The reporter who did this story needs to grow up a bit childish if you ask me someone lost their life and they are just showing off at how many hits they got from people looking at their stupid website ...
-
I'm surprised they can afford to pay these news reports with how much crap they print in these Thai Newspapers I for one never buy a paper here... Has any real justice been served here in Thailand for when they closed the airport down in 2008 or has it just been sweep under the carpet like everything else …
-
Find it hard to believe really i know many people in the tourism industry finding hard to make money and some are thinking of closing up due to this problem ..
-
it seems they have been nabbed and it seems they were former business partners ,,,

I would think this is down to the phone scams in Pattaya... I bet this person who was knifed in the neck was the ringleader and promise them the world if they stayed on some of the people may have went home rightly so and the others probably stayed because he the ringleader promised them the world and when the people weren't seeing any money for months probably their emotions probably got the best of them … I've also looked on Google and seen the same passports from the phone scams been shown … I can also see the police catching them and if they do maybe they will need to bring some body bags with them …

Why have they persisted in the application, when they have already stated last month that they are short of cash.
They had to delay buying a new fleet of aircraft for their long haul replacement.
Greedy to get unfair competition, and stupid if you don't have the money to buy the aircraft to run a new airline.
What are Thai doing ???? get some money from who knows!! update with the delayed order, back into good profits and bingo. Get your fares down on International routes, more custom, more profits then expand where you can. I couldn't run an airline and that is obvious, but down to earth thinking sometimes helps. Think -Ryan Air-think Emirates-Etihad-EVA.
There is another factor, all be it rather childish.
NokAir (which was initially a small step away from Thai) is fairly successful and has good numbers in terms of bums in seats. However Nok has it's
own oficial structure and it's strong enough to stand alone.
But, Thai have tried to interfere on numerous fronts, one item is that Thai tried to insist that Nok take large numbers of old Thai past use by date cabin crew.
The CEO of Nok refused and has continued to refuse to take them. His reason is that they will bring with them the lazy attitude and unproductive working behaviors of long-term Thai cabin crew.
He has inisted that he build a different working culture and behaviors and he has done just that, and pretty well.
Some on the board of Thai have pushed for another airline, the main purpose to compete with Nok in a childish pout.
Smart run airline Nok, These Thai cleaver dick people cannot even run their own airline properly, they say they are back in profit, but have yet to find the money for new aircraft. Hopefully they will not try to fob off Nok with their aged fleet, or discarded crew. Anyway why is Thai meddling in another??? better they run their airline for the passengers benefit NOT for management perks etc.
totally 100% with you on that one ?

DTAC is the only company that isn't currently pursuing 3g, For good reason, they've had the foresight to wait until the next generation, which will boost them ahead and rule the market.Investing in the current 3g system is a lost cause and money wasted by True and AIS.
DTAC is about to make checkmate, and people are out to stop them.
Like the original inception of cellphones in Thailand, second generation 3g/4g will be the new benchmark. With the money DTAC has saved by not investing in current 3g, no one will be able to touch their performance in the next generation 3/4g.
I've always had good and honest service from DTAC, and they never try to make it seem like your getting something that you aren't unlike True and AIS.
I'd recommend anyone to go with DTAC instead of either True or AIS any day of the week.
All of which makes it a good investment opportunity and way to even scores Thai style.
Yea agree let AIS & True do there own thing.. Thais are always right untill they get it done Thai style then cry to mummy and daddy ...

Air passengers face further 8pc rise in fares
The chief economist at airline industry body IATA, Brian Pearce, tells Transport Editor David Millward that soaring oil prices and tax rises mean passengers can expect to pay up to eight per cent more for plane tickets by the end of the year. Passengers face fare rises of up to eight per cent because of soaring oil prices and further tax rises, a leading aviation economist has warned. Brian Pearce of the International Air Transport Association said that, despite a fall in demand for leisure travel, the chances of carriers discounting fares is remote.
