatery in Europe that will welcome Fido to join you at an outdoor table. Bone appetit! "

    https://www.bringfido.com/restaurant/region/europe/

If I ever did find myself in Europe even California for that, I certainly would not go to any restaurant that allowed a dog inside of the restaurant or even outdoors for that matter.

Then you have a problem and will starve in Europe my friend for not eating in restaurants
