  1. This the best I have found so far. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/6mbps-1-sim-true-melonthai-6mbps-i303442606-s523812389.html?clickTrackInfo=undefined&search=1&spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.18
  2. Are there any recommendations for the best 6 month unlimited data tariff (any mobile network) with a url link? I cancelled my post paid True plan when I went back to UK, pre Covid, but will be back in Thailand in a few weeks. I seem to remember that getting 6 months at the best rate was available either from online packages on Lazada or by actually visiting the True, AIS, Dtac retail shop. So far I am struggling to find anything suitable from online search, just tourist sims available from the Airport. Any urls would be very welcome?
  3. I had the same issue, but my bank is Kasikorn Bank. I asked by email how I could get a new ATM card once expired and I would like to get the card at a branch which is not at my local branch in Bangkok. Response: "According to your enquiry regarding to renew debit card, in this case, you can bring original passport and passbook contact any Kasikornbank branch in order to re-issue the new debit card with our staff directly. In case before 1 month //and within 3 months after your card is expired, there will be only annual fee that depended on your type of K-Debit card. If it is not in that condition, you will be charged of Card issuance with annual fee that depended on your type of K-Debit card." After further emails sent the cost of ATM card issuance was 50 Baht and annual fee was 250 Baht.
  4. Great summary of options - Hopefully useful for everyone - Thanks.
  5. Mnnn - Therefore - If enter back with tourist visa - This would give 165 days - And would only require 15 days outside Thailand on a single exit - And no eVisa application required....This seems do-able. Not sure if its still true, but pre covid Ho Chi Minh City was always the most comfortable experience - If not then fly direct to Phnom Penh and apply i.e This would remove the travel from HCMC and PP to make a border entry.
  6. Yup - Probably - Then its 150 days - if second entry is allowed exempt.
  7. Since the new 45 day visa exempt might also provide the same 45 day extension when details are fully released. If a second exempt is allowed after exit and then when the extension is applied this provides a total of 180 days. I was expecting to be applying for a multi entry tourist visa to cover the length of my visit of 180 days in six weeks time from London Embassy. Obviously there is a lot of assumption in my question, being if 45 day extension is the available and a second entry exempt is also permitted, but if so this would then mean only one exit out of Thailand and not having to use the eVisa site with its limitations. Ignoring my assumptions, cos nobody knows anything yet - Have I missed anything outside of this?
  8. I posted a response from the London Embassy when being asked the question - Can an eVisa be applied for outside the country.
  9. Since there has been a number of posts regarding this subject - Today I received a following response from the London Embassy for the following question asked. eMail Sent: "I want to enter Thailand on a Visa exempt, then leave Thailand after 20 days to visit Vietnam for 30 days. Can I apply for an eVisa while in Vietnam to re-enter Thailand?" eMail Received: Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for your email. We are unable to proceed with your application if you are not currently in the UK or Ireland when applying for a visa with us. Warmest regards, The Visa Team Its not clear how the Embassy would know where you are since the process is all done online. It would however be possible theoretically for immigration when entering Thailand to identify that the application was at a prior date of another visas showing you were outside home country at the time of application of the eVisa - But do they really have this check happening or what problem immigration thought that they were solving. Anyway for what its worth - I just thought that this might add something for those wanting test the process.
  10. " I hadn't booked any flight" - Didn't the eVisa application require a flight out of Thailand with 60 days (of entering Thailand)?
  11. Was the plane ticket showed just the return ticket back to your own country or did you also include the flight ticket out to a neighbouring country within 60 days? - I have this same question still awaiting a response from the London Embassy. I was also concerned that a single night hotel booking was not going to be enough, before also getting an apartment lease - However I guess that five nights should not be seen as any different to one night - so it was good to see your experience posted here.
  12. Mnnn - Interesting. This seems like an option for 180 days if when staying 30 days outside Thailand (Vietnam in my case) - My only issue was actually knowing I could get these visa's back2back, but this info (Also DrJack54 on previous post) - It seems like the back2back Visa's are possible - So Thanks
  13. Would the poster have any issues with two back to back visa exempts, by either by land or air border? - And any thoughts on what immigration's position is usually when applying for two back to back 30 day extension's ?
