Yes.
Wire transfer is received by the Thai bank in US dollars if that is what you requested. The Thai bank will convert the US dollar amount to thai baht.
Do not send Thai baht from the US bank. You would have to buy a currency contract from your US bank

Does that mean 90 day reporting is also deferred to September 26 from say May?

Immigration is going to keep the paperwork for a year and check?
I have not seen an immigration officer look at a computer screen.
All they do is look at the required documents you hand them when you sit opposite him in the office.

I use the income method.
I transfer my company pension and my Social Security every month.
I do not need to leave approximately $27,000 US in a Thai bank earning little or no interest, or any potential government restrictions on my money.
-
Your telling me immigration does not check maintaining the 400 K minimum balance until your next application?
What if you want to do the income method on your next application.
How would immigration know which option you used for your existing visa.

90 day reporting all inclusive:
- In persion
- Online
- Mail In?
-
I know there are two options available for meeting the financial requirements for a retirement visa or an extension.
- 800 K in a Thai bank account 2 or 3 months before application date or,
- Monthly income of 65 K being wired from an overseas bank for 12 months into your Thai bank account.
My question is with the 800 K baht in the bank option, you have to have no less than 400 K baht for 90 days in your Thai bank account?
If so, how does immigration know which option you used when they approved your retirement visa or extension when you do your 90 day reporting?

Why do 90 day reports before July 31?
Immigration did it for you during the amnesty period.
Then you have to do the next 90 day report when it becomes due.

After July 31, then what?
Everybody has to report Monday, August 3?
If you had to report say May 16, under the immigration amnesty you are covered until July 31
Your next scheduled reporting would be August 15.
If you had to report say April 24, under the immigration amnesty you are covered until July 31.
Your next scheduled reporting would have been July 23. You are still covered under the immigration amnesty.
Then the subsequent reporting date would be October 22.
That is how I see the 90 day reporting cycle to be played out after July 31.

Yes, however when you normally have to report, Immigration says you can report 14 days before report date and there is a grace period that allows you to report 7 days after due date.
90 days from your last report date due after July 31 plus 7 days grace period which was normally allowed.

Anyone know why I can't book a domestic flight on AirAsia using my Samsung tablet with Firefox browser, but can book a flight with AirAsia using my Samsung phone with Firefox browser?
PS: THERE ARE NO DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM UDON TO PHUKET WITH AIRASIA UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1.
They cancelled my August 1 flight from Udon to Phuket.

Will there be a 7 day grace period when new reporting instructions are given for those that did not have to report before July 31?

$91 for shipping?

How is domestic tourism going to help the Thai economy?
If a Thai has 20,000 baht discretionary income to spend and goes on a holiday in Thailand he is not buying clothes, furniture or electronic equipment.
All he is doing is taking money from one pocket and putting it into the other pocket. There is no increase in GDP
You need foreign money from tourists to increase Thailand's GDP.

Wait until the bars open up especially bars on Soi Bangla in Phuket.
Physical distancing please
Bargirls wear facemasks please
-
Who is going to go there?
No tourists
Thai's aren't going to spend 150 Baht for a beer or 200 Baht for a lady drink.

Isn't also the start of rainy season (august & september).
I don't think tourists want to come during rainy season and be quarantined 14 days at their hotel when they also only have a 21 day holiday.

Another worthless contribution by Olmate.
Add something constructive not jibberish as a veteran contributor to the forum as you state.
Issue over.

BUT WHY WAIT?
If you don't want to answer the question Olin, keep your noncontributory comments to yourself.
I'm sorry, no one on thaivisa.com has asked duplicate questions before.

Ubonjoe always says wait. Don't know why. He said he had to report in April, but is in no rush.
I see no advantage waiting.

Required 90 day reporting has been deferred or suspended until after July 31 due to the Covid-19. However, if you want to report now if your due date has expired, you can do it.
What is the advantage of waiting until after July 31 to do your 90 day report or doing it now if you 90 day period has expired?
You still have to report.
I see all these posts saying you don't have to do it now wait until after July 31.
Why?

96.5% recovery rate for a virus that has no cure.
98.6% have mild symptoms worldwide
Tell me who is overreacting.
That is why alot of people are not taking it seriously.
Look at the stats I gave.
The media never mentions the recovery rate or those that have mild symptoms.
My friend lost his job because of the virus could not buy food for the family then he killed his wife and ultimately committed suicide.
Those two deaths are not in the Covid-19 mortality statistics.
