  1. I don't know how people survive in that kind of freezing temp. And then to have to so the normal things in life like getting out of the house!

I would never leave my heated room. Ever!!

So I feel for you. And hope the next 24 hrs goes quickly for u biggrin.png

well the "record" here is minus 51,4 degrees C!!! Personally I have experienced 41, Its so cold that pee goes to snow if you do your thing outside!!! :)

  2. Harry fuc_ked up again im afraid. Starting argubly the best playmaker on the left, and one of Europes best LW on the right, should be a criminal offence. Bale has dropped in form the last 10 games or so, yes he has had a good game in there, but in general he has dropped off. I personally think it is a result of playing more at the center of the field and yesterday on the right. He had his worst game in a year and a half. But getting on the left the last 10 min liftet him up again. Should have been switch to the other side at the start of second half. Having said that, Everton always doble up on him, and Coleman did a great job tracking back.

442 is not a good formation for this team as long as Lennon is not playing, yes it can work with VDV sometimes, but only if the other team does not have a strong left side. So against Everton with Baines storming down that side time and time again, it would not have worked. Defoe had a good game and has looked sharp lately, but Harry should have lined up with 451 or 4411 (pretty much the same). Then he could have played Bale on this best side, and Modric in the center with Kranjcar on the right. Not his best side, but he has had some good games there lately. Maybe a player like Dos Santos (whos best side in right) should have been given more chances so we had a back up to Lennon, just maybe...

What I cant stand with Harry, is that he never admits fuc_king up. Its just one of those days.... yes the second half was good and they were unlucky to not score. But the team should never have had come into a situation like that and trailing a goal. The away games under Harry is normally like this, come out and just sit back and invite the other team on to us. Then if we are under at half time, we come out playing in the second. I can remember one or two good first halfs this season, away to Wigan and maybe Fulham. But then in the second half they completely rolled over again.

Harry has done wonders at Tottenham, but his line up selections and tactics are way below the best managers. Next game against Stoke is a must win, as im sure Arsenal will win against Newcastle today and then be only a point behind. I guess we all feel angered these days, but a win against Stoke and getting something out of the Chelsea game, and we are back on track. After the Chelsea game, we dont have so tough games left (on paper). However they need to get their shit together on the away games.

PS! Dont get me started on Kabouls performances lately.

I hope you enjoy Bangkok! smile.png

Thx, im sure I will. Use a month to get used to the busy city scene and the way things are done, then I should be fine. I also guess I will get some grey hair when Im going to apply for a non im I visa. :)

  4. I feel there is a big difference in behaviour of men who are in Thailand and who are at home. Especially if its guys that have been to the bar scene. These guys would never been acting like this at home. Many think every smile from a girl in Thailand is an invitation, and therefore act on it. I have never lived in Thailand, but im moving there with my wife next week, and Im very aware of the possibilities that will arise when I go out with my friends. But I have found the perfect wife, and are not willing to risk losing her just because of a one night stand. That said, I think many people are not afraid of losing their wifes, they assume they can ask for forgivnes and everything will be fine, especially if they have a wife that has worked in the bar scene. I think the divorce rate is like 50% now, so I guess many should never got married.

  6. Hi guys and gals.

36 year old Norwegian dud here. Im moving to Bkk next week with my wife, who I meet in Melbourne in 2009. After 2 years in Norway, we are now moving to Bkk so she can try to land her dream job (no its not in a bar or something like that). Pretty main stream guy who loves his football, a good bar and some nice entertainment. Its allowed to look on the menu, even if you are on a diet. :) Guess I must try to find a bar or pub to watch my weekly football, and maybe find some 5-a-side to join.

So when I move there next week, I would love to catch with some of you guys for a beer, as I dont expect to click with my wifes friends. :) So drop me a message if you guys have something going on.

    Cheers

    Troy

  7. We're not in Bangkok much Troyron...but you might try the Crossbar on Soi 23.

Occasionally one of us might be in attendance...whistling.gif

If you're unlucky you might meet a gooner or Man Yoo fan though...

    thanks, Ill try it out.

  8. Hi guys and gals. Im moving to Bkk next week and was hoping to find a pub where you Tottenham supporters gather to see games. Been supporting Tottenham since 89/90 season. Im from Norway and how I became a Spurs fan is just a fluke. Became a big fan of Gary W. Lineker mid way through the 86 season, but did not have a team at that moment (was only 10 years old then) and since Barcelona was not much on tv in Norway I did not get a special team feeling before he moved back to England and Tottenham. English football has been on tv here since the 70's so now I could follow him every week and since Tottenham also bought Erik Thorstvedt the media started to write more about Tottenham as well. Since then I have had my ups and downs over the years as you guys im sure. This year has been fantastic and I hope to have some good times in a pub in Bangkok to follow them on their way to that third spot.

So do you guys have a regular pub where you gather and watch our mighty spurs?

    cheers

  9. I just booked a condo in Aree (or Ari as some write). My wife is over the moon with that area, will be interesting to see.

You won't regret it, it is one of the nicest residential areas in Bangkok IMO.

Sounds good. Have been reading up on it, and it sounds alright. Not in the midle of the party area which is good, but not to far away either if I want to go out for a drink or two. Just 3 weeks to go :)

  10. Thanks guys. Plenty of good advice. I guess 10 MB is not that much, just realize many of my clients have that as a max limit for what the can recive per email. Skype will be essential for me, as I need to make allot of calls. My wife also recommends true, but who can trust gals in this kinda matters :) But I will look into what they have.

One question, what does Innerspeed mean with this: For skype quality and latency are important, not speed?

  11. Hi guys and gals,

moving to Bkk within a month, and are in need of an internet line that is quick enough to give stable signals for running skype to Europe and uploading large documents (10 MB). What up load speed would you recommend and maybe you have a provider that you are happy with. Download speed must also be above 10MBps.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

PS! Is there any company out there that provides both tv and internet, maybe true fiber optic?

    cheers

  12. Hi, im pretty much in the same situation and moving there in April. Just a question, do you get a work permit, or just hope nobody finds out? We are looking for something around On Nut, or on the other side of BTS. It is just a few minutes into the CBD.

    Found any good places?

"do you get a work permit, or just hope nobody finds out?"

Puleeeez, dont tell me you are yet another ELT, boiler room operator or timeshare tout.

hehe not really. Work as an fire engineer.
